oh no it looks like he did do just that to me at least - he walks up and sees the doorbell camera, tries to hit it turns around as if he is looking for something to cover it and gets the weeds/flowers as though that was the best he could do...which contributes to the perception of not so good at this...
Well, if that's what he actually did he needs to go back to abduction school cuz he most certainly flunked Face Hiding 101.

And that's MO. lol

If I were that person in the video, I would be running to another country right now.
It's a 60 minute drive to the border from Tucson. He may already be there.

The kidnapper’s lack of mobility stood out to me. Either was wearing way too many layers or really struggles with flexibility.

What I don't understand is that even without a subscription to the ring camera the FBI was able to work with a tech company to unearth the video of the suspect at her door at 2 am. If they could do that why can't they unearth a video of when she was dropped off at her home around 9:45 pm Jan 31st.
I’m thinking they probably can and have, but if she went in through the garage, it might only be video of a car pulling in and around….but it would be something.

The camera reported to be one that rewrites over video every 3 hours. “Luckily” the subject approaching the door dismantled the camera so it actually could no longer rewrite over video. The last images saved were thus able to be accessed. And they were of him.

Did anyone else find the still shots of the person to be terrifying, but the video to be almost bumbling?
He looks like a total dope, not a criminal mastermind to say the least.

What about the Circle K footage? Ready to see that, too.

So many - maybe this, and maybe that -
then a maybe-circumstance is given that is made up out of whole cloth . With no relation to any previous reality or actual information, not even is based on the facts or actual evidence.
respectfully, this is a forum that talks about possibilties of crimes, the missing etc. I would think with all of your time here you would have noticed that. We're just discussing and not saying this is in fact what happened but offering other ideas. IMO

Is anyone here from Tucson? Does the Amelia Maldonalo Elem School sound familiar? Is that close to AG neighborhood?

The outfit was overkill. I work with similar nitrile thick gloves in my workshop, very cumbersome. He seemed to me to have two masks on (one thinner one underneath that was black and people assuming it's the mustache or eyebrows).

It just looks more like an offering to me, not like he's using the flowers to shield his face.

All I know is if I was trying to hid my face... 1) I would have done it BEFORE walking up to where there was likely a camera, and 2) I'd do a lot better job than this. My face wouldn't be seen unlike this guy's face.

Just had a thought.

Maybe he saw a black widow spider or something there, so he got the lantana plant to brush it away?

Yes. The Sheriff Nanos stated this explicitly early on that they were working with the company cause she didn't have an active subscription (could have lapsed) adding difficulty getting the footage.

Nest dug this off their servers after days. If anything this proves that they store your footage on their server they have it regardless what they tell you when you don't have access to it with no subscription.
I have a cheapo cam from Walmart called Geeni and I do not have a subscription. We have it in our house to check on our dog. It is set to motion notification and it screenshots every so many minutes. I can scroll back through many days of screenshot without a subscription. If I put a memory card in the camera, I could have video as well. We had a water pipe burst and we were out of town and I happened to check on the dog and then the live feed to see water pouring in our kitchen. We were 70 miles away from home. I was able to scroll back to see what time it started.

Yes - they really do seem to be not so good at this... and they may wish to reconsider this career path...jmho lol

Yes I'm aware. The comment I was responding to asked why they couldn't get footage of NG arriving home around 9:45pm. IMO, Google was able to retrieve more footage than has been released to the public. I haven't seen anything confirming that they couldn't get any other footage from that evening.
She was dropped off at her garage, according to the timeline. My Nest camera would not capture me going in my garage. It covers my front porch and sidewalk. Too bad she didn’t have a camera on her garage. Most people don’t. However, my phone stores when my garage door opens and closes and I get alerts. It’s from an app I use.
