Only blood dna we got back was on the porch. Items are still being processed.

They have each said "no primary suspect, at this time"

She may not drive at night and knew she was coming home after dark. My mom doesn't like to drive at night either at the stage of her life.
Heck, I'm 40 and I HATE driving at night. I am still capable, but if I was going to have a drink and it's late and cloudy, I would prefer an Uber or a ride.

Just my opinion but it sounds to me per the FBI spokesman, I get the feeling that the family wanted to make that ransom plea video. FBI helped them do that. I don't believe that they feel like this is a ransom case. All just my general feeling watching and listening to them talk.

are you though? you may not be. And yes I miss the days of breaking up threads into 50 posts or 80 or whatever because it is too hard to find information anymore
I think it's easier to find info when there aren't broken up threads. One search in one thread is a lot easier than going thread by thread with your search criteria. But different strokes for different folks. We all have ways that work best for us. :)

the FBI was there when the family made the video, but FBI guy keeps repeating, that it's up to the family how to handle that ransom letter.

Family wants to talk, they want proof of life.

FBI is handling all things ransom related

More from the FBI agent, less from the sheriff please

This is what the sheriff said about that (I was typing while he was talking)
"2:12am software detects person on camera but no video available. no subscription"
I actually think the sheriff is doing a good job. This is a huge and complicated investigation that’s happening under the media microscope.

My God, sounds as though this was really well planned and executed.....still in the dark

Seems odd considering how close they live to each other. Butttt maybe NG used Uber because it gives her a sense of freedom if she doesn't drive. 🤷‍♀️
Or maybe she does drive, but not after dark. I think sunset that day would have been around 5:55 and it would have gotten dark around 6:20pm.

Depending when the dinner was, it might've been dark when she set out. It would definitely have been dark when she returned after dinner. So if she had driven to AG's, she (or someone else) would've had to drive her car back home. Taking an Uber may make more sense than being picked up.

have you eliminated the son in law? we are actively looking into everyone. it would be irresponsible not to. everyone is still a suspect. uber driver, gardener, etc.
they have said there are no suspects. They didn't say anyone was eliminated so everyone is still on the table until clear.

Kind of crazy that the birdhouse camera I bought my parents has more included storage than a Nest camera. I guess they really want people to pay for the subscription?

The FBI stated the reward is for the "recovery" of Nancy Guthrie. Is this an indication that they do not believe that she is alive? I unfortunately do not believe that she has survived unless she is being well cared for. From the blood on the walkway, there is some reason that she was bleeding... :(

Just my opinion.

The #FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance. She was last seen at her residence in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona, on the evening of January 31, 2026: https://fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/nancy-guthrie

Inadmissible in court and too easy to maniplate.
The point in asking that question would identify if they were looking at anyone. If they liked someone in particular.

SG, as far as I know, has never indicated personal political views.

Please cite a source.
I agree with you, in-the-details, the person you are responding to, could be more clear and helpful, by citing a source.

SG's wiki entry says that she is known for her balanced reporting. (People here, can read it if they wish.)

So, I don't believe she's considered to be one party or the other. Or, ... even paints herself as anything other than a multi-media journalist who is committed to a balanced view. One can not assume anything about her personal politics.

MOO.

100% agree. It just doesn't logically make sense, but they're also not going to tell the family to try if it isn't detrimental to the investigation.

I don't understand this comment. Nancy Guthrie, assuming she's still alive, is an adult who lives alone, drives and is of very sound mind. I don't think it's up to her daughter to "let" her do anything.
Ok, not "let", but "OFFER". Unless mama was very much that independant and would refuse.

He is! I just prefer the "short sweet & to the point" style of the FBI agent.
