i don't know that NG was worth millions and millions of dollars.....

Not a clue what her assets are other than the house but my guess is she was wisely invested over the years and has a nice bank account.

Agreed. Since Ben’s murder, I will no longer take Uber alone, either.

It does seem a bit strange to me especially since they were so close (10 minutes away).

One would think either AG or TC could have quickly gone to get her (just as they allegedly drove her home) whilst the other member of the couple could have stayed at their home waiting for any other guests.

Moreover, Nancy still has her car. Though her mobility is limited, if she does still drive, even occasionally, why did Nancy not just drive herself to AG’s home rather than taking this Uber (being that she was traveling to a familiar location that is a very short distance from her home)?

Is it possible she just chooses not to drive at night? (She left in Uber at 5:32pm per the press conference & sunset in Tucson was not until 5:57pm on 01/31/2026.)

Is there a possibility that she consumes medication in the pm hours that would potentially impair her ability to safely drive?

Did we ever find out/has it been determined whether anyone else besides AG and TC was at “game night?”

my opinion is she knew she would be going back home in the dark and does not drive at night by choice.

sure... she could have driven herself then left her car and family drive her home... but she needed her car to go to church in the morning.. thus... uber.

Certainly not alarming. When I tried to break up a potential fight between my cat and a raccoon, my cat in his fury bit and attacked ME ! The amount of blood was terrible, pooled all over the floors whilst rushing to the sink to clean it. At the urgent care next day I didn't even need stitches, just a double dose of antibiotics. I'm not young either.

More worried about Nancy's psychological state and heart than those blood drops.

I'm all for art but in most cases this isn't a source of income, more likely the exact opposite. If they live within a 10 minutes drive of NG it's pretty much the same area, so very nice suburban Tucson. From what I've learned here the about the price of real estate out there, admittedly know knowing that much about the details and so forth and so on (I'm not from the USA), a teacher and a poet (without some additional source of income) would be out of their league a bit out there, wouldn't they?

There IS money in the family. So be it.. Often, the case, is just that they do help out others with real estate ......
Harping on the value of either home just seems fruitless.
Nancy bought her house in 1975 for 85K (discussed a lot early in the thread)

I am not saying finances could be an issue. I am just saying that the costs of the properties is just not that relevant.

So she's a poet and he's a teacher. They just bought a house last year for 650 thousand something? Is that a normal amount with these jobs? Idk if being a poet is a job tho Maybe SG helped with funding so they can look after mom a bit? Where i live (Netherlands) no way with these jobs it's possible to afford a home of this value so i really have no idea

i think you could be right about. AG helping her mother as the only child that is local. SG could have helped her. At least from public accounts they have been close with the mother and each other. It is a nice house but these days not considered super expensive,

Yeah I wondered what he meant by that. Maybe...?

- Blood that has been cleaned up, but then shows up under UV light that once found then needs to be tested
- unidentified fingerprints that need to be cross referenced against known visitors?
- unidentified hairs " "
- fibres that might lead to a weapon or restraints (eg rope) but that they haven't identified yet

Presumably there's nothing they have found that immediately flags on the police database.

But perhaps they need to rule out every person's DNA profile who they know has been inside the house, and then they might identify some belonging to someone who is unknown.

At which point they could test against possible future suspects?

I wonder if LE was able to pinpoint where NG sustained the injury that resulted in the blood by the door. And from that surmise how the injury happened. Was she assailed? Was she forced to move faster than she could and tripped? Was anything missing and whom could they ask? Did they let her out shoes on? It had to be utterly terrifying.

Am I the only one who doesn't think the price of the house is ridiculous? Yes, he's a teacher and we don't know exactly how Annie earns money. But they are in their late 50's and wealth does accumulate. Maybe Nancy helped them, maybe Savannah did, maybe no one did. I know teachers in my area who have similarly priced homes. It's only slightly above the national median. Real estate is ridiculous now. I don't think the price of their home means anything.

Was thinking the same thing about all the comments on the price of their house. Our 1800 sq ft house is worth $650, my husband has a very normal job and I am a SAHM. We live in the northeast and that’s just what you have to spend to be in a decent school district here.

The thread is moving so fast so maybe this has been answered- since she’s not very mobile and used Uber to transport the evening she went to Anne’s, did she plan to Uber to church?? Or how was she getting to church- sources?

For a family member who would already be in the line of an inheritance, or whose spouse would be, this IMO would be a reckless way to get the money sooner.

Nancy is 84. Even if she lived ten more years, a family member doing this is on a high-wire act. So much can go wrong and you’ll never see the money if you get caught.

Which I fervently hope will be the case, no matter who did this.

Yes murder is not rational but people do it all the time for motives such as a large sum of money

I could have googled, so thank you! Just seemed weird to term it differently than dna to me. Maybe he was thinking, a source other than the blood. It does make me wonder if he was thinking of specific evidence.

I don't know that NG was rolling in money? The implication would be that if this was a kidnapping/ransom the money would come from SG's income. Otherwise yes, like you would think if NG wasn't in excellent health, why go through all this trouble.

I think it's either going to be an inside job and the ransom letter is not serious. Or, it is a true kidnapping and ransom and not a crime by family. Immediate family setting up an entire ransom scenario while the FBI is literally hanging out at their house would actually be insane. If the ransom letter is real and someone has her, I don't think it's family related.

It hasn't been, but in the press conference earlier the FBI agent present mentioned a 5pm (no timezone provided) deadline for today. There's a second deadline for sometime on Monday, but they didn't give a specific time for that one.

Edit: They're being pretty vague about what they think happened inside the house, sheriff's admitted he shouldn't have said 'taken from her bed'.
