  • Two California teenagers are facing felony charges after a violent Scottsdale home invasion where they allegedly targeted a family for $66 million in cryptocurrency.
  • The suspects, identified as Jackson Sullivan and Skylar Lapaille, reportedly posed as delivery drivers to gain entry before duct-taping and assaulting the homeowners.
  • Investigators believe the teens were extorted into the plot; police caught the pair shortly after they fled the scene in a blue Subaru.

The crime was a reported home invasion near Cactus Road and Loop 101. According to court documents, two teenagers, identified as Jackson Sullivan and Skylar Lapaille, arrived at the home dressed as package delivery drivers the morning of Jan. 31. They allegedly forced their way inside, restrained two adults with duct tape, and assaulted them.

This is Cameron Guthrie. I'm speaking for the Guthrie family. Whoever is out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you. We haven't heard anything directly. We need you to reach out and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward. But first, we have to know that you have our mom. We want to talk to you and we are waiting for contact.
I just can't imagine this!!

I recall LE saying they took NG’s car in for inspection. Maybe because she was last seen entering her garage.IDK.

But, does anyone know if AG’s car was taken in for inspection as was mentioned in AB’s inside intel allegations?
Brian Entin on Megyn Kelly today said that he has NOT seen a car be towed or taken for inspection. That the car could be in the garage. But in any case with so many news crews and cameras around, someone likely would have seen it if it had been towed away or taken in. Megyn agreed and said that would have been really big news.

If the ransom note is real, and the kidnappers are real... how could they give proof of life or contact the family that is not traceable? The FBI is all over this, I would think even a burner phone, while it may not be traced to who it is, but location? which then gives them an area to look at cameras.

So far they have been untraceable. No footage from early morning Sunday at the home, no leads on the email sent to the media yet. It would be very risky if they contacted the family directly.

You'd have thought they'd have done that already. Unless they have a different time period they're interested in.
Exactly!!!

i honestly think the ransom note is legit, guys. and i never ever believe in the craziest theories.

i don't think it would be this hard for LE to figure out that it was a hoax or that the SIL was involved, especially with the FBI heavily working this case.

two things can be true, the note can be legit, the kidnapping can be staged and not real.

Looking for active doorbell/security cameras more than likely to verify timelines, stories, cars, drivers, casers, followers, etc. Lends more credence to AB's assertions, IMO, but could just be being thorough.

This is a new expert take on the situation which may be interesting;

It's a good thought, the abductor so for as we know it's a possible legit ransom request. Time will tell shortly on that. Her son has not heard again from the abductor. The abductor might just want to see that bitcoin in their 'wallet' and has not yet. Sure they are watching and seeing that it is being checked out as legit or not. Hoping they respond to son's video and make it a true and real 'show of life' for Nancy G. I do not want her to be just abandoned as could happen if ransom not met. IMO

I thought the sheriff confirmed the car was towed as a part of standard operating procedure….during today’s press conference.

There are more "controversial" ways to cast a net for data in a case like this...In the Nancy Guthrie case, commercially available marketing/ad tech location data (from app-based tracking via advertising IDs, sold through brokers like those powering tools such as Fog Reveal) could be used by investigators in targeted, event-specific ways to help reconstruct what happened around her Catalina Foothills home during the suspected abduction window (roughly late Saturday night, Jan. 31, into early Sunday morning, Feb. 1, around 2:28 a.m., when her pacemaker stopped syncing with her phone). Public reports so far emphasize traditional cell tower pings, her left-behind phone analysis, nearby surveillance, license plate readers, and forced-entry evidence (including her blood on the porch). No sources explicitly confirm use of purchased marketing location data here, but it's a standard investigative option in high-profile missing/abduction cases like this—especially when the goal is to cast a wide net for unknowns without immediate suspects. Traditional cell tower records (which reports confirm are being analyzed) show rough location via tower connections. Marketing data often provides more precise GPS/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth pings from apps—filling gaps in suburban/rural areas like the Catalina Foothills, where tower coverage might be coarser... While I am in no way an expert in this field, it didn't take me long to put together this information...

California man arrested over alleged fake ransom demand in Nancy Guthrie case

Federal authorities said a California man tried to cash in on the search for Nancy Guthrie, the missing 84-year-old mother of "Today" show anchor Savannah Guthrie, by sending what investigators called an "imposter" ransom demand.

Derrick Callella, of Los Angeles, was arrested and charged in a federal complaint after investigators said he used a fake phone number and demanded Bitcoin from members of the Guthrie family.

BREAKING: As the first deadline listed in the ransom note passes, Nancy Guthrie’s son has released another video on Instagram. He says the family still has not heard from the abductors apparently holding their mother.

Yesterday I was convinced the FBI coerced or encouraged the family to film the video. We all know it was scripted heavily. But, during the presser today, the FBI guys stated at least 2-3 times how the video was "the family's decision" with great emphasis. Is this to throw us off once again? Because I do think the FBI had a great handling with this decision and the video posted tonight. Thoughts welcome.

The segment with Entin was before the PC took place.
