AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

My county's Assessors website lists all that info. Not all state's counties have that info online, though.
FWIW there is a Guthrie Road and Guthrie Peak Drive in Pima Co....https://www.to.pima.gov/propertySearch/ It is a really common road and surname in the area. And some revocable trusts and businesses.

I'd lilke to know more about this. From the post it seemed they tried to give detectives a tip and did not get to do so? I recall early on someone reported a story like this and the neighbor saw a 'strange car" ie one not normally at the house.

See this happens occasionally with big cases and I'm baffled every time. It is not difficult to find someone who will take a tip during a massive high profile situation like this. It just isn't. And if you really believe you might have seen something, there is surely nothing more important than to make that report and do it immediately, in whatever way or as many ways as you can. Especially if you're a neighbour - they'd bite your hand off for anything witnessed by people close to her home.

What i really don't understand is while the family has the resources why they didn't bother with the subscription. Especially because it's a elderly lady living alone and who is fairly fragile.
One thing that I feel is being overlooked is that she is living on her own and making her own decisions. They might have suggested it, and she turned it down. Maybe she felt having everything tapes was intrusive. Maybe she was old fashioned and didn't see the point. They can't make her do it.

JMO, but the ransom note with verified bitcoin account info can only mean 2 things. Either it is a scammer completely unrelated to the disappearance trying to take advantage of the situation and get some free money into their bitcoin account. Or it is someone the family knows, who realizes there is a rich daughter worth millions and decided to kidnap NG to get that daughter to pay up. They may not have realized this would blow up nationally the way this has. Now they are scared and probably know they are being watched. Hence no further follow up on the ransom note.

I wonder what the relationship is like now between the Guthries and LE. If a highly placed LE official did leak "suspect" info to AB, that leak is not helpful to resolving this. JMO.

What I find interesting about this flyer from Pima County Sheriff’s Department is that it said it is unknown what Nancy Guthrie was wearing when she disappeared. Surely if she was out with family for any length of time, they could describe what she was wearing.
Were the clothes she had on that evening found at her home?

Echoing some other posters’ thoughts on depositing some of the money. Would think that they could pretty quickly identify as a hoax / scam if immediately, somewhere around the world in a country where someone wouldn’t have legal recourse from the U.S,, it is withdrawn.

I have issues with this, she could have called the numbers that are all over posts to report something. I feel like she wanted to get info maybe out of fear which I could understand but there is no excuse for not contacting LE and just mosey on over. IMO
I agree. I’m not sure why she decided to wait when there were several ways to report information. I get that fear can make people hesitate, but you’d hope that if someone has a tip, they’d make sure to report it as soon as possible.

Does AG have kids? If so, do we know their ages? Do they have other relatives in Tucson?

Trying to catch up here, did they say what she reported?
Not yet, they'll want to investigate THAT bit for sure. Love to know of course, if it helps at all nail down better what and who. IMO

To be fair the bogus ransom guy may as well have just walked into the police station put his wrists together with a guilty sticky note on his forehead. That’s how easy that case was to crack…..
Lol fair enough! 😂

I have wondered (probably stupidly) if Nancy actually left Annie's house after the family dinner. An independant witness would be good. Yes, I believe the grandson was there, but he is probably a teenager with a teenager's habits. Probably said goodnight and ran upstairs to stick something in his ears.
I will say, after following quite a few cases over the years- once a case is solved and goes to trial- when the actual timeline of all events is revealed, it can be drastically different than what was initially thought. Or at least, with some surprises.

I think good chance may be they saw her other clothes there she wore earlier I imagine. If it was later in wee hours she was taken she very well had on bed clothes or changed

My issue is why wouldn't they have reached out directly to SG immediately before it got to the news? Instead these scammers went to 2 news stations and TMZ. IMO

I think these articles mean the kids arrested were extorted by others known as Red and 8. Are these related?

The teens, who are not being identified by Fox News Digital because they are both under the age of 18, allegedly posed as delivery drivers to gain access to the Scottsdale home on Jan. 31, before forcing their way inside and duct-taping and assaulting two homeowners inside.

The teenagers had met recently and were extorted by individuals known only as “Red” and “8,” court documents state. They were allegedly sent from California with $1,000 to purchase supplies for disguises, restraints and burglary tools.
Nancy Guthrie went missing around 01/31...

Because they were having a party at their house? Busy setting up? Party already started and it felt rude to leave guests? They already had a glass of wine at their party? It was much easier to get her a ride from an Uber? SO many reasons and all of them would feel normal, to me.
If they were drinking at the party, why would they drive her home afterward?
IMO.

I see you've met my Mom. 😂
