now that Maureen O thinks the same there could be something to this. Their sources know much more.
Yeh. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Either way, i don’t think the motive for taking her was actually for ransom. It almost seems like they know this, so they aren’t taking the ransom seriously?? That’s why i don’t think ransom was the motive. Maybe the note IS real, but was only written to throw LE off the right track.

I'm confused about the 2 minutes between the garage door opening then shutting.
This data shows that NG entered through the garage and the door was closed right away, yes?

So either whoever dropped her off at 9:48 ish did not enter with her and help her settle or could they have entered with her from the garage stayed a bit then exited through another door?
Would that exciting have shown up?
I find it hard to believe whoever brought her home did not go in with her, put lights on, help her get her settled etc.
imo

For your first two questions I would say 2% and 95%.

Amateur opinion and speculation only
Can we be assured the hired help have already been interogated?

I don't know why we keep debating about the uber being "odd." We've established repeatedly that in many families and with many relatives (including mine) this would not be odd in the least. We've also established that in some families they wouldn't do it. Fine. Families are different. If it's normal in some families, it could very well be normal in the Guthrie family, so I don't think it really says anything either way about the crime. Going on and on about this is like hearing that they had pizza for dinner, and saying "I don't like pizza, so someone in the family must have done it!"
Well said! I have been wondering about the Uber - which would not be a normal thing in my family. But reading this post made me rethink this ... it is entirely possible that this is a normal thing in the Guthrie family.

And if you had a child at home?
I would take the child with & the dogs stay home! It's ten minutes out of my life for my mom who I had a very deep connection with! Actually I'm surprised Nancy Uber'd over. I would have insisted that we pick her up.
To each his own...

Right. The only thing that matters is whether or not taking an Uber was out of character for NG (which as far as I know, the family hasn't mentioned).

Your last sentence made me chuckle. My youngest once called my oldest a "psychopath" because my oldest likes pineapple on his pizza. As far as I know there's no correlation between psychopathy and pizza toppings, but I could be wrong.

I'm hoping Nancy is found safe

I don’t think it is “bossy” to want to maintain your independence.

JMO
exactly....lots of assumptions about old people here.

Yes, NG is definitely a fall risk since she walks with a cane.

First we couldn’t believe it took them so long to call 911 which didn’t end up being true. And now there is an hour between the parishioner call to the family and then heading over there 😩
Ok, to be fair. My Mom literally lives down the street from me. Sometimes I call or text her and she doesn't answer, which is ODD. I will call her cell, call her house... maybe give her a few minutes (maybe she is in the shower? maybe in the bathroom and didn't take phone lol ) I will give her some time, but after about 30 minutes or so, yep, I would go over to make sure everything was okay. My timeline would be very similar.

We don't know if something like this has happened before, where she doesn't answer right away but does after 10-15 minutes or so.

There also seems to be some question about someone calling the family. Do we have confirmation of this? It was not in the timeline from LE yesterday.

Maybe it was a protectiveness thing - maybe he didn't want wife driving after dark. I don't want to stereotype people, but I do think that there's a general understanding that Italian people are very family-oriented and the men are particularly protective of their families. So it could just be how he was raised, that he felt like it was appropriate for him to take her home.
My husband picks my parents up and drops them off. He kindly volunteers. Most often it is a holiday situation, and easier as I am busy making or cleaning up from a meal. Normally he would be helping me, but my parents can’t drive after dark.

yes I agree. She actually said something to the tune that she expected LE to push back on her claim like they always do.

She must have a huge amount of confidence in her source... if this person is directly involved in the case then I sort of tend to believe her. But again, she could have been told by her source that they were looking at the SIL first since he was last with Nancy and she interpreted that as the prime and only suspect at this time.

She seems very sharp to me and is an excellent communicator. I guess time will tell if it was true all along or not. If not, she has a lot of egg on her face.
Hope her source isn't a higher-up in the FBI.........

changing subjects— NOT accusing children AT ALL, but I saw children in a Christmas photo - I think it was Christmas 2025, but maybe I’m wrong. I’m sure y’all have all seen the photo.

Who do they belong to? Again, just curious and am NOT sleuthing the kids. Are they A & T’s kids? Just wondering
SG has two so I assume AG has one?

She was very adamant about it. Definitely didn’t seem confused or like she misinterpreted something. She claimed her source was very high up in law enforcement and she stated that over and over. & she’s not known to be “sensational” or irresponsible, so this is very odd for her.

Editing to add that I’m not saying she’s right or wrong. I’m just baffled by it. Very strange for HER to make such a claim

Sometimes when it is high up person who gets it as hearsay THEY are the ones to misinterpret. High up sometimes jsut can mean NOT DIRECTLY in the investigation but being informed by a colleague. This can lead to errors in understanding and communication

The closer it gets to the Monday deadline the more stressful this must get for SG. She is most likely the only one who could afford the ransom so it puts all the weight on her shoulders. She may need to make the choice whether to send millions in crypto into a black hole essentially (not knowing if she has any chance of getting her mother back) or not sending it and living with the possibility (however slim) her mother was killed because of it. She may send the money even with zero confirmation of life. The kidnappers could be counting on this.

Never really watch the Today Show. Does Savannah Guthrie commentate on politics quite a bit? Hard to not think this was a targeted situation because of Savannah's job.

Could the blood on the front porch be from another time and not Sunday? As far as getting it tested as evidence, would they be able to tell how long it was there?
Anything is possible🤷🏻‍♀️
they can tell how old DNA evidence is, but I’m not sure if they can tell by a few hours or a day or 2. No idea…

One of the news sites did a video tracing the path from AG’s house to Nancy’s house. It’s along a major road with several gas stations and other places that would have cameras.

I don’t think AG or her husband could make it there in the middle of the night without law enforcement finding out. There’s no back or simpler route there.

On another note, the road to Nancy’s house itself is pretty secluded, but it’s only a few minutes from that major road. Not that many cars would’ve been out from 2-4am. I hope they’re slowly able to piece the perp’s likely path together. They would’ve *definitely* been caught on a camera at some point.

I thought it was less time too and then reread it again. That’s a long time. IMO

I really, really want to know more about this. We have heard that NG had not attended church in person since Covid. Was NG planning on making an exception to attend this particular Sunday? Did the perp think she would keep up her normal routine of watching the service remotely? Or did the perp know ahead of time that she had made special arrangements to attend in person this particular Sunday?
MOO she regularly physically attended church. while it may be true during Covid she did not physically attend I disbelieve the sole report that she hadn't attended service since Covid.
