Could alerts have gone to Nancy’s phone, which was left behind? First alert could be the “offline”/went dark one, perhaps second was after it had been removed? Maybe the perpetrator/s triggered something while removing the battery or destroying it?
The app on the Apple Watch replaces the bedside unit-my question is, what happens when out of range of the unit or app?
I don't think it "proves" anything, respectfully. I'm thinking LE just doesn't want to release something that they have yet to verify, or they're trying not to put their foot in their mouth (again). So if the church phone call thing is something that the FBI is unwilling to verify, doesn't it prove that they don't trust what Annie/SIL are telling them? If no church call to Annie, how did they know to check on her at 11:56?
All in all, we have SIL as the last person to see her alive supposedly dropping her off at 9:48, we have Annie the first person to check on her (for reasons unknown).... seems like the two of them are squarely involved in the entire 14 hour range when things went down....
Off-topic but there was actually an Amazon package left by the door too. I guess it was delivered after the crime scene tape went down. So sad.![]()
Yes, the plant at the door also looks like lantana. Doubt it was part of an arrangement.
It's weird that they're so close to the door and not next the the sidewalk. It would seem "juvenile" "immature" to cut a few lantana stems and pass them off as a "gift". Yet, there are people who do this with lantana. (There are little kids who pick mine) I wouldn't expect Nancy to do this. I wouldn't expect another homeowner to do this.
It's almost as if someone came to the door with these in their hand to lure someone out. MOO MOO
Thanks for your observation....

I do not see an upset relative ripping off the ring cameras- esp if they were drunk or on drugs, IMO.
This case becomes more baffling by the hour.Latest from Brian Entin....."something else in the letter"
I think something could be happening behind the scenes with this ransom situation.
Part of me hopes the ransom is true and related. However, I feel like in 2025 in the age of information it's not hard to get familiar with an area or person with a quick google search. It really makes me wonder how the letter is worded/what it includes. This case becomes more baffling by the hour.
I further cropped the pic you posted to make an observation (which likely has been brought up but there's no way I can keep up with the speed this thread is going).![]()

it is mind boggling that she didn't pay the subscription for the cameras. These were Google nest associated with ADT. I have ring cameras so maybe a little different setup, but you still have to pay some type of subscription to store the videoI am curious about who was set up w/ the alerts as well. I'm assuming it was to her phone, but it could have even been to her daughters (my elderly neighbors kids set up ring cams for their parents who have health issues and they get the alerts and can see their parents come and go etc).
If the skell removed the Ring cam physically (the Nest cams were reported to be "disabled" or destroyed) it could still be transmitting in a bag or pocket and even a shift in movement could push a "person detected". I've moved Ring battery Floodlight cams live from one spot to another and this can happen.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much sophistication on both ends; meaning NG house was a casual homeowner basic installed system (two brands, Ring and Nest, no subscription/cloud --it's $99!, no real serious effort) and the "kidnappers" seemed to be amateur hour as well.
FYI, everyone, Brian Entin has a new video (filmed yesterday after the presser). It is very good and informative
I don't really think of it about honesty or believability. Just "we have one shot to send this without too much risk of getting caught, so we have to make sure we say everything that we need to say right now" (because each additional message dramatically increases the risk that they'll slip up). And also "they have everything to lose and we have nothing to lose [not really true, of course] so it's on them if they choose to demand stuff back. We're not going to answer." I don't think it's a big stretch to imagine a perp thinking that they can only risk sending one message, and if we believe that, I think the rest makes some degree of sense.I get what you are saying. Perhaps the kidnappers thought ok, we will send a ransom letter that is professional looking, well constructed, good grammar, address ahead most upcoming questions. Their thought, trying for credibility, the kidnappers will be perceived as “ honest enough
The writer of the letter "knows something about NG" and seems to be local to Tucson. This makes me wonder if maybe they know something about her personal habits, like a certain healthcare provider she sees or a store she frequents at a certain time/day regularly, that sort of thing. Something not so easily found on Google.Latest from Brian Entin....."something else in the letter"
I think something could be happening behind the scenes with this ransom situation.
It was sent to a local Tucson news station first. Was also sent to another news station (can't remember the name). Then was sent to TMZ on Tuesday.
I think it may be more about accesibility. TMZ has an easy to use tip form and they probably monitor it all the time. I did a quick search of email NBC.. I got a lot of emails come up and it says, depending on your needs.
I have thought that they maybe were concerned the News stations didn't receive the ransom letter, because LE kept saying that there was none. TMZ posted about there copy shortly after the press briefing by the Sheriff on Tuesday.
Part of me hopes the ransom is true and related. However, I feel like in 2025 in the age of information it's not hard to get familiar with an area or person with a quick google search. It really makes me wonder how the letter is worded/what it includes.

In a real ransom scenario, if the family doesn't pay, the kidnappers usually get louderand more aggressive to show they are serious.
I was hoping so too but in a real ransom scenario, if the family doesn't pay, don't the kidnappers usually get loud and more aggressive to show they are serious? Going quiet worries me that they have abandoned their plan.Part of me hopes the ransom is true and related. Ditto, we've been waiting...Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we don't have an answer on that.
Listen to the Sheriff from yesterday's press conference. He said it was searched and towed. He said "it's routine."No one else seems to be reporting this. I watched Ashley Banfield’s video this morning, where she interviewed Brian Entin and asked whether he had seen or heard anything about the car being towed. He said he hadn’t and mentioned that, with people camped out there around the clock, you would think someone would have witnessed it.
Ring cameras subscription was a flat 99 bucks a few years ago. That includes all devices and unlimited cloud storage, PLUS it covers monitoring for their Ring alarm including Police and Fire. I think this may be a case of oversight, where the homeowner lapsed on their cc and was going to "get around to it".it is mind boggling that she didn't pay the subscription for the cameras. These were Google nest associated with ADT. I have ring cameras so maybe a little different setup, but you still have to pay some type of subscription to store the video
