Any thoughts on why the second communication didn't go to TMZ and the NBC local affiliate, it only went to KOLD?
Maybe they are becoming afraid they will be traced so are limiting who and how many they send out?

Some flood lights have cameras. Also, if her flood lights are motion detected, the perp wouldn't want them going off and on while they were smashing cameras. Yesterday when they were looking on the main roof and on the ground, I thought maybe they were looking for rocks that didn't belong there. Maybe the perp was throwing rocks to knock out a camera/flood light that was difficult to disable?
I don't think rocks did that kind of damage. It looks more like something like a wrecking bar or baseball bat. You can see on the brick where a concentrated force came in contact with it, if you ask me.

Could this have happened during the thought to be recent work sealing the roof?

From a piece of equipment being pulleyed up?
I think this is a reasonable question. I've definitely had damage along those lines done by tree crews with their ropes dangling down around the house. If there truly was recently roofing work done, it's conceivable that this kind of thing could have happened then.

Any chance she heard that smashing and came out to check? I mean I would never come out but when was that smashing of the cameras done? The camera showed signs of a person once right?

All imo
My front light got jolted from the roofers.

But why must there be a 100 posts about it? It gives TDS vibes.
We need truth, provable facts and evidence.....Preferably from people with investigative expertise....JMO

Why would NG enter her home via the garage and not the front door? This has been bothering me. The entire garage situation is bothering g me.
I’m thinking easier accessibility. The front door has a heavy metal security screen that appears to have 2 locks. Once unlocking I’m imagining a person would have to use their body to keep gate open while unlocking the actual front door. Garage door is a simple push of a button.

And do we (i.e. - You all) know if she actually ever made it into the house after being "dropped off"?

rsbm.

AFAIK there is zero independent confirmation that she ever made it back to her house. Period.

moo.

I guess I was trying to figure out why they would pick up rocks and look at them. Also on the main roof it appeared that they were looking for something on the smaller side. You could be absolutely correct. Any idea why LE would examine small rocks?

Thank you for clearing this up!
I was feeling confused thinking people were saying sister-in -law too!
This is definitely confusing -- and still somehow not even close to the most confusing part of this confounding case!

Here's the Harvey Levin interview:

He's saying the perpetrator has a connection to KOLD news station. I'm not familiar with local news in the US - is there any connection between this station and SG / Today show?

piggybacking off your comment, the note was sent to TMZ so yeah, of course he's going to go with it.
Only KOLD received the second letter. Harvey never read the most recent note himself. I take his speculations with a grain of salt but I think any further thoughts about the second note is him trying to stay relevant in the media.

Well, by entering through the garage door, NG wouldn’t have had to bring her keys with her earlier. One less thing on her person/in her purse.

Since news outlets received these emails, I can only imagine the number of “insiders” who got to know what exactly was written in them. “Office gossip” gets around quick, especially in this case. Unless they’re “sworn to secrecy”. MOO

You mean someone who knew inside details of the case, ie a journalist, could be responsible for sending the ransom note?

How hard would you have to hit this light to cause this kind of damage? What kind of size and strength level would you have to cause this damage? How high from the ground is the light?
I couldn’t throw a rock and hit that light to save my soul. Get a ladder and try to dismantle it instead.

Did NG have housekeepers and/or nurses who visited her regularly?
My elderly aunt with mobility issues who used a walker had several home health aides to help her daily or weekly.

Someone came to clean the house at least once a week.

A home health aide came and fixed lunch and prepared dinner to put in refrigerator. Home health aide did the shopping and other tasks around the house.

A nurse came as needed.
