If you care to read comments on YT videos of any media broadcasting this you will see a gazillion reasons for people's suspicions from the accepted (last to see + family member) to the way he looks, his eyes, lack of money, the lyrics he write, album name... the list goes on...

Not my personal reasoning... just what I've read and answering query.

To be honest, the way SIL looks - an Italian man with beard - and even the music he writes are not a proof of anything. Otherwise, Wilkie Collins could be nr. 1 suspect for Jack the Ripper (he even died in 1889, an interesting coincidence).

Post the same photo and write that SIL opened a shelter for homeless animals, and people would see something very different in him.

I mean, there may be tons of reasons to suspect him, but not his look or songs.

The critical question is have they gotten proof of life?

The siblings first plea made it sound like they wanted to hear from the ransomer(s) but were not willing to pay unless they got proof of life of Nancy first. Now they are saying that they got the (ransomer(s)) message and are now willing to pay.

This leads me to believe that they DID get proof of life - either that - or they never got proof of life, may fear she is dead, but are willing to pay the ransomer to get their mother back in any condition.

I do not believe they ever received proof of life because (a) it wasn't possible; and (b) kidnap for ransom may not even be legit.

The last plea from the 3 siblings clearly shows they know their dear mum is not alive.

Going backwards a bit because I have just been lurking here and not posting, the weirdest thing to me from the beginning of this, as just a person with a close family and older grandparents around Nancy's age, is that she was brought back to the house, apparently, at almost 10pm (after arriving over four hours earlier at 5:30ish). I KNOW people have different schedules, etc. but MOST people that age are in their home, if not in bed, by that time. It's just a biological thing for most older people. [Edit for details: They like to get into their Pjs, wash up, take out dentures ha, and sit in front of the Tv for a bit to wind down before going to bed].

We have my grandparents over for dinner often and it's usually a 5:30pm ish pickup, with a 7-8pm at the LATEST return home, we go in and make sure the temperature in the home is good if it's winter, that the lights are on, etc. No we don't have to do that/they would be fine on their own, but I think most people can attest to similar with older relatives, especially if they're not the best on their feet. Late at night they are usually tired.

So that stood out to me from the JUMP as a detail for a casual (four hour) family dinner down the road. The late return from dinner at the sister's... If she was dropped off at almost 10pm for most people that's not bed until 10:30. Which again is pretty late for an older person especially if she goes to church in the morning.

The only person I knew that went to bed early was my mom. My dad was usually 11:30 or so (He was 87 when he died) My grandmother was usually 11 pm. But there was no internet to keep her entertained and she died at age 89 in 1992. I think she would watch the news, then get bored and read, then go to bed. ETA She didn't speak English, so Johnny Carson was not really an option, but the news was visual enough for her.

This reminds me. I wonder what became of the tip that lady had, (who was looking for LE among the reporters)....something she found along the road during her walk she thought might be important.

I think she was the neighbor who observed the camera on the roof. Apparently, LE hadn’t noticed it. LE removed it. I think she also told LE that the roof had been recently paved or fixed.

That's interesting. I watched the livestream and was surprised people could stand at the end of the (short) driveway to watch. I heard they blocked off the whole area of the road before so people couldn't get that close, and wonder why they didn't do that now. Seeing photo flashes, items being carried out, latex gloves on... it raises suspicion.

If this is what it looks like, SG's life is ruined. I don't know how she could ever recover from the horror and betrayal. I'm so sorry.

I have thought the same thing about Nancy. She’s 84. If she did survive this, what would the rest of her life look like for her and for her children? It would just be the most bizarre ending to their lives- even if they all try to return to normal. There can be no more normal after this, regardless of the outcome. So very sad. For all of them.

I'm not sure if I"m allowed to post this but TC doesn't look native Italian from me (I have a big Italian family). He looks moreso eastern European or even middle eastern. Not to say he couldn't be an Italian citizen, I just wonder if there's more to his background/immigration story.

His background was posted early on, when some were curious about AG and her spouse. We didn't know much about them and their social media was still open.

My parents (around 84) are often out after 10. They go to parties, weddings, balls, Broadway plays, swim meets or even some baseball games- all which keep them out after 10. My mom was at a Mardi Gras parade tonight and didn't get back until after 10. They are in their 80s, not on their death beds! They would probably be offended by everyone saying it's weird for 80 year olds to stay out until 945 for dinner and games I will ask my mom tomorrow.

You're not wrong and I wasted a lot of my time lambasting twits in the bloomin' comments sections for some of their ridiculous comments!

But the person to whom I responded asked the question about suspicion (I can't recall exact words) and I listed a handful of the reasons I'd seen ignorant people post.

The Apple Watch evidence fascinates me. I wear my watch while I'm sleeping to track overnight vitals. From the photos we have seen of NG, she wears her Apple Watch daily. She wore it on set of SG's show taping. I don't think she took it off before bed herself. The perp(s) likely removed it right away then put it back on her charger so that she couldn't press SOS for help or record vital changes.

We don't know what other apps AG had downloaded, and I bet she did have the phone capabilities on her watch so that she could call for help if she fell for example and wasn't near her phone. I believe there's fall detection alerts as well.

If someone else were to wear the watch, it wouldn't detect the new user per say, but the vital stats would fluctuate from NG's normal patterns.

My mother always wanted to get home before dark. She always said - and I quote "let's get home before the drunks and crazies come out" (that was her trademark saying) but what she really meant was "dad's eyesight is bad and I don't want him driving after dark."

My husband and I come home after dark from running errands, but we are almost always home by 8:00 p.m.
