AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Just a warning that AI isn’t entirely accurate. It was giving me funky results on the Guthrie case, so I had to go do the research myself.

True story: I was asking ChatGPT about the date of death for Rob and Michelle Reiner - on January 9th - and it told me that they were very much alive! I have screenshots. Despite the deluge of news stories about their untimely murders, AI was telling me they were alive.
I understand, but it's ok for a collation of various news articles. I did find one AI that said that "There was no evidence to say t was locked" However, when looking at the 4 articles suggested, they do not mention the door and looking through 6 pages, nothing is mentioned. Do you have any? I wonder if it's my search engine. I can't access the DM as its behind a pay wall, and I'd rather not pay money to that particular tabloid. Many thanks.

Newsnation saying that Savannah and siblings were at Annie's house but now they aren't there due to all the media prescense.
Seems to be more than just media presence at this point. 👀

I'd never expect them to be there once LE started checking it out as part of possible crime scene. ALSO, I bet they were told to find another place to stay for their own security and privacy. IMO

I don't think SG has ever been staying at AG's house, other than to film the first IG video. She is far too high-profile and likely has her own security team and staying in a discreet location.

I can pull up limited data in the app. It shows the date/time of past interrogations. Mine are usually around 1:30 am or thereabouts. If the interrogation is successful I can see if my pacemaker recorded any anomalies or concerning events.

If Ms Guthrie's pacemaker sent a data pack the previous night at 2 am the only thing you'd see in the app is a successful transmission the previous night and a disconnected/failure on the night in question. There is no data in between.
So bottom line supposition-the interrogation failed, as Nancy was out of range. We have no proof of her prior whereabouts other than what was told to law enforcement. We know details of when garage door opened and closed, and two times that events occurred regarding cameras. No footage that we know of. Right?

I have not heard about loud clanking. Was it at the daughter Annie's house? May of been metal ladder or taking apart some metal parts built into the room. I think it was supposed to be the garage that the bright sweeping lights were seen. IMO

Speaking of the flashing light in the garage, I think daily mail is an approved source here, and I notice in their article posted last night it said this:
“Brian Entin shared footage from the scene showing camera flashes in a number of rooms throughout Annie's home, including two bedrooms and a large family room.”

how can the family be staying in this house with all this stuff going on.
I feel they must be somewhere else.....
It was mentioned no one has been staying in that home since Day #3. They are all in separate locations now.

To my knowledge, law enforcement has not stated, explicitly or implicitly, that a crime occurred or could have occurred in or around AG's home. There has been no securing of the scene, no crime tape, and no direct statements or innuendo that suggests that a crime has or may have occurred in or around that home, or by one or more of its inhabitants. They have, however, explicitly stated on multiple occasions that a crime occurred at NG's home in the early morning hours early last week, and after she returned from a visit with AG and family. The sheriff, early on and perhaps ill-advisedly, strongly suggested that she was taken directly from her bed (or home) at that time, and - even though he and his agency appear to now be peripheral to the more active investigation - he, nor anyone else at any other involved agency, has not walked that back.

Three unmarked, unsecured vehicles at an unsecured home doing something last night does not change these facts.

JMO.

Just a word of caution about the DailyMail. I am in the UK where this publication is based and it is one of the most tabloidy newspapers we have. Often very sensationalist, gossipy, low on fact-checking, and frequently sued!

I have to hope that they're staying somewhere much more private and it's not being disclosed. I was trying to think of what I would do if I was SG. I came to two/three real options - a large suite at a hotel, or the home of someone trusted. I'm talking lifelong best friend or maybe someone who has a second home that's not being used. I imagine her own security team, which it seems like she had even before this incident, would also be with her. Perhaps some additional security from NBC, some lawyers... I would want a lot of space that I was in control of.

I can't imagine how unsettling and life-altering this is for SG and the family. It shakes their whole foundation. Who can you trust? What's the point?

In between these times, if the phone loses Bluetooth connection with the pacemaker, is that reported in the app? For example, if you have left the phone more than a few metres away? Or had to disable Bluetooth?

I’m asking because low-energy Bluetooth connections are usually maintained between devices, even when there’s no data being sent. It would be interesting to know whether the app recorded disconnections, even when it wasn’t attempting a scheduled data transmission.

(Not suggesting you try this! Just asking about past experience.)

There could easily be an accomplice outside of the family.
In the possibility that the SIL is involved, I’ve never thought he’s connected to the ransom notes. Only scenario I see would be he is responsible for Nancy’s disappearance, and the ransom people are just trying to profit from the situation, but never had Nancy. If the ransom note senders have given LE absolute proof that they have Nancy or had Nancy, then I think SIL has no involvement. I do have another working theory, but will put that in a separate post. This is an absolutely craxy case.

@MassGuy,

What is the general timeframe for potential evidence obtained from AG’s home last night to be processed and results returned? TIA
