I am kind of stunned so many obvious hiding spots have gone unchecked for this long, what the heck? They are just NOW checking this?
We talked about the septic tank days ago!

If this is not the first time LE is searching manholes located around NG's home, color me appalled.
Maybe before this they were convinced she was being held alive by kidnappers for ransom? Seems gullible.

In hindsight the FBI should have been the lead since day one. Sheesh.

They would not I'd assume. So it is that a real churchgoer friend called her daughter's house to ask if ok, or it is a ruse from the daughter's house to 'get the ball rolling'. I lean towards that NOW, but def cannot be for sure as no one can till the calls are confirmed as legit or no call from any friends at 'that time' that they interview. IMO
Agreed. I’m beginning to think the church call became unverifiable at some point and that’s why it was removed from timeline? A call to AG that her mom wasn’t at service can work 2 ways as to why AG would drive to NG’s house for a well check at 11:56am. 1) Maybe NG did occasionally attend church (only Daily Mail is reporting she didn’t) and checking on mom’s whereabouts would be natural, especially if NG also wasn’t answering her phone. 2) A church call related to NG not attending could appear suspicious to AG if she knew her mom no longer attended in person….again this would precipitate the need of a well check. Without the church call why would AG go check on her mom at 11:56? IMO

This is from Savannah’s book. Posted on another page I follow. It’s about her sister.

Can any people familiar with plumbing or house construction determine if this is related to them searching in the tanks today?

Residential septic pump truck have a much much bigger tank and set up (would be the entire size of flatbed).

That poly tank looks like a water tank.

The property is surrounded by LE. Surrounded might be too strong a word. There are several LE at the property.

i just assumed they meant they would celebrate her return! would that be an odd thing to say? (i’m not a native english speaker)
I understand if English, or this term “ celebrate” is not familiar to you.
MOO, it refers to celebration of life, a funeral or memorial.

The handling of this case is wild.

I don't think they'd be probing a septic tank on her property if they believed kidnappers had absconded with Ms Guthrie.

My opinion only.

From what little I did see... it was almost like they were looking at an area just outside her yard or outside her backyard, almost like they were looking to see where someone could hide, vantage points if that makes sense?

There does not seem to be any urgency at all and still only 2 in the backyard. Looks like they have a few more deputies out on the street with the media.

On tv, they have this teeny tiny box with the live feed when they are covering other news.

this is me:

JMO and I have no idea what they are actually doing.

Son in law. AG's husband. This thought came about way back and LE has been all over their house at different times, so. Something is up/has been past couple of days at the least. IMO
The son-in-law only came up here due to Ashleigh Banfield saying her LE "source" told her this. Otherwise, he wouldn't be getting this level of (IMO) unfair scrutiny.

Interesting. The septic tank at my house has manhole sized cap. It's identical to the one in the screenshots shared a bit ago here. It does definitely seem dangerous. In fact, some neighbors had a gardener working at their house last year and the gardener stepped on the septic tank cap which was cracked and fell in. Not fully, but caught himself at the cap so the bottom half of his body was in the tank. He was quickly pulled out by the other gardener, luckily.

dog could have barked during the kidnapping (or whatever it was) but. would anyone hear it out there with coyotes howling?
There was a dog barking?

Ms Guthrie's son-in-law. Daughter's husband.
:p Oh my. I myself have written this in posts here. Really, I absolutely must've had a temporary shut down of my brain to not have realized that. Thank you.

Oh. They could have pumped out septic tank to see if anything was flushed recently that might be identifiable? Maybe a bottle of pills, or lots of blood rinsed down a tub drain??

Yep, my theory too, staged. NG may have never made it home from AG's.
Personally, I don’t believe there was a *staged* kidnapping at the house. There was either a kidnapping, or there wasn’t. As far as the ring doorbell subscription, I’m not sure why everyone assumes family would know that. I have a ring with no subscription. My mom does not know that. She likely has cameras in her retirement community building, but it’s not something I’ve ever given much thought to. I think many people who don’t actually own a ring camera, have no idea that that a recording history is not available without a subscription.

It hasn’t even been said that there IS a warrant.
Warrants are needed unless AG/TC gave their permission?
Don't know because I never experienced a S & S.

People instinctively suspect whoever was:
last to see the person, physically nearby, or involved in routine logistics (rides, visits, caregiving)
That doesn’t mean wrongdoing, it just means access. The public often confuses access with guilt.
I think it highly irresponsible of AB to say what she said about SIL. Rumors are especially dangerous here. Once a name starts circulating confirmation bias kicks in, normal behavior gets reinterpreted, grief responses get judged as guilt or indifference.
That can permanently damage lives, even when police never suspected the person at all.
The phrase “last known person to see her” is incredibly misleading. That’s just a timeline anchor. It is not an accusation. Police treat it as neutral data.
The public treats it like a smoking gun. I believe that’s a mistake.
Investigations don’t follow public logic.
They follow evidence, and evidence unfolds slowly. What’s loud right now is speculation. What’s quiet is the real work.
The public’s understanding of what’s happening behind the scenes is not their operational priority. I do think LEO and FBI and the family know and have known much more than what’s being disclosed. There’s a reason for that. The public knows what they want us to know. Prayers for Nancy and family. MOO
Welcome to WS, @cherryleaf!

I agree with you.
