I wonder where the cameras are on the adjacent streets to NG house
Of course they’re scared and want to keep private. This case is different than probably any I’ve ever followed. It has received national (international even) attention and involves a kidnapping for ransom. Why would anyone purposely publicly insert themselves into the case?I wonder if they are scared?? For their own safety!
And too much scrutiny. I think they make more money running drugs and extorting other drug lords.Abducting a person they knew would get heavy media coverage.

There’s also a benefit to online service and online chat for anyone hard of hearing. I saw mention of a hearing aid earlier today, but not sure if it’s been confirmed. JmoI did state it was just my opinion.
My elderly father was very proud of ability to learn his away around the internet, and embraced texting and emailing friends and family.
NG was said to be sharp as a tack, so I didn’t want to underestimate her ability to use the chat feature during church service.

For the free advertising: guaranteed 24/7 media coverage. Why would the cartels want anything to do with an old lady? Plus there's zero evidence cartels were involved.
I have seen a few discuss it many many pages back, it was interesting being so close to Mexico. I still think it is SIL, hope I am wrong.Nobody seems willing to go there, but this has the earmarks of a cartel extortion written all over it. Well researched. Somewhat sloppy execution, and all the leverage.

Even negative attention is still attention. And too much scrutiny. I think they make more money running drugs and extorting other drug lords.
Sends a message. Don't mess with us, or else.????????
What good does that do them?
The two are not mutually exclusive.I have seen a few discuss it many many pages back, it was interesting being so close to Mexico. I still think it is SIL, hope I am wrong.
Well, it's not sending a message.Sends a message. Don't mess with us, or else.
What is your theory? This has nothing to do with Mexico.
Are you saying this was done by the cartels?? I've seen no evidence for that. From what I've heard, cartels are generally much more businesslike about kidnappings. They aren't interested in sending a message, but rather in making money. The church, the family. All distractions. They reached 100 miles into the US and sent a message.
Not yet.Well, it's not sending a message.
