The blood found on the walkway and front porch of Nancy Guthrie's home was processed for DNA.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the following details regarding the forensic analysis:

• DNA Match: A rushed DNA analysis confirmed that the blood found at the scene matched Nancy Guthrie.
• Suspect Information: As of February 2026, the DNA testing from the blood and other evidence at the home has produced no hits indicating a suspect or any third party

If NG was abducted, there had to be a vehicle involved. No vehicle confirmed yet. Seems weird there is no evidence of vehicle or a third party inside the home.

I know it’s been mentioned the SIL went to a bar after dropping N off at her house. Where is the bar located? How long was he there? Did he meet anyone? Was he drinking (no judgement, just thinking it might escalate anger/boldness). When did he arrive home? Hopefully the bar, DOT and neighborhood cameras will show something. LE is awfully quiet and no longer asking for help/tips from the public, makes me think an arrest will happen in the next few days.

Yes the apple watch, keys and wallet were shown on a nightstand. If i remember correctly the front door was left unlocked and the back door was left wide open

Yes they most certainly got warrants. Especially when they went back and did follow up searches and removed evidence.

It would be common for and to be honest expected for the victims family to give consent, but that wouldn't make investigators feel the need not to get a warrant especially when they were seen removing evidence.

Both things are likely true, family gave consent and investigators still procured and issued warrants.

Things like Cellebrite extractions of phones, vehicles impounded, blood evidence, and many other things. They would definitely want a warrant for these things as they would want them down the road in a possible prosecution in a court of law.

Yes LE is going to dot all the i's and cross all the t's before they do a formal search, investigation and remove objects. Get consent and warrant. Otherwise there is a chance the evidence could not be allowed to be presented to the jury.

Iv thought they had changed the timeline regarding the church lady calling If the church mass that she attends whether in person or online is at 10:45 then that churchgoer would not realize Nancy was missing until after church was over I highly doubt she jumped on the phone with the family as soon as she noticed she wasn't there after 15 minutes.

Regarding the blood: Maybe NG's arm was brushed against hard or she banged it / scraped it against the door. In the older population, skin tears are so common and can bleed quite a bit, while are just minor abrasions. Could some of the blood be from that?

So if NG opened both the front door and the metal gate door, she must have known the person who rang the door bell or felt safe with them. Felt no threat?

That would be my conclusion. We do not, as a habit, open the storm door (a concept that I was unfamiliar with in my earlier years) unless we are inviting the person into the house, and this happens only with very few people.

American homes, especially in the past 30 years, tend to have windows on each side; to my mind, this negates the purpose of the storm door, especially since the latch tends to be close to one of those glass panes. I believe the façade of NG's house was brick (faux brick?) so the gate (if I am correct it has metal mesh on it, making it more substantial) would be opened to let someone she knows into the house.

Just thoughts and opinions of mine. I am not an expert or privy to any other information.

So one question I've been pondering - about where the information came from that the family spent an hour searching before calling 911- is The Sheriff himself.

Ie he could also be the inaccurate source of the 'church' phonecall. Not saying he is, just that it's possible.

So much appears to have happened with the investigation over the weekend, where do you think we stand?

1) As far as Annie Guthrie's car that's reportedly impounded, would they be looking for blood and download data from the on-board computer showing any movement during the early Sunday morning time frame of the crime?

2) Nancy Guthrie's Subaru impounded to see if someone was hiding in the car while the garage was opened? Maybe looking for touch DNA on handles foreign to the family?

3) Guessing that the septic tank check was just a precaution since no proof of life for Nancy and no body found elsewhere?

4) Finding the camera on top of roof was bizarre. Again, there was probably no subscription service so even though camera found and not smashed this time, data written over top of the time period in question probably makes it useless.

Anything else significant I missed? probably so

That has been debunked. Of course I don't have a link, but it's been shown the gap between the family going to check on NG and calling 911 was closer to 5 minutes. JMO

If someone has NG, would they really kill her, or when they realize there will be no money, would they just let her go? Letting her go is a risk because she can identify places and people.

Hope this isn't the case, but maybe they signaled cadaver and there's no need for them to be brought back? The opposite possibility is they didn't pick up anything.

I'm a K9 handler - tracking dogs (the ones that track humans movements) are not typically also trained as cadaver dogs. I am *not* saying there are not K9s who do both, but typically they are trained very specifically for exact jobs (tracking, HRD, narcotics, patrol/take down, bomb). OT a bit but my K9 is a bloodhound who will track you down for miles, even through water. Our team also had a bloodhound who WAS also trained as an HRD (Human Remans Detection) dog & was able to locate a body completely underwater. Scent is fascinating.

THAT SAID, it's possible those initial K9s were tracking dogs and I know when my K9 loses the scent on the ground she will do "air scenting" and initiate a "proximity alert" indicating she can still pick up the scent but there's not a clear track to follow anymore on foot. This can happen when someone is put into a vehicle or perhaps removed from the ground in another fashion (picked up/carried/etc)

In a desert setting - scent is difficult because of the wide open space. Wind carries scent and in flat open spaces there's nowhere for the scent to "pool" and the wind can blow the sand. It's just difficult to do, but in areas that still have houses, landscaping, etc. K9s can be extremely helpful.

Trying out this theory: NG arrives home and gets notification of a delivery. Yes, I know it's late but it's also around her birthday so maybe it seemed plausible to her. She opens the front door to retreive what she thinks is a gift/flowers, and is hit on the head.

Probably not likely but I'm trying to make sense of the front stoop scene.

Also, it might be the bleeding is more profuse due to medication she takes. I am just offering my opinion here based on past experience with elderly relatives and, more recently, with my husband: he nicked his finger while doing dishes and it looked like a crime scene. When we washed his hand, it was the slightest of cuts...I sent him to the doctor to follow-up; he needed a supplement to help with that.

It happens, but I am sure the CSI would have identified the age of the blood stains (and who wouldn't clean it up ASAP?) and possibly if it was due to a puncture or a slower bleed.

The vast majority of women in the house on their own are cautious about opening their door after dark,unless expecting someone /a delivery. In the middle of the night it must have been something exceptional to make her unlock her door ,especially in her night wear unless it was someone she knew or an emergency . I have wondered if it was someone impersonating a police officer.
