My point is no criminal is going to knock on the front door in the middle of the night and expect an answer. LOL

Just thinking if she was up (bathroom), heard a noise a the door she may have opened it. I am around her age. I have done just that 1) calling my bad male cat who often comes at 2:00am and 2) I feed possums, raccoons, occasional coyote. May need a refill at 2:00am. This is real. Two doors. Open one. Look out. Go outside. No security cameras. Neighbors are close. Are all armed to the hilt - gun collector, NRA person, and former cop. Yes. Over-confident. Don't need a lecture. Yes. I am educated. Just giving a true story and a possible scenario.

The Church call should be looked into. Unless NG never missed a day and had a dear friend at Church who would immediately notice she didn’there is t come and called her back, and?after she didn’t pick up, panicked and called AG. Possible but pretty far-fetched. What was the outcome of that call? They discovered that NG was gone without much delay. I can’t imagine that would have benefited a random stranger. But it gave AG and SIL valid reason to enter the premises, potentially before any household help showed up at NG’s. So either the call was genuine or it is related to AG/SIL. MOO

I wonder if they had called NG before driving over, and if there is a record of a call or not? Seems likely you would call to confirm, or at least a text mesage mom to see what's up.

I have a question which may have been discussed here already. You all know how it is with such a fast moving thread… is the ransom supposed to be paid today? SG said “We will pay.” I don’t know if to assume that meant on time, or early even. If they came to that decision, I was thinking they’d pay sooner in order to their mom back (hopefully) earlier the better. Or was it a message that we are working on it and will pay. Be patient with us and our mother.

"We will pay" - So, is there PROOF OF LIFE??? I'm sure they have been told many times to not pay UNLESS there is iron-clad proof their mom is alive.

Like asking a question that Nancy, and only Nancy, would know.... That would be very difficult to get the questions to the alleged kidnapper without Annie and her husband (for example) seeing and participating in with coming up with the questions. Savannah has an solid alibi. The others probably don't.

If you don't trust AG or her husband, maybe ask some questions off the wall that only Savannah would know... like, "Mom, the last time I was alone with you in your house, I accidentally broke something of yours, what was it?" or "What did I tell you funny about my co-anchor on TV the last time we talked alone?"

John Tittle, the pastor at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, led a prayer early in the service as he said the congregation continued to stand with the Guthrie family.

“We are seeking to just honor the family’s privacy and their desires,” Tittle said. “It was communicated to me, ‘pray.’ We’re going to keep praying through this horrific ordeal.”

The prayer asked for God to protect the 84-year-old matriarch and allow her to feel their love, as well as asking to “guide the authorities in their search for Nancy.” Tittle also asked to soften the hearts of “those who are responsible” so they may do what is “humane and right.”

All this talk about NG not physically attending church since COVID when in the very first presser the sheriff told us her church friend noticed her missing at service.

I wish someone would clear up WHO called family? Was it a church friend who physically saw her most Sundays? Did the church friend have AG's phone number or have to seek it out? WHY is there now no mention in subsequent pressers of this call from church friend and why is the time of that call not in the official timeline?

Regarding the blood: Maybe NG's arm was brushed against hard or she banged it / scraped it against the door. In the older population, skin tears are so common and can bleed quite a bit, while are just minor abrasions. Could some of the blood be from that?

I agree they appear to be passive blood drops as she stood at the front door area bleeding. There is what appears to me to be a projected/impact spatter to the right of the mat - meaning a force coming in to contact with an already actively bleeding source. Although, it is possible that it could be aspirated blood from a couch or sneeze while actively bleeding. Hopefully LE tested that area to determine if there was air/mucus mixed in with the blood. Poor Nancy.

Yesterday on her podcast, The Nerve, Maureen Callahan was discussing Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance with Ashleigh Banfield.

Maureen said she read that the blood drops on the porch had been tested and the blood came from Nancy. Also that there was sputum mixed with it, that suggested it had come from her mouth or nose (as opposed to a cut on her arm, say).

No, I don't think anyone knocked. I get package notifications without the delivery person ever knocking. At least where I live, deliveries are left at the door and I get a photo of the package. Then I open the door.

It's just an idea to make sense of the blood in that spot.

My theory is the blood drops aren't from that night, and the perps entered via the garage or other door entrance through keypad. I've thought all along it was someone who was linked to NG via contract work such as housecleaner, handyman, etc.

Somebody upthread posted a link to a ex-FBI or LE person with expertise with blood and sputum, and that person spoke confidently about some of the blood being sputum. There was a discussion last night on this forum with the link, too.

Another poster posted recently that there is somewhere on this website where we can put a word or words such as "Sputum" and look at posts mentioning that word.

There's a magnifying glass that is the usual search icon we see on other websites and it's on the top far right. I typed in "sputum" and that I would like to search for it on this website and all of the times that "sputum" is mentioned in NG's thread is then shown for us to read. Very helpful feature.

If we all used it when we have specific questions of whether something has been discussed such as posters' explanations of how pacemakers work, we could cut down on the multiple post that many of us make in trying to better understand what was previously said. While most of you probably knew how to do this, I was glad to use it and it was quite helpful for me and may be helpful for many of us.

Either AG is lying about somebody calling from church, which could be verified in a matter of minutes, or there's something fishy about the church caller.

Purportedly, they called at 11 which would mean NG was expected at the earlier service. The second morning service started at 11 I think. Why would somebody from church lie?

How do you call a family member and say, "Your mom wasn't on the Zoom call for the service this morning"? That just seems odd to me. It's not as if it were a board meeting and she was the CEO of the company.

Trying out this theory: NG arrives home and gets notification of a delivery. Yes, I know it's late but it's also around her birthday so maybe it seemed plausible to her. She opens the front door to retreive what she thinks is a gift/flowers, and is hit on the head.

Probably not likely but I'm trying to make sense of the front stoop scene.

I think it's telling that there were no statements directly toward their mother in the newest video. I know it's all carefully scripted, but the lack of messages of love and support really stood out to me, as if they already know she's no longer able to hear anything.

This is a really good point. The previous family video spoke directly to Nancy. This one spoke only to the supposed abductor, about Nancy, not to her, which does seem significant.

They are stretching out when the ransom payment will be paid( maybe never). LE believe NG is no longer alive, no rush to pay, and ransom may be a scam.
Looking for NG body in septic tank. Other nearby hiding spots( grid search)

Have they changed the deadline? The last I read it was still at 5pm today.

Yes the apple watch, keys and wallet were shown on a nightstand. If i remember correctly the front door was left unlocked and the back door was left wide open

Shown or found? I don’t remember seeing any pictures of the crime scene. Can you share the link for that?

Regarding the blood, if I remember correctly, it has never been stated that the blood drops/splatter happened that night. She easily could have gotten a bloody nose earlier in the day, like when checking for the mail or waiting for the Uber (which that could be verified). Also, keep in mind, a bloody nose could look like a massacre just happened or it can just happened.
