Harvey Levin of TMZ reporting on CNN no bitcoin deposit made. Speculates may be a second account that’s more anonymous. Not wise for it to be public if ransom was in fact paid.

Honestly, good. No donation being made to a crime network that likely never had or ever came in contact with NG. Ever. IMO

The FBI is a federal agency who handles FEDERAL CRIMES. Kidnapping is a federal crime. The FBI was brought in because this had the possibility of being a kidnapping and is being investigated as that.
I've followed dozens and dozens of cases with no Federal nexus, where the FBI is involved early on.

None of them were kidnapping cases, and none of them ever wound up being prosecuted by the Feds. All a law enforcement agency has to do is ask, and they will provide assistance. It happens all the time.

The doorbell camera was a Nest, not a Ring. This is confirmed by looking at the photos of the bracket (available earlier in this thread). Sorry to keep harping on this but it does make a difference in terms of cloud storage and motion detection (and just in general it's good to try to keep facts straight in a confusing environment).
Could you please provide a source from the investigation that clearly states the doorbell camera was a Nest? I am having difficulty finding that.

I hate using the "p" word in these times we r living in but maybe it's
political...
I feel so far that political is the only thing it genuinely can't be. Groups or people that do this kind of thing for political reasons want people to know while the media are still interested.

So far no mention has been made of either ransom communication being political in nature.

Megyn Kelly is reading from the paywalled Daily Mail article in the clip below, and she mentions this, from the article: NG was due to meet a group of friends to watch the church service online together. She says that the alarm was raised when NG didn’t join them. It’s not clear to me whether this was an online gathering or not but it helps explain the part that some people have been questioning, if true.

In this segment, MK reads from The Daily Mail which says SIL is also staying at the "hideaway" house with SG and both siblings.

Anyone think we'll get confirmation that the family paid?
I seriously doubt it...or atleast I dont think it will come out now. Eventually? Maybe. But not for awhile.

They were brought in for multiple reasons. Their resources in digital forensics, cyber security etc is being utilised to the fullest in this case.

I just read tonight about a murder victim's body transported in a similar way. The body was only discovered when a woman told officers investigating a tip that she had seen people pushing a wheeled trash can behind an abandoned building at night. This victim was hidden only a block away from where he was killed but it prevented his recovery for weeks.

Interesting idea. The topography in NG's neighborhood makes putting a body in something with wheels and pushing it a long distance to a disposal site feasible without risk of being seen or recorded. The roads are well paved. There's little through traffic in the neighborhood. Late at night, it's unlikely a vehicle would come along. If one did, the headlights would be visible from a long way. The plants and dark-sky lighting shield activity on the road from security cameras or any night owls in the neighborhood. A murderer could get the victim's body well beyond the immediate area of the victim's house and place the body in a remote area. Then wheel the container someplace else along your route to a main road. Continue on the road to a main road by foot or cross-country.
Great points! They would have had hours to do this. Does anyone know when or how rubbish removal is in NG’s neighborhood?Maybe the way she left the residence was in something. Wasn’t there blood and a random t-shirt or something found a little further than the porch area?

This is crazy but I think they're just going to release her somewhere!! Praying so!!

I think this may have been an Extortion that accidentally turned into a Kidnapping! Went there to extort her, she ID'd them, so they nabbed her. Their original intention wasn't a ransomed threat to kill her...

Brian's coverage from yesterday.

Latest on the Nancy Guthrie investigation — including my talk with a recently retired Pima County homicide detective who has eye opening insight into the case and issues at the sheriff’s office.

The FBI is not aware of any continued communication between the Guthrie family and suspected kidnappers, nor have we identified a suspect or person of interest in this case at this time

@FBI

Harvey Levin TMZ not aware of any bitcoin deposit made.
SG new plea shift to public.
Pima County Police says they're exploring new leads.

And in this case, the FBI volunteered their services. It’s almost standard business to have the FBI involved in a murder case. Their capabilities far exceed most local LE. IMO

I hope there is some resolution. I hope Nancy is found, I hope someone is charged, and I hope the family does not remain in limbo for a long period of time. I see that the FBI spoke specifically about the kidnaping/ransom aspect-if they do not believe that occurred, are they out? Is there some other department that can continue to investigate? Does the state or county have investigative teams that could assist the local Sheriff?

Has anyone asked in the online gaming community, what they might know? Sounds like an out there idea, but you'd be surprised how often they know stuff, from around the world, and it hits the regular news days, weeks later... Also, a vast majority of them are into and understand crypto, bitcoin and, well, shall we say "methods" on anonymity, encryption, etc. fwiw, a lot of the world's intelligence communities recruit from there, identifying bright youth and helping develop them for later potential. MOO.

The Daily Mail has decided to semi-expose where Savannah and her siblings are allegedly staying. It's a $1.2 million mansion in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson. It sits in an exclusive gated neighborhood with a guardhouse. They have been there for several days.

Behind a paywall, but those are the pertinent details.

There are so many gated communities in Tucson--with and without guardhouses--and with homes that are very, very expensive. Many older women living on their own in these homes that they once shared with their husbands. From the beginning of this case, I've been wondering "Why NG?".

Possibly she was targeted because of SG's wealth and how easy it is to get into NG's neighborhood without detection because of the distance between homes and the distance the homes are from the road.

I’ve never believed that any of the family is involved, and I’m angry of the posts that slandered people are written. Honestly, this is not a game of clue but of real life gut wrenching reality. Websluthers would bounce ideas of how to help solve, instead of this social media free for all of opinions and bashing.

Doubtful anyone comes here to read and/or comment because they think these cases are like a game of clue ?
We are discussing any and every possibility which might shed some light on the methods of the perp and which could lead to a break in Nancy's case.
WS is not like you have described it, a social media free for all, but is helmed by hard working people who help keep it factual and within the guidelines.
No one has been bashing, not sure where you're seeing that ?

Rather we're discussing within the guidelines about how this frail and elderly woman was possibly taken from her own bed and home.
There are multitudes of members here, who have contributed greatly to our understanding of the cases and the methods used by law enforcement for solving them.
That same law enforcement have cleared no one and as such it's permitted to discuss possibilities.

These cases and others are never a 'clue game' for most-- if not all -- of us .
Some of them painfully linger long after the perps are sentenced, like this older case from about 2018 in the Daily Mail which still hurts as justice was not as harsh as (imo) should've been ?

We can speculate about the sister AG and brother in law, TC, using their initials only.
All questions seem to lead to a closer circle around Nancy than a random perp.
Still many unanswered questions.

IF LE say the family is cleared that's great and the focus can be on possible employees or someone known to Nancy or the family in general.
The perp had inner knowledge of the cameras and took time to remove some or at least the SD cards in others.
They had more knowledge than a random burglar, imo.

At the end of the say, all we want to do is to solve this case and if Nancy is alive, to get her back home, and I'm sure you would agree ?
The rest can be worked out later.
Omo.
