Yes, if seniors and elderly live alone, they often have buddy groups who check in with them every day. Our city has a program for seniors or elderly people who live alone and want to be on a list for a daily check-in call if they have no other people checking on them. It's a program provided with funds from the state of Ohio. But lots of people have relatives, church buddies, neighbors, or others to check in with them.I know an elderly woman who's 87 and she and friends call each other each morning to let the others know they're still alive, so you never know.
