Good to hear they are looking at others who had access to Nancy’s property.

normally by now in a story like this you would be seeing people talking that knew NG and the family relationships. People come out of the woodwork. Relatives. This is a. very small family....no extended family left in Tucson? No one speaking up saying NG and her SIL had a great relationship? I assume interviews are happening but this is the quietest investigation I have seen. How about friends or teaching colleagues of TC...anyone heard anything? After a week this is odd.

Zach Lind, drummer for the band Jimmy Eat World, whose wife is Nancy’s niece, said on X, “Annie and Tommy are amazing people, dedicated parents who also love and care for Nancy on a daily basis.”

How would she know if her mother was watching the services on live stream?
What is the point of attending the same service without communication? Wouldn't you Facetime beforehand a, "Good morning! It's so nice to see you! I'm happy you're joining me for service!" Or a quick check-in afterwards?

She was due to fly on the Monday; she was called on the Sunday and flew to Tucson later that day.
i see no relationship between SG and her coverage of Olympics and what happened in Tucson. In fact if someone were trying to make a statement it would have been much more headline worthy if SG were in Italy and had to fly back leaving NBC to scramble.

This is not intended to be a political statement, but jmo.

I feel the relative restraint of DJT could be a clue that this is known to be someone close to NG.

If we look at DJT's pattern of interventions and social media posts, we might have expected more unfiltered commentary and speculation (e.g. could it be cartels, border risks, justifying ICE). We haven't seen any of that whatsoever; just a slightly overly optimistic comment about resolving the case. He has been if anything, pretty restrained, which I view as atypical and unusual for him.

Again, absolutely not a political statement criticizing or endorsing a particular party (I am not US based), but I feel it is a clue.

Completely agree. He is usually very boisterous and accusatory.. but not in this case. IMO, he actually acted more like a President in this case showing great restraint.

I am thinking he is being briefed that they think they know who it is LOCALLY and are gathering evidence.... and that the ransom note is a cover up or unrelated money grab.

Yes, the garage door opening for 2 min is also a question mark as you point out. The other thing is that NG had been out for awhile, had dinner with family, allegedly played game/s and I bet she was tired and ready to go to sleep as she was 84 years old.

Given the mobility issues of NG, I'm not sure she could make it from a car parked in the driveway and in through then garage entrance in 2 min.? It seems like it would be an able bodied person that would enter/exit the house via the garage and so I wonder if the 2 min garage door open/close was someone exiting the house to the driveway and not NG entering the house and returning from AG house.

Somehow I just cannot shake the idea that NG might have never returned home. The Uber ride from her house to AG house when the live so close to each other also seems odd and frankly unexplained by LE too. So many questions.
NG Uber ride may have been from a different location, not her home. She’s a member of a book club per her FB page and more than likely other groups.

She can walk up to 50 yards. She easily could have walked into the house from the garage in two mins. She was mobile just couldn’t do long distances. Moo this was due to her heart condition (shortness of breath)

She appears to be very active, has traveled to NY and was on the Today on NOv 2025.

She may be old but she seemed to be active.

We have Congresswomen serving at this age.Nancy Pelsoi is 85 alert, oriented and very active!! Maxine Walter’s is 88 !!! I doubt they are in bed by 10pm each night.

Moo

the story is now NG and friends meet to watch a NY based service. They meet at friend's home. So this is evolving. Not sure what the truth is.

I agree. I have never made a link between the two myself. If someone wanted to sabotage her chance of covering a story, there would be a multitude of other ways to do this than kidnap her mother. SG has also covered way higher profile events and stories than the Winter Olympics!

Not to sound cliché but would people outside of the family know the relationship between members of the family? I keep thinking about the usual "they kept to themselves. We've been their neighbors for 30 years and never talked to them other than a wave."

I think the fact that there aren't people coming to their defense probably says alot. I didn't hear SG plead with people to stop spreading gossip about AG/SIL. Not that it means she thinks they are guilty - but it certainly is odd no one, even the family, seems to be speaking up for them.

That's certainly possible, but he did push back on the word "search" and emphasized "solution", which insinuates that he - at least at the time - was briefed that A. she was potentially or even likely alive and B. that a solution was possible. Not a somber-esque "resolution" as in "to the case", but a more optimistically-toned solution, which he carefully parsed. May be nothing to it, may be everything to it.

JMO.

Zach Lind, drummer of Jimmy Eat World, and nephew in-law of Nancy (NG is his wife’s aunt), has been defending AG and TC on X.

That's a little odd. If it's the same church service SG attended why would SG herself have not noticed her mother wasn't there?
this church story is getting out of control with speculation.

That's sort of where I am on this.

Multiple searches at AG's house with photos and samples taken probably means they have some evidence of a crime at the house. I am guessing luminol. The puzzling part would be why would you turn off the light in order to use a flash camera? Or was the flash in a totally different room that was lit up?

The ransom notes are either a cover up attempt or from someone totally unrelated to the abduction trying to extort money.
This too is another reason why I haven’t changed my mind on the SIL being involved. To those who posted details about what is needed to obtain the search warrants, etc., Thank you! This has helped me to understand what LE must detail they’re looking for and where.

The post I was responding to mentioned how nice it was for NG and SG to attend the same NYC church service.

I can follow your logic but there could be other reasons for choosing TMZ in addition to the local stations. TMZ suggested that they were chosen because the sender wanted to know it had been received and the local stations who received it before they did weren’t disclosing it. See the link to the news nation article below.

But also I am not sure that the 2 local stations and TMZ were the only places that it was sent just because they are the only ones that acknowledged they received it. My first thought when it came out was why not send it to NBC or a local NBC affiliate? But maybe they did and maybe NBC chose not to disclose that. How would we know?

And regarding whether sending it to TMZ was from someone under 30…. Well I am considerably over 30 (more than twice that) and well aware that TMZ often talks about things sooner and/or discloses info that news agencies might not.

lmo, TMZ WAS CHOSEN BECAUSE WE ARE DEALING WITH SOMEONE WHO IS an attention seeker and wants to be aligned with and noticed by, the glitterati in general and SG in particular. A celebrity stalker. MOO

Because Mrs. Guthrie and friends were in Tucson viewing the service livestreamed from New York and Savannah was attending in person at the Church in New York where she lives.

imo

The fact is that we don’t know if the correspondence received on Monday was in fact the exact same email TMZ received on Wednesday. The bitcoin account could be a completely different account than the one mentioned to TMZ and it could have been a ruse. The Wednesday email could have been a “hey take my first correspondence seriously”. To me it is obvious that they wanted the supposed kidnapping to be made public. Why would they double down with Wednesday email?

“Harvey Levin, founder of celebrity news website TMZ, has reviewed one of the three identical letters that were sent to media outlets”

(My emphasis.) This has been reported in video and web articles. Multiple news outlets had the same letter, and confirmed among themselves that the contents were the same.

It’s possible that the second note, received by KOLD in Tucson, contained a different Bitcoin wallet address. I’d be surprised if that hadn’t been revealed but it’s not impossible.

Looking at this case from a public-safety angle instead of a stargazing one, I keep coming back to how dark the neighborhood is at night and whether that mattered. It’s hard to come up with eyewitnesses when people can’t really see anything to begin with.

It looks like a beautiful place to live, but properly lit neighborhoods offer more protection, especially for elderly people living alone, those with limited mobility, and homes that are spread out. In places with more lighting, unusual activity has a better chance of being noticed. Lighting doesn’t prevent crime, but it does make it harder for things to happen unseen.

At the same time, it’s fair to say that lighting isn’t a cure-all. Some events happen fast, involve someone the person knows, or leave no obvious sign that anything was wrong at the time.
Many of us live in dark communities here as there are observatories around. Also, the area NG lived in is not known for crime.
