AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

This person I feel could be quite a young man, given his softer look, having maybe not fully grown into his face, the way he walks and holds himself and the lack of foresight. I think this person is about 19-23 years old. He just reminds me of that age group of boys I worked with.

Ok, I didn’t expect to come back here and find these terrifying new images. I guess I will post my theory anyway. It’s pretty basic. This is MOO.

IMO, I have felt since the beginning that the person who took Nancy was known to her. I believe they did some kind of work for her. She may or may not remember them at first glance, but they never forgot her.

My first thought was that this was carried out by a caregiver who was let go in the past few years or so, due to insufficient performance, personality conflict, or worse. Does Nancy even have a caregiver? I have an 89 year old family member who doesn’t have a caregiver, has her own home, but has a cane, still drives locally, and has an active social life.

If it was a caregiver, IMO she carried this out with the help of one or two males - (husband, family member, friend). This scenario also applies to housekeepers and others who did some sort of work for Nancy - landscapers, pool care, handy men, roofers, electricians, etc.

If Nancy liked paying workers by check, like many seniors do, IMO LE will have to look into what workers/businesses Nancy paid in the past few years through her bank statements and check book, which they are probably already doing.

Do any of Nancy’s friends/family remember Nancy complaining about a worker or business or even a neighbor, that she was not happy with, or had a confrontation with, or a worker who gave her the creeps? IMO this was an act of revenge. The big payback.
IMO LE might need to dig further back than the past six months, because grudge holders can sometimes be very patient people.

IMO, this person, grew to greatly resent Nancy over some perceived unfairness. Were they let go at a bad time of year? Was their work shoddy and did that became an issue?

IMO this act was not done for ransom. IMO the ransom notes were created by opportunists and they are all fake.

IMO this has nothing to do with SG’s celebrity. This was done by a person who holds a grudge over Nancy over some conflict. They were hateful and jealous of the good, comfortable life that Nancy has and were determined to take that away from her.
My theory. My opinion only. Thanks for reading.
It's a great theory. If this is what occurred, NG is no longer alive. They can't afford for her to be.

Maybe this guy used the threat of the gun to get NG out of the house and then onto the front steps, waiting for the getaway car to pull up the blood fell (perhaps there was a scuffle inside at some point)?

I'm a bit hung up on the fact that he tried to get in the front door when it looks like there are multiple other possible entry points to the house that would be less likely to have a camera...

EDIT: On the NBC coverage, an ex investigator said the guy could have camped in the area and walked in at night, then waited for a vehicle to come

If the perp didn't remove the Nest from its bracket until after the scuffle with NG in the doorway, they may actually have that footage, as well. MOO!

Do we know, forgive for what is probably the dumbest question ever, what flowers grow by the walkway at NG's house?

The FBI Director Kash Patel mentions that the files on the camera may have been corrupt. Here's one possible way a file can be corrupted. The link below explains other ways

Physical Damage

When the section on the drive where a file is stored gets physically damaged, the file will likely get corrupted. A damaged section is typically called a “bad section.”

Amateur "inside" kidnapping that went sideways. Unfortunately I think NG has not survived. IMO perp knew she was elderly but wasn't able/prepared to provide her with needed care. JMO.

for anyone confused about what's glowing when the person looks into the nest camera, it's a flashlight. screenshots from kash patel's video on X taken about a second apart. in the first screenshot the flashlight is clicked on, in the second one it's clicked off.

also. this is totally a man. IMO

I just can't get over the fact that the day before Nancy was taken, 2 hours away in Scottsdale, two teens with supplies, disguises, and tools committed a home invasion demanding 66 million in crypto. And were instructed and paid to do so by anonymous masterminds(allegedly). Then the next day some guy/girl shows up at a home in another Arizona city, also with supplies and a disuise, also at night, kidnaps Nancy, and ransom notes demand 6 million in crypto.

Coincidences and oddities happen sometimes, but I can't get over that.
I'll have to Google these. LE has told me they don't believe in coincidence. I'd think they'd look into that

His stature seems medium-short and stout. Walks kinda side to side and is slow.
I wonder if some of it could be due to the layers or kinds of clothing he is wearing, including the backpack being heavy, possibly.

The eyes look feminine to me but the body looks masculine.
Exactly what I thought. I have seen men with dark eyelashes look similar. I think his eyes are small and wide set? If someone can get the perfect screenshot, I think it could show his nose in profile. I just cannot get it.

Also, does thos person have reflectors above the backpack strap padding?

Come on people, what brand of jacket is this and any guess on the colors?

Interestingly enough, I don't see confidence. I see frustration and having to come up with a way to cover a camera that they didn't factor in? Or it was meant to be disconnected?

I don't know. There's something odd about this person's attitude. Someone who knew the camera was there would have, to my mind, come prepared to immediately destroy it. This person looks as if a key was expect among the pebbles, and the camera is a hassle.

Just thoughts...opinio

IMO that style of shoe/runner can make a foot look smaller
Sure looks female to me. Sort of average female height - 5'4 or possibly 5'5, Whole body looks female to me. And I agree this person seems impatient or slightly frustrated with the whole nest cam thing.

He preplanned this and brought a backpack yet he had to use plant material for the front camera. Why didn’t he just bring a piece of tape and cover it up? What does this say to us?
He knows the camera is there and is using the flowers as a macabre message.

I think they could have had false eyelashes on, as part of the disguise
or a woman? The eyes look like those of a female. But I am NO expert!

Catching up… but it definitely looks like he has a mustache in this photo.
I think he might be wearing an upper face mask that is a female and a lower face mask that is of a man. Something about the lips look fake. I think it's portion of a mask covering the mouth area and lips - with facial hair on the mask.

Honestly I'm not sure any of this persons actual face is visible at all.

I was curious why there was so much more media at Nancy's house today, and why Jake Tapper was there. I'm watching CNN now, and I've gleaned the following:

It's likely that Savannah knew about this evidence last night, and her post was designed to lay the groundwork for today. There was also reports of a surge of FBI agents to Tucson, almost certainly related to this.

Agents need to be on the ground to go through all the tips that are going to be coming in as a result of this, and I guess protocol is that two agents actually respond to every tip.

Any ideas on what the heck was up with them grabbing flowers and holding it up to the camera? Was that just to cover it up with something? Really bizarre.
Pulling flowers out of the way to grab the nest doorbell.jmo
