DE is the SIL's bandmate. While I guess it could be him, the family says they don't recognize the guy in the photos/videos. Also, DE lacks the facial hair and as far as I can tell has prominent ears. I could be wrong, but I don't think it looks like the guy has large ears under that ski mask.

JMO
Hmm. I read some articles from other countries that I cannot link but I don’t know. I do see a resemblance.

If the purpose was a robbery, why not take something material? Make NG come up with jewelry, etc. rather than just take her? Seems weird to have left things behind that might be valuable.
intent to kidnap, methinks

Tucson is high elevation desert. 2400 + feet. Gets pretty chilly as soon as the sun goes down. It is still winter. And what they say about Arizona..It’s all about altitude, not latitude.
Spent a winter there. Don't recall wearing more than shorts/short sleeves. Maybe a light jacket at night.

It looks like the ring camera is approximately at armpit level. Looking at pictures of the door and assuming the door is 8 feet, that puts armpit level at 5 feet. Add at least another foot for rest of chest, shoulders, and head, he’s likely over 6 ft tall.

I don't know if allowed but someone colorized image on XView attachment 643436
So the next time I get creeped out when someone knocks on my door late at night and my husband says, "What the hell, do you think a burglar is going to come to the front door and ring the damn doorbell?" My answer is, "You bet your sweet ass."

BREAKING: "Sick prankster" calls for Domino's pizza delivery to Nancy Guthrie's house:

Could this be the kidnappers teasing LE?
This came from a woman in Oregon who ordered a pizza for JLR. I was watching his live stream when it happened. The Domino’s delivery driver called the person who placed the order, and she confirmed it was meant for JLR.

Modnote: The link for the Media thread is in RED on page one of this thread, first post. So you can always find it.

A white guy with those pruned sharpie eyebrows? Idk

-def. attempt at disguise (yet has reflective backpack)

-heavy nitrile gloves - bulky but def. hide fingerprints

-strange holster arrangement front crotch, open carry. I don't get it.

-displays latanas with seeming purpose to camera
I feel like he is using the flowers to hide his picking of the lock or opening with a key? It might be a key, and he doesn’t want it seen.

Wouldn’t a professional have known video doorbells can have images recovered? Or that there’d have been video cameras around so to find a different entrance?

(I am basing my idea of a professional purely on Hollywood films, though, tbh…)
I think there is a difference between prepared and professional. A prepared amateur with a plan would know about the camera (I think he did, because of the picture with the face turned down), and perhaps even that there is no subscription. But, they might not know that anything could be recovered from a camera with no subscription. A professional who kidnaps people for a living would probably know all of these things, but I'm still a long way from believing a professional kidnapper or hitman was sent to do anything to Savannahs Mom. Right now I'm leaning toward prepared.

Would LE, FBI, etc be able to know if the person who texted AG and her husband was in AZ on the date of these video?

this is not what happened. Someone sent pizza to a podcaster that has been there. The ridiculous part of it was, the pizza guy was able to make it to the front door! While Sheriff's deputies were sitting right there!!! The poor pizza dude had no idea where he was.

Watched it happen and it's been talked about on tv.

But will say JMO

New images in the search for Nancy Guthrie:

Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.

Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance.

Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit http://tips.fbi.gov
Is that a gun in a holster with the butt of the gun toward his right hand? Also, in that last photo (2nd fist close-up)....is that a mustache?

Forgive me my ignorance. It is something my great-aunts used to say when I was younger, but since they were indeed early 19th-century people, their "knowledge" cannot compete with the currently accepted trove of facts.

I will refrain from commenting on such points as I am, obviously, operating on a different wavelength from the one here. My whimsical take was absurd and I wish I could retract it.

Maybe he's not very good at hiding.

Or (probably not this but) could there have been a disagreement about gardens? Or gardening?

I do find the plant action very odd.

But the footage is not continuous. It therefore isn't easy to tell how much time has passed or what he does right before hand.

SERIOUS QUESTION. If this was your son, would you turn him in? Neighbors might recognize, friends, coworkers, etc..and I know the family of Charlie Kirk turned in the alleged killer. However..family would probably know clothes, gun, backpack, eyes etc the best. Would you turn him in? Asking for help from the community might not produce what they are hoping, especially if he isnt local and disconnected from family dynamics. I only ask because I am not confident he will be identified.. really no need to answer. Just ask yourself..you might not turn in your son...... JMO Let's hope he has a cousin ....
