Nancy Guthrie - First Activity in Bitcoin Account

UPDATE:

4:34 PM PT
-- We've seen activity for the first time in the bitcoin account listed in the first ransom note which was sent to us here at TMZ, and also to 2 TV stations in Tucson. For various reasons, we are not going to reveal the amount, but the activity happened in the last 25 minutes.

I know alittle bit (but not much) about bitcoin, but can anyone please explain how HL would have the kind of access to see activity in the account? Would be able to see if it was a deposit or withdrawal?
The first ransom note was sent to TMZ and it included the bitcoin account number so HL has it.

Just want to say a welcome to New members, I was new once and lots of established long term members helped me find my footing

This case is overwhelmingly fast paced and we are powering through massive amounts of posts so when questions get repeated we can get a little tetchy as we are looking for the important info

Normally we have more time to show grace and patience

Hopefully you will stay to find that out as WS is a fantastic community with wonderful passionate members who want justice for victims and connections to others who are interested in the genre of crime

what we all want for Nancy is for this crime to be solved 🥰

He was provided with the account number in the copy of the ransom note sent to him.

That has been WIDELY reported, and discussed here, for DAYS.

I am no expert but since Harvey had the Bitcoin address and was able to see activity. He could see money went in, but it could have been just a small amount, only so they could trace where it went. Yes they can do that. Thus the LE activity. Who knows, just a guess,

Potentially big development in the Nancy Guthrie abduction ... our law enforcement sources say whoever kidnapped her from her Arizona home is also from the Tucson area.

Multiple sources involved in the investigation tell TMZ ... the operating theory is that the ransom notes were written by the kidnapper, and those notes provide clues on where the abductor lives.

I can't lie... Still not convinced the ransom notes are from the person who abducted NG, but I'm willing to eat crow if I'm wrong.

But not a literal crow. I love crows.

With all the claims of accounts being untraceable.
I don't know anything about it, but I know I can see my friends "Venmo" payments (made and received). I rarely use it and immediately changed the settings. That is not everyone's business.

Hopefully this link is ok, to a video of Fox News. I can't seem to find the video myself, but here it is describing the blood droplets continuing from the porch to the edge of the driveway.

TMZ received the initial ransom note that included the account number. They have monitoring the account for activity, using something like Block Chain. You can see the amount in the account, but not the account holder.

Worth noting that anyone who had the BTC address could send money to it. Hypothetically, anyone who saw one of the ransom notes sent to media could have taken note of the bitcoin address, similar to bad actors who write fake ransom notes.

I believe the account number was revealed in a post/article somewhere.

Bitcoin transaction contain wallets w/a number (similar to an account number).
The information is kept and if that account number is used again, it can be monitored. Apparently, bitcoin is not as secure as previously thought. moo

Wonder if he was surprised there was still footage without the camera. How was he so confident she didnt have a subscription is all I want to know.

Would the bitcoin account holder have to withdraw/move said amount to a different account in order for LE to be able to trace it, or is the act of them depositing some enough?

FWIW, Harvey Levin on CNN just now reported the photos became available this morning and now there is activity in the bitcoin account.
Maybe fbi found the pocket and are wanting to see if it's one and the same perp

No one can track a pacemaker. It doesn't ping off of anything. It's only job is to collect info from the heart and transmit to doctor. Transmitting device was left at her home.
It would be pretty easy for the cops to bring the device to any suspected location of NG to see if it connects. JMO

Bitcoin accounts' transactions are public, but the address (similar to a routing number) is anonymous.

Steve from Agenda Free TV just said KGUN said the activity in bitcoin account less than $300
