Does the following image represent a second person caught by the front door camera at NGs? I saw this image amongst the images releases and the shoes appeared different to me. Perhaps shoe covering taken off.. pt does not have backpack on... wondered if it was a different second person? Any thoughts?
This looks like an AI generated image.

I don't think that having analysed the blood splatter, it was planted at all, the pattern doesn't show that. You can see there are two sides to it and a large point at the end, almost in a V shape formation. If it was thrown in two stages to create that effect,it crossed over at a point a little. Still, it doesn't its all created in one go.
This pattern suggests that someone was hit with some sort of blunt force at the front door, and we know that it's Nancy's blood. I would suggest that perhaps, quite simply, Nancy was pulled out of the front door and possibly pistol-whipped with the gun. As she's an older lady, her skin is much thinnner so it's unfortunate that she would bleed and bruise much easier than a younger person.
As for who or what or why and all the other speculations, who knows, but let's just look at the evidence there is, not what there could be.
Looks like there is blood mist too. An injury occurs very close to that location IMO

Nancy's church had two services in person and viewable online. One at 9:00 a.m. and one at 10:45 a.m.

Has it been verified which service she would normally watch with her friend?
It's already been said she was not expected to be attending her own church, in person or virtually. She was supposed to be watching a live stream of SG's church service.

There are so many threads to this. One thread, surely Nancy would be saying, 'I need my medicines', the person who took her (he / she needs to make sure she's o.k.), goes to the chemist or mail orders the prescription over the internet between 'XX/XX/XX - XX/XX/XX dates. The police know what Nancy requires meds wise, so tracking down orders.

I am just curious to know where that data point "specifically" comes from i.e. the contact from the church friend or a specific family member's cell data etc.
If and when there is an arrest, the information may be in the arrest warrant. If not, it will certainly be released during a trial. Details are rarely released to the general public, to protect the integrity of evidence.

I was so worried with a no body trial of Kelsey Brerreth. I was amazed the number of expert witnesses and forensics presented. A slam dunk, in my opinion.

We’re all just gonna have to wait ….
Moo….

I didn't know alot about BE before Nancy's disappearance, and I've been so impressed with his stamina and coverage. But this has tarnished him IMO. I think he crossed the line and he took it way too far, almost like a tabloid reporter. I don't know if he's so fatigued he didn't think through what he was doing, but I'm less inclined to follow him now.

In Brian's defense, many of us are suspicious that he doesn't in fact sleep. Certainly during this case he'd be lucky to grab the odd nap here and there.
He's usually very respectful and he's regarded as being among the most well regarded independent crime reporters in the US.
It looks a lot worse just because LE clearly had the wrong guy, but that's not quite Brian's fault.

Perhaps it's just me, but it appears that the stems of the plant are too thin to be any use as a tool. I think he was trying to obscure.

video for reference
Perhaps it was to make the live alert on Nancy's phone look like plants waving about in the wind? Not that they would be that close to the camera.

The social workers card left in the door. Its concerning. Did she call, did someone else call for elder abuse? Was N being financially or physically abused by someone in her family or a caregiver?
It maybe standard procedure to notify Protective Services in an adult missing person case. Moo

I agree with all of this. I said yesterday the trail reminded me of a nose bleed. Perhaps from being hit in the face near the door.

Yes we discussed this card very early on in this thread. At the time it was my belief that this card appeared *after* the crime, because JMO MOO i don't think it was there in the earliest photos of Nancy's house in the very early days of the investigation. But perhaps I was wrong, I am going to see if there is a way to find out by going back in time over the images. Either way, the leaving of the card was very strange, but if it was indeed before then that is baffling.
Totally agree. The card is very interesting and it'd be good to know when it was left there. It would make sense that APS would be involved when an elderly person is missing. But leaving the card there? I wonder if APS also reached out to the family.

For sure LE knows if there'd ever been APS involvement.

Well, I'm clear now I was confused by "detained at a traffic stop" and the "handcuffed fellow in the house".
Separate individuals.
SIL and Son.....
Sorry.
Not another SIL! argh

Can you say what the arrest was for? Is he a sex offender?
There is a person in his 50’s same name,

That guy looks like a guy who broke into a neighbors yard weeks earlier.

Yes, detained for questioning. I hope they got information to further the case. This pic was included in X as the detainee. Similar?

This has also been my idea about how it happened. Doorbell rings, NG goes to the door, she is punched in the face or hit with something. And dragged out of the house. Yes based on the blood splatter data.

Other people have said NG would never open the door to someone she didn't know. And the police say she was dragged out of her bed as I recall.

So IDK.

A few points of note (without me injecting my conclusions)

Crypto ransoms take a high degree of skill to pull off. POI would need to understand how to cold store BTC. Not on a hot wallet like Ledger. True cold storage takes sophistication and years of planning (storing keys and sleepy wallets with NO prior transactions). After the ransom is paid, POI would then need to use a crypto mixer like Monero or similar to breakdown the BTC, send it to hundreds of wallets, wash the hashes in thousands of transactions and then recollect the BTC once its been washed. After all that, they’d need a laundering scheme to convert the cleaned crypto into fiat. This person(s) would NOT send notes to the media. They understand anonymity and would avoid hot contact (I.e internet contact)

If you’re confused, you’re not the culprit. That gives a sense for the kind of person or persons skilled enough to pull off a crypto ransom. And that says nothing of the skill to kidnap someone. Those are two very different skill sets that rarely occur in one person.

What kind of singular person would those two rare skill sets occur in?

Perhaps that is a good way to think about who the perp might be.

Cyber division of the military?

That sounds like a stupid thing that doesn't exist, but like, the real version of whatever that is?
