Disagree, why would there be a glove on the side of the road? Explain to me how it would get there, specifically relating it to this case.
You didn’t ask me, but I’ll butt in.

It’s possible that a latex glove could be left by the roadside by some sort first responder. Here in NYC, officers wear latex gloves sometimes when handling a suspect or evidence. They wore purple latex gloves during an incident I witnessed yesterday. (I can provide a photo if anyone wants proof that they wear disposable gloves.)

EMT/paramedics go wear them for all calls, and don’t always worry about where they land when there’s an emergency. A family member is a paramedic and always has some a bunch of them in a pocket, and they respond to roadside events regularly.

It’s possible that “Lantana Man” had to stop the car and get out for some reason; maybe to change license plates or check something on the outside of the car?

I’d be curious to know which side of the road it was on!

To me, he looked like he came straight from the bar, just before closing time. It had been a long night of drinking.
Due to the situation, I know this isn’t funny, but to be perfectly honest your description fits some of the people I treat at my job. Many appear exactly like this and now I can’t unsee it

Not sure I understand? I expect them to investigate, but it appears this guy was irrelevant and being watched for a time before this?? Yes they should investigate alot of people that had interaction in that area (delivery people, workers etc) but they should be able to also make timely eliminations and not be tracking people over time that can be eliminated quickly.
How do you propose they eliminate him quickly? What’s your investigative strategy?

Bring up a picture of the front door. The door bell is to the right. Watch the video at the same time and he is pushing in to something right where the doorbell is located. The camera is a little above and he is covering that with his glove.
He has one hand on top of the doorbell cam and one on the bottom of the doorbell cam trying to pull it off the mount. The camera and the doorbell are on the same unit. Also, when the Nest Doorbell Camera button is pushed it lights up with a pretty bright white light. I don't see that light flashing against those gloves. IMO

Been reading up on many of the theories here and on twitter. Felt the need to say that anyone insisting that the family/BIL were responsible/abetted the kidnapping is ridiculous. To believe that after 11 days of investigating, tracing their digital footprints, scrutinizing their whereabouts and timelines, scanning through their homes, they’re still somehow involved? Absolutely they should all take the polygraph, but judging from the fervor in some people who continue to point the finger at them, passing the polygraph wouldn’t be enough.

IMO more attention needs to be paid to the employees who worked at NG’s house. Not because they’re directly involved, but because they’re probably a couple of degrees of separation from the people who were. A friend or a friend of a friend maybe. They might have (either knowingly or unwittingly) talked about the intricacies of the property/its owner. The info was then used to plan the event.

Additionally I would like to know more info on the ransom note, if the placement of the Apple Watch was somewhat unique (like in the kitchen sink or in the fridge) then it’s most likely credible, if it just said that the Apple Watch was somewhere ubiquitous (like bed side table or desk) then it’s most likely someone being opportunistic.

Either way, unfortunately I think NG is most likely dead. Even if the ransom was paid, how would the kidnappers have returned her? Dropping her off on the desert after days with no medication for her to walk? They were just banking on impulsive hope, which is why they chose to share it with the media for more pressure.

I can only assume that phone data from NG and TC confirm this.... maybe LE is intentionally leaving out details, but they seem to act like they think she was dropped off.
At this point it is pretty logical to presume she was dropped off based on the info given. But then again I don't think it is likely that someone killed her suddenly, and quickly dressed up in a costume, to perform for the cameras and hid her body while leaving a trail of blood.

My opinion only, but I believe that when something gets super close to the camera like that, you get somewhat of a fish-eye lens type distortion, making it look much bigger than it is.

MOO
Yes, having looked again at the video, he can bend his fingers.

If the glove was found on the right hand shoulder of the road it would be quite a toss from the drivers side.Easier from the passenger side.
Trying to keep up, which road was it found on and which side of the road? Are we sure which direction they were traveling to know which side was drivers/passenger?

If, as many have speculated, the person on camera was wearing multiple gloves, unsure how helpful this glove will be. Any thoughts? Also seems odd to dispose of it so relatively close to the scene. Wonder how they knew to look at roadsides. Is that typical?
Yes, I was wondering the same thing--if the suspect was already wearing gloves when he put on the black gloves, would there be enough touch DNA to be useful to investigators? I am also wondering how would the glove appear more than a mile ( as per the linked article from the NYPost) from the crime scene? If the suspect was in a car, could s/he have taken off the gloves and put them in his/her lap. If s/he needed to stop the car and get out, could the glove have dropped out of the car onto the side of the road? Do we know where investigators found the glove--which road?

I’m wondering if a possible explanation for one of the two cops at AG’s house leaving with a bag of groceries today could be that the family needed some supplies/toiletries/snacks but didn’t want to risk their privacy, and more importantly, their life safety, by either going to a physical store, or typing in the address for where they’re currently staying when ordering online, where it could be viewable, and thus leakable, by website staff, the personal shopper and other in-store staff, the delivery driver etc.

If there’s a policeman going to the house every day, to remove mail while wearing gloves, in case a hard-copy ransom letter gets sent there in the family’s absence, maybe the family said “We’re going to be ordering a few things from Whole Foods, with a “Leave on the doorstep” instruction. Please could you have someone bring it to our secure, unknown location when your guy goes today to get the mail?”

Just my own thoughts and opinion, but it crossed my mind as a possibility.
I do think that's a real possibility, yes.

everything about this is just off.

perp looks ridiculous and facial hair looks painted
perp wearing layers of gloves disguising his hands or just protecting against rips in the outer glove
maybe 2 masks on this individual
why does his head look so huge? hair? beard? extra hats underneath?
entire person looks heavily layered
idiotic lantana gathering ( but resourceful to save his gloves from tearing as he rips off camera).
someone on here said they use those white holsters in Italian police dept? ( no link?)
perp seems too relaxed to be the only perp on the scene
did the perp proceed around back to break in or did someone else break in the back? when in the sequence did this guy show up?

mOO
Great questions.

Funny enough I actually do believe the second one, or at least a less organised version of it.

It has been suggested Nancy may have
a) had brain-fog or been groggy if she was woken up at 2am.
b) thought the man knocking was coming to collect her to take her to the church gathering

Alternatively, maybe Nancy didn't even think to check the cameras before opening.
To be clear, these were suggested by you.

a) Grogginess only lasts a few moments for most IMO, even if being awoken in the middle of the night. Regardless of whatever situation you speculate, it makes no sense for NG to still be groggy by the time she arrives at the door, IMO.
b) it was the middle of the night; I seriously doubt NG was so confused she thought someone was there to take her to church - something that usually happened during the daytime. She had functioning eyes, as far as we know.

Alternatively, I seriously doubt she opened the door in the middle of the night to a stranger unless she thought it was related to her family’s safety. There is no reason to think she thought that was the case, IMHO.

No mention or link she has a wheelchair.

She CAN walk 50 yards. …a football field.

Moo…
Half a football field...but still a significant distance.

BE showed a box of black nitrite gloves in a video, I think yesterday, after the footage was released. Then investigators are seen in the media looking for something that was dropped near AG house.

I wonder if this gave the real glove wearer an idea to plant a glove, with either someone else's DNA or no DNA at all? (for the thrill of it)

No, his MIL was telling the reporter that the FBI or someone had told her that her son-in-law's eyes looked like the guy they were after. MIL is not the one who ever said that, she said the photo of the suspect did not look like her SIL at all. She wanted to show a photo of her SIL to the reporter (because he was being interviewed by investigators at the moment and not doing camera interviews yet), but couldn't because the FBI had taken her phone. She also said the FBI had gotten a tip that Nancy was in her house. She was clearly upset and was like they can look anywhere, we don't have anything to hide.
Would you happen to have a link? TIA

My mother's house has a door similar to that. It has the bars and glass, so you cannot reach through. I doubt she opened this door. So, either he came to disable the camera before using the door, or someone else let him in, not NG. I don't know where I saw it mentioned that NG came in through the garage, but what if someone who had been in the house knew that she always uses the garage door and that person unlocked the front door? She likely would have expected it to be locked and didn't check it before going to bed. My mother never used the front door, but occasionally, one of the kids would open it and it would have remained unlocked. She never thought about checking it, but then she left the back door unlocked while she was gone. It used to drive me a little crazy.
I too would like to know what her habits were like with respect to the door leading inside the residence from the garage. It's actually quite easy to break into your garage via the garage door unless you physically use the locking mechanism on the garage door. It can be done in seconds.
If NG didn't regularly check or lock the door (from inside) to the garage...

Anyone have the photo or video of the perp without gun showing and no backpack on? Did they release just the still pic or was there a video along with it?
I've seen a photo of the perp without gun and no backpack and no jacket. I've searched and searched and can't find that photo.

Thats odd because his wife was targeted. Did Savannah immediately think she was targeted???
Tbh I never considered that ?
Hm.
Jmo.

How do you propose they eliminate him quickly? What’s your investigative strategy?
I'm not LE or FBI - I think they should be better at this then me and senior elite investigators should have the ability to quickly eliminate people who are unlikely and invest resources in following people that are more suspect - this guy, it appears was quickly eliminated as a suspect only AFTER he was being surveilled for days and then brought in on some dramatic detainment. If he was so quickly eliminated why spend the time surveilling him unless they are really just lost... which it appears they may be. that is mo

Plus, would a criminal be likely to carelessly discard evidence that could identify him?
you'd think not, but then again did we all not just watch another big profile case where the suspect drove his own car to the murder and left a sheath?
