I remember watching those bbq competitions on tv, and a lot of those competitors had gloves that reminded me of the masked porch man.
Seems they’re nitrile with cotton liners, for the bbq cooks.

I don’t have black ones, but we always have a big box of disposable latex or nitrile gloves at my house. We use them for all kinds of uses (handling meats, while cleaning, etc). It may be common to have in many homes. jmo
Would make sense to wear heat resistant gloves since the scary guy was smashing lights and stealing security cameras

She was returned home; her blood was deposited at the front door and down the sidewalk AFTER the doorbell cam guy was there in the wee hours of the morning.
MOO the small area of blood droplets close together looks like she was stationary for a moment
So I've pondering those blood spots and drops. And I question if they are related to NG's disappearance - unless LE was able to put a date and time stamp on them.

My mother, who died from heart failure, was on an anti-coagulent because of a-Fib and a history of pulmonary embolism for several years before she passed at 88.

That caused her to bruise exceptionally easily and to suddenly bleed from her hands, arms, and legs with the slightest impact. And sometimes she'd not know she was bleeding and would leave a trail.

We don't know what heart meds NG is on. But I can tell you that in some of the recent pics of NG, her arms and hands look just like my Mom's did, with large bruises and bandages. So I speculate that NG was on an anti-coagulent.

If there is any truth to my speculation, then I wonder if those blood spots are from Nancy having a recent bleed as she left a vehicle and walked TO her front door. At her front door, she'd have paused to get.her keys, perhaps, and bled at a standstill. Just like my Mom might do.

IMO.

Sheriff also called in homicide after seeing crime scene. Would love to get more info on what the house looked like inside when first responders post 911 call arrived at NG house.
Do we know if blood was found anywhere inside the home? I've not yet read anything about that, but calling in homicide leaves me with the impression there was more inside. Just MOO/IMO

Would it be logical to think that the “perp” would have silenced NG? She could’ve screamed on that doorway or anywhere in the open. Was she ‘silenced’ somehow? *awful I know…
Like meaning chloroform? Knockout? Etc

I’m just seeing the Nest picture of the [link removed] with no backpack and gun. Wow!

It looks like a different night to me. The night Nancy was taken was a full moon and you can see the bright street in the other pictures but it’s very dark in the picture with no bag and gun.
This is beyond creepy.

I would think LE would have access to earlier video footage and motion alerts from inside the house if someone had broken in prior to this person.
I understand but in my interpretation of how Google was able to retrieve this video even tho no subscription is because it was nearly some of the last video taken because it rewrites over previous vids so they were only able to pull vids from the last 3 hours? I thought police said earlier the cams detected movement inside but had no footage due to lack of subscription? Again if this is 1:30ish is Nancy even really in the house was she ever? Did family give a description of what she was wearing for dinner that night and did they find those clothes in the home as she definitely would've taken them off by nearly 2 in the morning if she were home and in bed sleeping like we are led to believe.
Maybe she never made it to bed. I know watch/app unsynced from pacemaker but did that happen while she was home? Because it can happen anywhere if out of Bluetooth range or app turned off/no wifi. I thought I read somewhere her phone was in her car in the garage even. We don't know when or how blood got outside of front door based on anything the police have told us. All we know for certain about that night is Nancy went to Annie's per uber driver. Everything after that is unclear except she has not been seen since. Maybe the back door was left open for this person but dummy came to the front before going to the back? Police may have more video footage and google might be lying about being able to recover just footage from last 3hrs with no subscription to quell privacy concerns but I can only base my hunch off of what I've been privy too not things the police may or may not have. I'm just trying to think outside the box because this case and everything we know thus far doesn't make sense.

My understanding is that Nancy was associated with St. Andrew's Presbyterian in the Tucson area.

What does this church in New York have to do with Nancy?
Fox and other outlets have reported that NG and her friends were going to watch the livestream of SG's New York area church. AZCentral reports that that church was Good Shepherd. I think NG also had an association with St. Andrew's Presbyterian in Tucson.

Nancy Guthrie was expected at friend’s home, not church on day she vanished: source

Maybe NG did have safe of cash and perhaps gold and was robbed morning of 2/1/26 but family didn't know or is just not releasing info to public. Lots of elderly have cash and valuables at home and NG lived in house since the 1970s. Seems like a robbery by close intimate person(s) of NG and something bad happened to NG in process. Time did not seem to be of essence until NG woke up.

At one time my in-laws had a mind-boggling amount of cash in their at-home safe. Worse yet, it was in a cabinet in the garage. It was bolted in, but it made me even more nervous when my MIL was living there by herself.

It's SG's church NG attends virtually

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

If NG had other incident of someone at her door scaring her, I wonder why her security system was so minor. Like why the lack of front doorbell video subscription or maybe it ended shortly before latest crime. And, why the only around 2 minute drop off by family at 9:48 pm or so 1/31/26. Surely, family members would drop her off and check entire house and doors to make sure NG would be safe, comfortable, and secure for the night if there were other scary encounters.
My question is why didn't she move?

Neighborhoods change as time passes and if this one became less safe why stay there?

No. I'm not trying to guilt trip the family. I'm just asking why?

Did the perp remove the camera to buy time for breaking in before Nancy saw him on her phone alerts and made a call for help, or to erase footage for investigation purposes? If the latter, did he not know the footage is normally recoverable, or did he somehow know Nancy didn't have a subscription?

I wouldn't be surprised if he works with his hands, or does boxing, just something about the way he moves them IMO, and have been having the same thought as someone above, about the mouth flashlight being something he's used in his work. Like an electrician, plumber or mechanic.

No, it was simply used to block the lens. Also it was a Nest camera, not Ring.
After watching it again , it looked like he used the plants to block the camera b/c he needed both hands to remove it.

If a disoriented, elderly woman, with poor vision and hearing, were to hear a familiar voice with urgency?
I think we can safely say he didn't ring the doorbell, knock on the door etc etc etc he would have broken into a back door or used the sliding doors out the back.

- The video suggests that he initially parked to the right side of the house in the main driveway by the garage since he came around from there to the front door.
- She went out the front door. We can infer this because her blood trail, via video/pictures (and I think LE stated this too), went to the end of the front sidewalk to the circle driveway.
- He didn't likely go in the front door from the start. We can infer this because he purportedly, and as the media pictures suggest, disabled/destroyed the flood light in the back of the house at the back door. He allegedly referred to this in a ransom demand/communication.

I think he had already done what he was there to do by the time he approached the front door (now unlocked) and he removed the camera so that he could get her to the van/vehicle, now in the front of the house, in the shortest distance and with the cover of front brush - and without video of her removal or his vehicle. I think this was planned and she was intentionally kidnapped because:

- He sent a ransom demand.
- He specifically placed things and/or disturbed the scene with the intention of proving he intended to do it.

Just a guess, but probably because she loved her house and community. She’s been there for like over 50 years, and maybe it’s not true that she felt unsafe. I thought I did read that she felt safe, in fact. Yes, found it:

“When asked if Nancy had ever expressed having any fear of being alone or kidnapped, Blevins said, “No, never.” When asked if she ever spoke about having security concerns, Blevins said, “No, not at all.” (LINK)

She was active with her circle of friends in a book club, and was in a mahjong group. She picked up her grandson from school and watched him sometimes.
She had health issues but was cognitively sound.

I assume it was the last place she lived with her husband, given the date of purchase, and I think there's a lot of sentimental value in that alone. She raised her children there. And it was what was familiar to her, which is important to many people as they get older. I'm guessing she couldn't imagine living anywhere else, although I have wondered if the larger house purchased by her daughter and SIL was in anticipation of her eventually needing to move in with them. Someone posted the floor plan of that home and it appeared to be quite spacious.

She was probably woken up to a gun in her face, told to be quiet and follow his instructions. MOO
