I don't know but I think it is important to keep an open mind and to be able to ponder if this could really be a woman culprit. I'm sure the FBI with all the AI technology have a definite profile but they are keeping it under wraps. JMO

according to the FBI website, arrests for robbery and murder are over 80% male.

the odds of it being a woman are astronomically low. the build does not suggest woman at all, nor does the gait. not to mention the height, you can tell from the video he's tall. there was a great post a few pages back estimating the height to be between 5'10"-6' of course there are women who are that tall but the odds of it being a woman at all, let alone one over 5'10" are just... so extremely low.

i can't understand why so many people always speculate it's a woman in these types of crimes. i know this crime is already extremely unusual and weird, but it being committed by a woman on top of all that... i have a better chance of winning the lottery.

Same. I think it is hard to tell i.e. eyebrows versus seam.
In the close up picture it really looks to be the seam and I see nothing unusual about the eyes to indicate mascara - looks like my lashes without mascara.. plenty of men I know have thick eyelashses. The mustache in the close up looks legit to me too in that frame ...jmo

Would you like a perspective, from a distance, from a well known UK criminologist?

This video on This Morning TV starts with a reporter from USA but second half goes to the criminologist.

No direct sources on why they think these items are the brand listed, but grabbed larger images for anyone that wants them.

They think the jacket is 2XU brand, the gun holster Uncle Mike's, the nitrite gloves Hyper Tough, and the backpack Ozark Trail. I know there's been some chatter about Ozark Trail. All four of the items I just listed appear to be sold at Walmart. They think the ski mask is Rothco, which they've found online.
JMO
Re the Jacket, the cuffs are way off. Camera Images show cuffs with very thin elastic “binding tape”, guessing binding tape is 1/2” wide/ folded 1/4” wide, contrasting, completely different color than jacket.
The jacket that is shown as a “ match”, has very wide gathered cuffs, maybe 1” elastic, sleeve material just folded over, sewn to hold elastic, same color cuffs.
So jacket is not right.

If he bought the things a month ago with cash, would Walmart still have the footage?
Perhaps, if it is stored in the cloud and most likely offsite servers. It depends on where it is stored. For example, we have a business and our cameras store 30 days, but that is because of the storage space on our devices. So, if you know where Walmart stores the information you can determine how much storage space it is capable of holding. Hope that answers your question.

Same. I think it is hard to tell i.e. eyebrows versus seam.

And when I google images of ski masks it seems that specific style of ski mask does many times cover all or at least part of the eyebrows of the person wearing it. moo

The gloves are clearly not the same and even the holes for the eyes in the ski mask are a totally different shape. This is just bad reporting imo.
Found this mask one at target

I saw this site when Hannah Kobayashi went missing, and I posted once about her case. I'm not a regular to this site, so please excuse any potential violations of the written and unwritten rules.

But I wanted to say something, because I'm really bothered by the Adult Protective Services (APS) business card on Nancy Guthrie's front door. I am a physician and have worked in an affiliated relationship with APS in my state. APS generally does not get involved with an older adult unless an APS report is filed. This can come from anyone: friends, family, medical providers, financial representatives, etc. But it is usually filed because someone is worried that an older adult is suffering from abuse. There are five primary types of abuse: neglect, self-neglect, verbal abuse, physical abuse, and financial abuse. It does not seem like Nancy Guthrie was suffering from self-neglect: she doesn't have markers of self-neglect, like malnutrition, poor hygiene, or hoarding behaviors. So that likely means that someone suspected neglect, verbal abuse, physical abuse, and/or financial abuse. These are all perpetrated on an older adult, by someone else -- so someone may have suspected that Nancy Guthrie was being abused by someone else. APS can turn this information over to law enforcement -- they usually work closely with law enforcement.

Is this why law enforcement has focused so heavily on on Nancy Guthrie's family, especially her family that lives in Tucson?

One more thing: I've seen patients bleed and then try to leave the ER or hospital against medical advice. Bleeding, while walking or being transported, leaves a linear bloodstain. It's one blood drop, then another, and then a line of blood drops. Like leaving a trail of breadcrumbs. That's not the blood trail around Nancy Guthrie's front entrance.
Thank you for this, and welcome back.
That business card has been weighing heavily on my mind. Now that I've read your post, I wonder if NG had a recent doctors appointment, or possibly an issue at her financial institution(s)? Someone may have reached out to APS on her behalf and they came to visit her. Would there be a file under her name at APS if the case were in the very beginning stages?
I wonder, too, if this is why her church friend was so worried about her that morning.
IMO.

And this, kids, is why we should have all paid attention in Algebra and Geometry class.
If the word problems would've been about burglers and kidnappers, maybe more would!

A 20% chance is not “astronomically low”

or flush them down the toilet

edit: yes, i know, you'd have to cut up the mask to avoid clogging.

I think he's alone. If you watch closely when he approaches the gate, I can see the gun holster swing out from his waist. He also has his jacket unzipped and places his hand at his waist a couple of time, probably because the gun keeps swinging out. I think it's the same dude. It's at the 10-11 second part.
