It's really close to the skin. The first few weeks after mine was implanted I was afraid the incision would open and the pacemaker would pop right out if I moved the wrong way. It wouldn't be difficult to retrieve from a cadaver. IMO

Why not? He is of similar height and build, the ski mask meets the collar so its impossible to see a beard or lack of one. There is clearly some facial hair around the mouth area and its a Caucasian or light-skinned male. Not to mention the possible tattoo on the right wrist is similar to one that is being discussed on other sites as belonging to the SIL.

What proof do you need? The LE has information, probably much of it is not shared with us (I hope not because we don't need to tip off the real people involved in this event). I don't have proof of when I leave and return home. And I doubt many others do as well because it's a daily occurrence that we are not filmed every minute. MOO

Well proof that LE isn't buying the story either can be found in the amount of searches and requests for witnesses and footage around AG house. They wouldnt be doing that unless they doubted their story.

Using the garage instead of going anywhere near the front door suggests that someone didnt want to appear on the front door camera. Also the short time between opening and closing doesn't leave much time for a woman like NG, described as being invariably of low mobility to go inside or be brought inside before the individual who dropped her off would presumably drive away.

It can't be denied that if she had been brought home and walked to her front door it would have helped clear AG and SIL. But because that didnt happen we have to continue to ask why.

my family uses the garage to get into our house about 80% of the time. that way we can leave the front door locked and don't need a key.

it takes me probably 20 seconds max to get the garage door open enough to go under it, make it to the door into the house, and press the clicker that then closes the garage door. two minutes is plenty of time for someone less mobile to do the same.

it's totally fine to suspect the SIL until we have enough evidence not to, but i don't know that anything you're presenting is solid enough for this level of certainty.

I don't see him going anywhere. It's just not a good look, at all. We also don't know the full story here, as this is completely one sided.

Looking into this lab though, they are really good.

DNA Labs International (DLI), located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

They have advanced techniques when it comes to touch DNA, and also do IGG analysis.

Wouldn’t the glove have been found on the first day if it was inside NG’s home. Curious about the delay to test if info is true.

So the Sheriff gets to make these decisions? If it happened prior to the FBI’s involvement, or there is other evidence already at the FL lab that might be comparative, an argument might be made for using it. I need more information. I would think that the FBI and this case where the director personally showed up would have been able to put this at the top of the pile. If a decision was made with both agencies on board, okay. If this is a pi**ing contest between the FBI and the local Sheriff, that stinks.

RH goes on to say some not very nice things about Sheriff Nanos and obviously has no problem public ally criticizing him.
Yet paying close attention to Sheriff Nano's words and actions throughout this investigation this is not at all surprising to hear from someone who knew him well.

I mentioned Mr Hasagar a few pages ago (although not by name I used 40+ service and fact he was 2IC to sheriff) - he was on STS talking similarly, sounds REALLY bad there IMO. Another ex-LE Kurt has been equally outspoken. I believe them. The 'glove' example will be a small portion of issues that will be come out, IMO. Nanos won't recover from this, again MOO.

Still, he'll have plenty of time to enjoy Ball games... every cloud

I was wondering about that. The AB leak about the SIL being ‘a likely prime suspect’ came to mind. AB said she’d known the ‘impeccable’ source for a decade and the person was a high-level LE official.

She was very sure, at that time.

I wonder if AB believed the high level LE, and the LE person believed they were accurate. At the time, I thought it could mean someone SIL knows.

It seems it’s been a while since AB has brought that theory up. Maybe she was asked to let investigation run its course.

At this point, it seems LE would know if family was involved. So I really don’t think it’s SIL.

What is interesting is they have raised the reward to $100,000. Significantly more than the 1 Bitcoin the most recent ransom request asks for. If they really had info, you would think they would take the $100k instead.

Money talks. They need a break and a lower criminal or associate might snitch for that. I was always surprised they didn't up the reward (SG could help through back channels though I understand w/ a supposed ransom she couldn't offer a reward herself risking the optics of that).

The 1 Bitcoin request for info was more in line with the $50K reward they had initially, but the letter was suspect in that you have to provide the info to get the reward (duh). The language of being a "national snitch" etc. does jive with a lower criminal element or one that associates in those circle.s

Agree. I commented on this previously. Pacemakers don’t function as tracking devices. So, unless the perpetrators weren’t aware of this fact, there would be no reason to surgically NG’s pacemaker for that purpose.

Huge optics move denying the FBI from moving the evidence to Quantico. Agencies, especially the Feds hate this type of stuff which is why you have sources putting this on blast.

Especially from a controversial elected Sheriff who has admitted to misteps of the case in his own press conferences and has been getting a lot of heat. The feds will not take that stance well, considering he's being called the keystone cops in the media.

What does it matter if both labs are just as good? Why is the FBI leaking to the news their grievances unless they too are lost and want to finger-point. Look personally? I think both teams have made some mistakes from what I can see...and there have been well publicized issues with the FBI as well recently. Maybe instead of finger-pointing they could have concentrated on doing a top to bottom thorough search on the residence and property when they arrived instead of also it seems missing things that should not have been overlooked (like the roof search and the removal of the other camera) or taking 2 weeks to get google to give them the footage they had. My POV is Local LE and the FIB are both wrong and have made mistakes and need to just concentrate on solving this or calling in some agents who can get somewhere, instead of making a case to the press for a failure. JMO

Why is this even a point of discussion? There is absolutely no reason to suspect anything close to this happened. I think it’s more likely that a javelina kidnapped her than someone randomly excising a pacemaker for unknown reasons.

By the way, from what I've read, the "100" on the chart doesn't represent the number of actual searches that day. It just means that within my chosen date parameters (January 1 to January 30), 100% of the searches for "Nancy Guthrie house" fell on that single day (January 21). Edited to add: the country is probably not too useful though, because of VPNs (IMO / MOO)
