I keep thinking about the 2 minute opening and closing of Nancy's garage door when family supposedly dropped her off that night. Two minutes is a very short time for her to get into the garage. And then to go in inner door into her house. Was that door unlocked? How could the family know whether she got into the actual house in that two minutes time frame? JMO
Sorry about these thoughts compiled during travel.
It was reported that the SIL said he watched her walk in to house. I do think she could navigate that in less than 2 minutes- the garage is basically 20/22 feet long. Without anything to go on- no word on break-in, I wonder if the perp slid in to garage from behind that bush to the immediate left when it was opened? Typically a garage is opened before arriving directly in front of it.
I just did a little walking, baby steps slowly from 10 feet in front of garage- it took 26 seconds to reach the entry to house door in the back, like Nancy’s set-up.. Unless the SIL did the backing-up maneuver to leave her in front and then drive off, he may have been doing that positioning as she walked in and did not see the perp follow her in. There is also a right side back of garage door out to what I assume is the covered patio. Possible ingress point. Maybe he caught Nancy as she opened the door to the house or maybe she didn’t immediately lock the door and he followed her in. That would imply perp/s were in the house several hours before somehow absconding. I’m of the opinion that Nancy struggled and put up a fight. She seems so independent despite her disability and a survivor by nature.
The mind twisting, parsed nature of all the communications, from all parties, is frightening in itself.
The supposed timeline shows the garage door opened ar 9:48 and closed at 10.00, correct? The only way I know that it could be reported with such precision is by way of a security system that logs when doors and garage are opened and closed. Maybe some windows.
And it would make sense for her ro have a security system. It would also explain why she didn’t have a Nest subscription to record videos, which would be redundant. It would explain the “camera” being “disconnected” at 1:47 but then showing what was initially described as “movement” at 2:12, when it later turned out the mask guy was there. The security system was turned off or disabled, it seems to me at 1:47 but the camera/s were still operational so it was someone’s job to go break it.

The Sheriff said at one point early on. to paraphrase. that Nancy was asleep or in her bed when she was abducted and that it was a disturbing scene.
There is a little card to the right of the front door that may be the standard “home security” warning notice, maybe.
Savannah’s husband is an immensely wealthy political and finance power player who has long run an international “crisis communication and management” firm. Go figure the bizarre, strange semantics and linguistic structure of their messaging.
How can a Sheriff be summarily dismissed and replaced with “ our own people”, according to the latest news flash. What does that even mean?
I feel sorry for the Sheriff, IMO caught up in some inexplicable creepy dynamics.
Why in the world is TMZ Harvey to go to guy, my gosh.
IMO MOO all as I watch this tragic Machiavellian drama scheme from afar. Truly sad and sorry that Nancy has so unjustly and brutally been used for nefarious purposes.

Bbm.
THIS ^^^
Esp. the bolded.
We have seen some carefully-worded statements; but nothing after that.
And again LE have said they aren't prepared to clear anyone yet.
Imo.
Have there been any statements from the SIL? I may have missed them.

I'm not sure how reliable or relevant this is, but a quick search of the term "Can you trace bitcoin" on Google Trends shows that there was a hit, in Arizona, on the 20th January. Over the last 30 days there were hits for the same search term in only 6 of the 50 states in the USA. The only search that appeared prior to NG's disappearance? The one in Arizona.

Apologies of this has been posted previously, or can be easily debunked, I just thought it was interesting.
Important to note:

2 separate Google Explorer searches that could be related to Nancy Guthrie case. The above and this one. Just about the same date this year.
Does anyone have any info on why Nancy’s name would have been searched so many times before the incident - from places outside of her state? I am not seeing a lot of info about this and … idk it seems kind of important? Would love to hear your thoughts!
” Outside of state” VPN?

This might rile some people but I'm one who still thinks that the SIL is a suspect. IMO, he either did the act himself or had help in getting it done. There had to have been a motive for this kidnapping/abduction. I'm thinking she took an Uber and showed up unexpectedly. There has been a post saying that a pizza was ordered. I think she had something she wanted to say and it did not go very well with her daughter and son-in-law. He has admitted taking her home. I do not see where anyone else had a motive.
I think she told them that the "the bank was closed" and that they were not getting anymore money from her. I have tried and just cannot see where the daughter and son-in-law could afford a $650,000 house. She was a poet and he was a biology teacher and a bass guitarist in a local band. The math just does not add up to me. Maybe someone else sees it differently, I don't.
Emphasis mine.
Was going to say; well, it could've been a random burglary that went wrong, but it falls apart when one thinks that they had to lead or carry Nancy from her house.

Let's say it WAS a random thief.
How would they know for certain a family member wouldn't show up, even late at night ?
IF Nancy's security cams were able to be viewed (for her own safety) by a family member, that member would see someone at her door with bad intentions.

Again re. the bolded : Who had a motive ?
LE have said nothing was stolen.
Looks like removing Nancy was the main objective.
Unsure if the bitcoin/ransom demands are related or just uninvolved people causing trouble.
Omo.

Surely LE is well aware the media circus that would follow SWAT deployment. Could they have POI under surveillance already? Waited until he was away from home to divert media attention there? And staging at the house awaiting search warrant?

I imagine they can follow them if nothing else.
They likely have LE posted at the entrances/exits to the neighborhood. If innocent, this person might not necessarily aware of LE staging outside the neighborhood. If guilty, that person is surely following media and likely the person knows what is going on. MOO

JMO she is probably on something like metoprolol, Eliquis… not taking either for the time she’s been missing is putting her at risk for an event…doesn’t mean one will happen. Which I why I’m hopeful she is still safe, but very sad that if she is she is likely terrified.

I wonder if he’s wearing a Tyvek suit under the mask which is why he looks distorted/lumpy/bulky.
Agree re pills, length of time without. Too long without meds is very bad. Even if they could ever get off, it’s never good to go cold turkey.

This is feeling ominous, on the one hand so hopeful there is some breakthrough today, but have a pit of my stomach uneasiness that I hope that breakthrough doesn't have a double sting IYKWIM for Savannah

They likely got him under surveillance as soon as they knew he was a viable POI. They would not want to take a chance of him, for example, escaping to Mexico :). JMO

They put a down payment of just under half the purchase price. Both work, it’s doable imo.
Plus they sold their other house for a 200+K profit presuming they paid none of it off. Where I am from a family with their jobs would be thrilled to only have a 400K mortgage IMO

Having googled DE to see what he looks like and similarities with suspect.... yes, absolutely plausible.

As a drummer too I am disappointed!

It's 1am here so I should go to bed rather than refresh this thread for the next two hours.

Yep. They’re also in their 50s. We’re not privy to their entire employment and financial history, they’ve probably been saving for decades.

Honestly, the SIL ship has long sailed for me. That’s not him in the footage.

You can’t discreetly hatch a plot for someone else to kidnap and murder your MIL without LE finding out.

I know AB keeps insisting it’s him but I’ll remain skeptical until she offers up any kind of proof or explanation, which she hasn’t been able to do yet.
They also owned a home in another state, sold it to move close to NG. Probably used proceeds of prior home to apply to this one. JMO

So it's possible SG's husband wrote the televised pleas for the family and not the FBI ?
