It's interesting how the Sheriff described Nancy's pacemaker app disconnects from her phone at 2:28 a.m. He said "app" disconnects correct?

To disconnect a pacemaker app (such as Medtronic MyCareLink Heart, Abbott, or similar) from your phone, you should follow the specific unpairing procedures within the app to ensure data syncing stops properly. Because these apps are used for monitoring medical data, they often require deliberate steps to disconnect.

If someone deliberately disconnected her pacemaker app from her phone then someone had to have been accessing her phone to do that. No?

Does anyone else think that the lack of a recent press conference could potentially be hurting the investigation? I feel like clear and updated messaging from LE as to status and how public can best assist is needed. Also, a presser reaches different demographics who may be more watchers of cable news vs online.

This entire investigation seems to be so hapless. I can't imagine how frustrated Savannah must be. It feels to me like her sister and brother in law must have something to do with this, based partly on how they behaved immediately after it happened, and partly on his gambling debts, as well as him being the last one to see her alive. Does anyone know---are they staying nearby? I read that they left their house last week.
Interested in ‘how they behaved immediately after it happened’ could you please expand?

I was happy to see that she had put a little bit of makeup on etc. To me it was a sign that she was feeling maybe the slight bit better and perhaps coming out of the shocked stage a bit. Some of the comments judging her about wearing makeup etc. are just deplorable. IMO, people who make such judgemental comments like that are just plain ignorant and probable very unhappy.
It is also a sign of strength to male kidnappers? A message that she is not weak, helpless, giving in or giving up?

I think so. The Sheriff said 'we will update when we have something 'material' in the case'. Then I notice he's been holding quite a few 'pressers' with various media. Saying 'it could take months, years to find Nancy', isn't on, simply because it's a 'negative', people will just think 'heck!'. Even if he thinks it, he shouldn't say it. Very unhelpful. I think he's out of his depth with this case.

We have no idea of what information the family members and close friends of NG have divulged to investigators about their possible suspicions as to who has done this or why. These people are the priviest to Nancy's habits, fears routines and miscellaneous contacts, as well as her medical conditions. We have a rough sketch of these things. I'm sure that with regard to suspicions, they want to be careful about throwing names out there, that could ruin peoples lives and reputations. JMO

If this is what happened, isn't it foolish of this guy to alert the door bell camera that he was on the premises while he is still trying to gain entry?

I think he thought the doorbell camera was already disabled when he arrived on her porch at 2:12 a.m. Doorbell cam disconnects at 1:47 a.m. I think it startled him when he noticed that it was somehow still capturing him. Which it was per a sensor. This is why he looked for something to help remove it. I now think that he grabbed the lantana to help remove that camera since lantana pieces were broken on the porch.
He may have gained entry after he removed the camera from the bracket. Just a possibility.

I don’t think the sheriff was ever implying the pacemaker to have been deliberately disconnected. It seems to have disconnected because she traveled too far from her phone for the signal to reach — if you’ve ever worn wireless headphones and walked away form your phone this has probably happened to you.

It’s possible it was deliberately disconnected or the Bluetooth was manually turned off but I think it is more likely it just went out of range.

The way I read that was "Maybe it’s weeks or months or (even) years from now.

Not the same as that truncated quote in the headline IMO.
This is how I read it too. I also thought he meant it in a “We will keep looking as long as it takes whether that’s days, weeks or years” sort of way rather than “we think it will take years”. MOO.

imo no. Most likely she became separated from her phone at that time, so the connection was lost.

NewsNation is showing the traffic stop video.

A white van is being shown.

With respect, I'm sharing my view on images and articles about NG's grandchildren. SG and her husband are wisely shielding their children from the turmoil and media circus in Tucson. AG and her husband are local, but they're limiting their child's exposure as best they can. Beyond privacy concerns, reporting on the grandkids or their whereabouts impacts their security. Nancy may have been targeted because of SG's celebrity or resources. Whoever kidnapped Nancy or someone inspired by this crime could target a grandchild.

I want to thank you all for the responsible discussions of charged topics like this crime. The ground rules ensure WS is victim-friendly. Discussions here are driven by responsible mainstream media reporting, which make participating worthwhile and productive. With crimes that generate wide public interest like this one, the benefits of the TOS are readily apparent. Reliance on responsible media outlets means our discussions extend grace and space to Nancy's grandchildren. I appreciate that and just wanted to say so. Good night.
A good point for just focusing on responsible news organizations. Safety of the families.

Right, more DNA to find.

I missed part of yesterday, who owns the grey Range Rover, taken from the burger place?
How does the RR fit into yesterday’s raids?

Thanks in advance. jMO
After just watching the Brian Entin update from yesterday, it was reported the driver of the RR is connected to the house that was raided. Watch the video that was posted by sdmike1974, extremely informative.

Most interpretations are that probably happened because she moved out of the phone's bluetooth receiver range, as she was taken away and the phone left behind.

eg:
"Epps emphasized that this disconnection is most likely not an indication that Guthrie’s heart stopped, but rather that she moved out of Bluetooth range from her phone, which was found at her residence."

You are correct he didn't state someone deliberately disconnected it I am just interested in how he described it as the "app" disconnected.
It may be how you state that Nancy just traveled a certain amount of distance away from her phone.

When I looked into it, it said to disconnect a pacemaker app often requires deliberate steps to disconnect because it is a medical app.

Yes. The long delay in movement was in waiting for RR driver to show up. jmo

Good morning,
I keep asking myself why was Nancy removed from her home? Why not just leave her there? Was it because she could identify the suspect(s)? This is what I think, but trying to understand what would be other reasons.

so when exact time does anyone think the pic of him without the backpack is? Is it after he kidnapped her? Did she perhaps rip it off him and he went back thinking some of the stuff came out? I'm totally confused with the backpack on and backpack off. I know the cam disconnected at 1 47 .. and it seems the stills are 2 12 ... so what time is the still outside without the backpack. I still have not got that down

As sleuthers we all would like regular updates, but as detectives, those from the Sheriff & FBI do not need to provide the public with anything. They ask for the public's help when they need it, and provide the bare minimum of information.

The Sheriff is not blessed with super public relations skills, and he receives so much hate after each press conference that he mostly stopped giving them.

They have asked the public for tips, and have reported receiving many thousands of tips. It was reported that 18,000 tips came in during the days following the release of the masked man CCTV.
Unfortunately, more than 99% of the tips lead nowhere - but they still have to check each and every one.

They have asked the public for camera footage - my understanding is that they're not receiving as much as they'd like, primarily because most of the houses in Nancy's area are some distance from the road and have vegetation blocking the view.

We all want to know what's going on, and the information vacuum is frustrating. But it is what it is.
