Additionally, we have no idea it it's a real gun.

I've been using, collecting, working with, and shooting firearms for over 30 years and I can't tell from the dark, blurry footage what handle and profile that is (most assume small frame semi auto). Many gun guys speculating on gun forums, including professionals are also in disagreement.

Since there was no known discharge at the scene or even brandishing of the said gun on video footage it is just as possible that it is not a live firearm, that it is a replica or airsoft, etc.. This would jive with the masked man seemingly using it for intimidation and coercion with his front and center strange version of appendix carry as he approached the front door. It would also jive with the entire cheap get-up, where it seemed like he threw together what he could get easily.

It would also jive to me why he did not seem suited to actually use the firearm if he had to (defending homeowner, security guard that spotted him) based on it almost falling out of the mismatched holster, and the notion that he couldn't even draw effectively or put his finger in the trigger guard with his clumsy PPE gloves. And if he knew the target was an elderly lady living alone in a secluded neighborhood he would not be worried about resistance that would require the use of an actual firearm.

So many unknowns and assumptions still in this case.

Agree. Could be an airsoft due to the purported flood lights being damaged (shot them out?). Looks weird enough from the images that it could also be a stun gun of some sort.

I mean no harm. Nanos said this was a targeted kidnapping. The man's DNA is not in Codis. The FBI are looking for men who the gun shop owner said had unusual names.

And it is not a theory just pulled out of thin air.

“Over the past four years, thousands of Iranian national have been documented entering the United States illegally and countless more were likely in the known and unknown got-a-ways,” Scott wrote.

“Though we have not received any specific credible threats to share with you all currently, the threat of sleeper cells or sympathizers acting on their own, or at the behest of Iran has never been higher,” he added.

Scott asked border agents “to remain hyper vigilant and continue to take appropriate precautions, while maintaining a heightened level of situational awareness both on and off-duty.”

Nancy lives very close to the border.

There is no evidence of terrorism in this case.

Many came to escape the repressive regime in Iran.
If sent by the Iranian govt, they would come to "muck things up". You would see them in major population centers doing things like possibly infiltrating swayable target groups to get them to support the IR. Since they don't have Visas, I doubt that actual spying would be much of a success.

There is no evidence of terrorism here.

I don't see any announcements about TMZ receiving a new letter.

I view it as the opposite (stalker/casing a specific target) since he ultimately did what he did and to whom he did.

JMO.
I guess it does make sense that he would case the place first, true.

From the beginning there was no search for NG. The sheriff and FBI were centered on Who Done It with inside the home searches, outside the home, cameras, family interviews, computer searches and a Door Dash guy miles away. Nothing to find the missing NG. Why no organized Tucson searches? No community involvement.

This has been one of the strangest pieces of this case to me. I just don’t understand it.

After posting my in depth analysis of the No-Backpack image, someone bought me Guardianship.
But I don't know who.

Thank you so much, kind person :)

Here is something else I was looking at, mask man's shoes appear to have a distinct two tone black/white sole:

If you mean the bearded gun shop guy in the video interview, he doesn’t say 40 names, he says three sheets with six to eight names and photos on each, so somewhere between 18 and 24.

JMO
And they are not necessarily "persons of interest" probably a random mix with a few of interest thrown in. jmo

Possibly he stood there, where he had the option of a quick exit, to activate the door camera and see if he could see any reaction like a light going on inside the house, or a dog barking. It's possible then he thought the house could be empty and went to gather his gear from a vehicle, taking his gun in case he was wrong. MOO

Yours is the most likely explanation for the no-backpack image.

Yes correct. He was not definitive he says specifically 3 pages with "about 6 to 8 names each". It is my understanding that this is where the "40 names" originated from and the press kept running with it and asked Nanos about it the other day. So for reference I kept referring to it as such. Plus that's what the poster I was replying to also linked with the "40 names", but you are correct that based on what the LGS owner said it is "about" 18-24.

Yes, I'm trying to figure out why this would be.

It is curious that the gun show owner pointed out that they were "unusual names." That likely means they were not Hispanic names, which are very common in the U.S., and even more common in Arizona. JMO.

@Mistermagoo Yes, I watched that video. That's not a source on 40 people being tracked by holster purchases. The LGS owner simply said they came with a three page list of approx. 40 names and asked him to check them against gun purchases from the past year. And it does not mean 40 suspects as Nanos clarified the other day. Many speculated only a few names are actually relevant POIs, and the rest are random baselines as with a suspect pool line-up.

There is no source for the list being based on holster purchases, which how would they know since there are many holsters exactly like that sold online and in thrift shops for decades. The Walmart holster is just a guess and we don't know if they traced those purchases, that's what I was asking a source for. What they are asking the gun store owner was to see if the suspect pool list purchased a gun, which is a long-shot. Back-tracing an indistinguishable common revolver holster that's been around and sold for decades will be much harder and they simply do not know if that was the Walmart brand some speculated (like I said I posted the same exact holster sold by another brand online at the popular MidwayUSA).
what video? I posted a screenshot where I circled Harvey from TMZ stating he was told that the 40 pics WERE of people who purchased the holster recently. Here it is again

I’d read/heard the 40 names claim a good couple of hours before the interview was posted, from BE’s tweet breaking the gun shop story IIRC (or it might have been the local reporter, Briana.. I haven’t got a twitter/“X” account, sorry!)
I think maybe each gun shop didn’t get shown all 40, but a different selection of about 20 of the full batch, each including the one or two people LE are actually looking for.

Remember I think LE went back to the house and removed what looked like a camera middle of front of house on the outside? This may be footage from another camera.
JMO but it looks like a camo pattern.

I feel like there were no organized ground searches in Tucson where the public was involved because the sheriff came out immediately and adamantly stated that this was an obvious abduction and not a case of an elderly woman wandering off. I think that statement alone pretty much put the kibosh on anyone from the public wanting to organize one of those grid type searches you often see take place in the case of a missing person.
