Not thinking that this was derived and planned from Mexico. Could have taken her there after the fact to try to conceal the crime, buy time, and/or thwart investigators, but doubtful this has a foreign-derived component, particularly from a cartel or other organized group.

According to some other posters here per Google - this is not correct. They are saying that just because it shows one search it could have been hundreds of people searching for those people.

The thing about a federal search warrant is that they aren't very easy to obtain. Sworn LEO affidavits and/or unverified accusations/hunches/tips/theories aren't enough to obtain one. If there isn't a compelling reason that also indicates a strong likelihood of a search producing evidence related to a crime, then it isn't likely to be signed off on. Likewise, it has to be specific and not too broad in scope.

I keep thinking back to DJT in the early days parsing his words pretty carefully to fit his understanding of events and what he had been told. When asked if the FBI is there assisting with the search, he specifically honed in that word and very methodically redefined it as solution. 'No not a search. They are going there to assist with the solution', or something similar.

I don't know why he did that, but I would love to know.

Without them, cameras would have recorded the vehicle used – if not NG’s cameras, someone else’s. This isn’t a criticism of the light pollution regulations. In the near-dark conditions of NG’s area, home cameras rely on infrared emitted by the cameras’ own LEDs, and it simply doesn’t reach as far as the street.

That one wasn't the federal warrant. That one was administered via the state if I recall correctly, and it was reportedly an 'exigent circumstances' kind of thing. Still compelling and not wily nily or a small thing for sure, but also not a federal judge signing off on it either. Which is a big deal.

I don't think a criminal profile or things that could be coincidental would be enough for a federal search warrant either. There would have to be specifics and a fairly narrow scope to obtain it.

Mexico doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Why risk trying to smuggle someone over the border if you aren't going to be super outward, direct, and demanding about a ransom? Taking her over the border for any other reason would seem totally illogical and carry way too much of a risk getting spotted trying to transport a kidnapping victim or a dead body(if she was unfortunately already killed) that route.

Lots of pigtrails in that area that aren't ports of entry. 2AM, in the trunk of the car for an hour. Not much risk once they got into Mexico. Nobody is looking for her there, sadly, Might be why there are no pings from the signal sniffer or sightings by the helicopters.

Activity at NG’s home has slowed, most have seen the front door video who are going to look, and the glove found roadside didn’t match DNA found inside the home (nor a hit on CODIS). In addition, a recent communication from someone who claims a connection stated NG was taken to Mexico and there were reports (not sure if confirmed) that LE had contacted authorities in Mexico. So, it seems like BE is just going where there may be something to report, even if only to show those watching what things are like across the border.

On February 2, 2026 when the scene was still a sealed off crime scene by LE before they first released it those lines were visible.

I live in Houston, where most of our crime is derived from the drugs the cartels supply. In fact, my little brother was murdered by a gang that sold drugs for cartels while he was playing video games at a friends house. Don't know why they chose to do a home invasion on that particular house, but they did. So yes, cartel drugs and the violence that they generate is a daily reality for many border state residents.

I still believe this could be a cartel-related kidnapping for ransom, but I also believe this could be a burglary gone wrong. Or it could be any other number of things. The only thing I'm truly sure about is that this crime is BIZARRE and that we should all feel free to post our theories as long as they don't violate TOS.

I know you'll probably believe what you choose, and fear motivates us to believe what makes us feel safer -- but this is from my fast Google search and is just one of many studies:

I thought of it being cartel-related at the beginning because of a person possibly owing them money. I grew up not far from Houston. It’s far from the border. Tucson is so close. If cartels can operate in Houston, they can and do operate anywhere.
