SO crazy. Even though I tend to believe it was a planned kidnapping, these are the type of points that start making me think the other way. Let's be blunt here. It is an 84 year old woman. She would not be too hard to control, imo. We know the perp(s) have a gun. It should be as easy as holding the gun and telling her that they are taking her. They can even tell her that we are gonna be holding you for ransom, please grab any medication that you will need, I mean, it is an 84 year old woman. The fact that it wasn't as simple as that, and there is actual blood at the scene, when again it should be a fairly easy situation to control, makes me start thinking the other way.
My mom is 91 she would fight, she would scream she wouldn’t win but she would not go easy.

I thought yesterday’s was claiming to be from the kidnapper again, from the amount that they’re asking for being ~$6 million in crypto, and them directly threatening to harm NG in the new message, rather than just saying time is crucial in saving her, like the “snitch” messages did.

JMO
They have shifted from observer to kidnapper more than once

New person here, very new to this type of theorizing, so JMO it appears the lines are wide and not parallel until the curve in front of the tree in the bottom right of the photo attributed to Page Six earlier (and attached here). At that point they are much narrower although may not be exactly parallel.
Welcome, and so glad you are here to help in Nancy's thread.

That observation you have made about the tracks is very interesting, but we do need an actual link to the source of that attachment.

Cartel problems are real but it's exactly as you described. The whole border/cartel claims anytime something happens here gets ridiculous (however in this case perps fleeing to mexico IMO could be real).
Oh yeah, fleeing to Mexico wouldn’t surprise me at all.

If I was the kidnapper and it went wrong and she dies, I would sack it off as a bad job, I certainly wouldn’t be sending multiple ransom requests to a gossip website creating more attention and evidence pointing to me. The chance of getting any money and also not getting caught is very slim.

At 1:47, CP says investigators told him that he googled NG or her number… which does sort of explain the nexus between him having delivered a package to her (which he thought was a possibility) or something in the weeks prior… if he had searched her address to make the delivery, he may have sent up some red flags. No clue if that’s what actually happened, though.

So I think they’re definitely tracking down leads to that end, but I agree speculation about Google Trends activity is relatively pointless based on how it actually operates and displays data.
My impression from what he said was that CP was saying that LE was telling him they supposedly knew he Googled NG which IMO seemed like a LE effort to get him to confess to something. He seemed perplexed by this because his claim has been that he doesn't know her and would not have googled her. Though he did say he COULD have delivered to her since he is a delivery driver. Isn't that also when he said he told them to "prove it"?

THE SKI MASK

I don't know if anyone has posted much on the ski mask that the Nest cam perp on the Guthrie front porch was wearing, but once the initial shock and terror wore off after I first viewed the video footage, I was intrigued by the SKI MASK.

Just know I do not have any expertise whatsoever in clothing or ski masks, so take this for what it's worth, along with my amateurish presentation. I don't even know if the bit of digging I did, is of any help at all, but these are my observations. My opinons only.

To me, this ski mask has a 1970s- 1980s vintage vibe. I say this only because of the lighter, contrasting yarn color outlining the eye and mouth openings. I could be completely wrong on this, but I haven't been able to find SOLID COLOR masks that have the contrasting color outlining feature in newly made ski masks. One exception I found is the Line brand ski mask in black. However, the Line logo would have to be hidden in some way to not be visible in the perp footage.

If you search places like Walmart and Amazon, none of the solid colored knit ski masks that I could find, had contrasting colored stitching around the eye and mouth openings.

The next possible odd feature, might not exist at all, but to me, it looks like there is some kind of button or snap between the eyes at the bridge of the nose in the perp photo. There is a shine there that makes me think that this is a button or snap. Most all of the ski masks I've viewed lately, are just stitched together with yarn or thread, in that area between the eyes. If there is indeed a button or snap, that's a feature that I, at least, have not seen before. That doesn't mean there aren't plenty of others out there. And maybe it's not a button or snap at all. It could be stitching, since the photo is grainy.

To summarize what I noticed about the ski mask, MOO:
1. Commercially made factory knit 3-hole mask
2. Solid color, no stripes or visible logos
3. Contrasting yarn color around the eye and mouth openings
4. Possible odd button or snap between the eyes at bridge of nose. I might be wrong on this feature due to grainy photo.

Note: if I have messed up the pics or links, I will edit this post. Thanks for reading.

What do we make of this? Does BE think/have info that the theory about NG being taken to Mexico is solid? Or that anything in Tucson is a dead end/no new leads to follow there (from a journalistic standpoint)?
I think it’s good to include Mexico and Mexican border patrol in search, spread the word, broaden area.

Because Nogales is right nearby, there could be a Mexican connection somehow.

Perhaps, someone who lives in Mexico but crosses everyday to work in Tucson, so AZ Drivers license search won’t show this person. Just an example.

BTW It’s not about any particular group,
it’s the possible connection to NG.

Maybe, the person worked at NGs house on a repair or maintenance job. Or the person is in the drug trade.

Just thinking and JMO

This sounds like a PR/legal department response to alleviate public concerns and/or criticisms over the ease and speed with which Google spits out what many folks perceive (naively) to be private information. Even if it is public information, it doesn't necessarily mean Google has an implicit or explicit right to publish and make it available to anyone who searches for it on their platform. I imagine that might need to be determined, particularly if making the information readily available could've contributed to a crime. Governments are protected if they make information like that available to anyone - businesses may or may not be.

The Google searches of NG and SG, if from the same source and especially considering their dates and proximities to the crime, aren't likely coincidences.

JMO.

Notice how they also state that it is not "definitive" evidence meaning that it could still be a possibility. IMO.

The lastest on X is that the mask from Walmart can only be ordered online and shipped to your address. Hoping that helps narrow that down for them.

Interesting.
How many people would actually buy this particular mask and for what purpose other than some sort of criminal activity? Also, it looks incredibly warm. How uncomfortable is this thing while wearing it?
I would pull it off after mere minutes 😅

You’re right! Different crypto token, similar amount. Would like to know about writing style and whether it matches. Levin had a lot to say about the structure and writing style of those notes.

There’s a documentary on Netflix called Lover Stalker Killer where a woman named Shanna "Liz" Golyar hid her IP address and masked her identity while stalking and impersonating Cari F. by using a combination of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), proxy services, and specialized communications apps.
“The suspect used VPNs, proxies, and apps to schedule texts and hide their IP address. The successful prosecution, owing to years of work by dedicated public servants in two states, relied heavily on digital evidence to prove a premeditated, no-body homicide.”

A digital forensic investigator named Anthony Kava wound up writing a program that helped to solve the murder. Fascinating and unsettling documentary. The investigator even did an AMA on Reddit.

When it comes to the ransom communications I think some apps like this may be being used, obviously along with VPNs by the person(s) that have NG. And I know they’re gonna find these people and get Nancy back one way or the other.

Also i can imagine a 100K in reward money goes a long way in Mexico so someone may speak up

There are plenty of people that work outdoor jobs that would wear this mask in extremely cold weather. However, this brings us to a very interesting point. NO ONE in Tucson would be buying this mask online intending to use it in cold weather because it doesn't ever freeze there, according to Google.

I think the ransom messages were sent to news stations local to Tucson first but didn't garner widespread attention so then they started sending them to TMZ, which to me weeds out certain age groups (i.e. those above 50, although I could wrong about this). The first ransom message was received by KOLD news station at 5pm on Monday Feb 2nd (the day after she was reported missing).

Possibly also for a Halloween costume?

Was someone living in or staying at the guest house on NG's property?

While that could be the case, it’s interesting to look back on now that people are speculating about Google search terms. We already know police had a search warrant for the property, so clearly had more evidence than a tip phoned in. Police could have come up with a seemingly convincing bluff… but also may have actually just investigated the stuff people are saying they should be investigating…
