Suspected abduction? What else could it possibly be? Even if she was dead or dying at the abduction surely it’s kidnapping regardless.

Merriam-Webster defines abduction as "to seize and take away (a person) by force". CAN you take away a person by force if they are deceased? I mean, what are you forcing if the body isn't objecting? Serious question, I don't know the answer.

I wonder, if kidnappers had directly contacted the Guthrie family early on, with ransom demands, (prior to the news media ones), would the public be told about that? IMO, the TMZ ransom notes could be useful distractions for other things going on.

B)This statement isn't even true. FBI does not just take over a case from local authorities Does the FBI take over the Investigation. It doesn't matter if the family asks or not. I mean, they can ask if they want, but it's not going to matter.

IMO, Pima county wants to maintain control of the investigation. FBI is trying to help. Some local authorities say "Here, FBI, you do it." but this doesn't seem to be one of those locales. There is so much click bait out there that, IMO, taking it all with a grain of salt is probably wise.

I agree 100%. Readers are wise to be skeptical of "facts" in sensationalist media and doublecheck what they report against responsible MSM sources. Tabloids profit because sensationalism sells, IMO. Outlets like the NYP don't let facts get in the way of a good story. It has entertainment value, but not news value IMO.

This video was posted on the ring app earlier today. The OP says the video was recorded last night (Feb 18). This is 0.4 miles from Nancy's home. An individual was spotted then, further in the thread, you will see a video of a police cruiser coming around about 10 minutes later and making a u-turn.

Idk what to think anymore. The amount of people and vehicles that are camped out on NG road or near her home and that have been making videos of how dark it is and how they’re gonna go search for her, or “have permission” From the homeowner to be where they are..or looking for a place to pee. How does anyone know anymore. This person appears to just be walking through and not doing anything. I’m not saying it’s not suspicious and they shouldn’t be there. I’m just saying it’s difficult to discern. Making things so much harder for LE and that community I’m sure. MOO

You're welcome. I agree that it could be wheels from a recycle bin or a trash can. However, a new poster pointed out that the tracks look like they get narrower as the tracks wind around in front of the tree.
Another poster pointed out where the trash cans and recycle bin were. In and near Nancy's garage area.

It seems like the most convenient place to place the bins would be at the edge of the road on the right side of the driveway.
The tracks are on the left side of the driveway from my understanding.
Maybe Nancy didn't like the bins by her mail box on the right side?
That street is totally black at night and the neighbors are a good distance away too. I don't see why he would hesitate to park on the street in case Nancy's cameras captured his vehicle.

Hmm, could have also been a single track measuring wheel from LE on the way in and on the way out, too. The only reason I was thinking greens can is because my yard maintenance workers sometimes put mine on the right side of my driveway, sometimes on the left side of my drive way and sometimes at the side of my house no where near my driveway. Though, if someone parked in the section between driveway entrances at NGs house, I don't think the house cameras would catch it at all. The brush is pretty dense there.

But in hindsight, no one is making sure no one steps on those tracks and they have no evidence tag, so probably not even related.

Unless DNA pans out, I’m not sure if this will be solved any time soon. Sadly I think that if Nanos had some good leads he would be doing interviews about them. With Kohberger, LE was mostly silent while working through their investigation. There were a lot of rumors but unless investigators were asking for the public’s help with a piece of information, they were just busy on the case. They owe the public nothing, unless they feel they are in danger.

Sadly, I don't think they have much to go on. I think this will be another Missy Beavers type case.

I’m still hopeful that dna from inside the home will be able to be separated and used in codis and eventually genealogy if no match is made. But it’s going to take some time and hopefully that dna is of the perp. I have much higher hopes for that Dna to be of the perp than the gloves found miles away.

I really hope we aren’t here 10 yrs from now, but if the dna isn’t viable I could definitely see it going that way.

This is the Brian Entin interview with Maureen O'Connell and another lady who talk about the process of collecting DNA at about 15:00, as well as comments about perps using toilets and finding fingerprints under the toilet seat. It made me question if urine can be tested for DNA.

I think it can.
I know in the Jeffrey MacDonald case they could tell which child had wet their martial bed that night and it was determined that it was not the youngest child Krissy like Jeff had claimed, it was the older child Kimberly.
