Agree but Maybe they used Nancy’s car sometimes or had a ride share thing going on, I guess one could also Uber around the area as well, would be expensive to do that daily imo, but idk, some people do it all the time. Maybe TC had a motorcycle or something. No idea. Moo
He may have been out with the car at the time she planned to go to AG's, so she decided to just Uber it. jmo

Ive said as much many pages back and I do believe it’s very possible it’s one of her students involved, perhaps even acting out some form of AG art (oracular writings) and also a possible U of A connection involving some resentful perceived nepotism on the perps part. However it’s MOO and not a very popular one.

I don't feel like we have seen strong enough evidence to rule any theory out at this point. I've been trying to keep up with the discussion but I'm not doing a great job, so I apologize for missing that you had mentioned this idea earlier on!

Very interesting theory. This had not crossed my mind once, but now has me pondering. Wonder if in questioning AG, they asked about any potential rifts in the past. You would assume so.

I’m not sure why he wouldn’t just say it’s been processed and released back to the family like he did with the house. Especially since it would have fit with his statements that the family had been cleared.
Perhaps DNA testing is the holdup because they only have mixed DNA samples and genetic genealogical testing can take weeks.

OTOH, there must be no allowance for returning the car while waiting for the lab.

BTW, I learned this morning that CLEARED does not mean exonerated.

It's an investigative status.

CLEARED means the evidence does not support charging someone.

It's easily understandable that they would keep the car of the convicted felon if they have not cleared him yet.

It's harder to understand them keeping a family member's car, for much longer, when LE has already said he was cleared. I find it odd.
Yeah, you and me both, Katy!

BBM

So does this pertain only to TC?

Ohh no worries about that at all. It’s just something I had mentioned. I’m not
Looking for credit or anything. I said many many many pages back and it’s lost in here somewhere. I just think, again, it’s got more to do with AG. That there’s a larger local connection to this crime at play here. Moo

The car thing is so odd (especially the wording around it being involved in the investigation) that it makes me wonder if in fact when AB asked LE about Annie’s car that they had a misunderstanding and thought she said ‘Nancy’s car’.

It’s extremely odd. I can’t reconcile it. It’s just been bugging the mess out of me all morning. Jmo

And Tracy Walder, a former FBI agent and CIA officer, gave her take on what appears to be an antenna in the man’s pocket — and whether it’s a walkie talkie or a signal jammer or something else.

I agree it's odd but I recall they towed all of the Idaho victims' cars and kept them for quite some time. Just something to think about.

Everything about this case feels odd to me!

Apart from the obvious reasons (data processing, chain of custody and the rest), it could be that they found evidence that someone messed with that car. Possibly fitted a tracker, damaged the car, or left some kind of threat or note. It seems unlikely, but it’s a remote possibility.

There’s a thread for NG theories that aren’t kidnapping/burglary, and there’s been some discussion there about the possibility of someone other than NG or SG being the target. My hunch is that it’s more about a grudge/revenge/perceived injustice, but I agree that any of the family members could potentially be the target.

I just was going to link the charging documents. Probably been discussed here before but there were no “extra” items included by FBI for details, meaning they didn’t mention anything we didn’t already know about condition of the home. No mention of blood inside.

Derek Callella texted both AC and TC “Did you get the bitcoin, were {sic} waiting on our end for the transaction”.

Data reviewed also shows he called a family member of NG three minutes after the text messages that lasted 9 seconds.

No mention of WHO that family member was or WHAT was said.

Also noting the above calls AG as AC indicating she is married.

When I looked at video of Callella being released from jail back on Feb 12th--my impression was he was rather tall. Definitely thought over 6-'0" tall based on him towering over the lady walking near him.

But then I thought.....what if he is shorter? So looking up his HT from his arrest records-- he is listed as between 5'-9"-5'-10"...medium build. Hmmm. JMO.

Can Derrick Callella be the man on NG's porch? Where was he 1/31/26 to 2/1/26?
I know some of you WSer's are great at graphics......would love to see a facial comparison to the porch man. Eyes, lips etc.

PS...on the video of Callella being released from jail--I notice he made a great effort to keep his right hand inside his pocket at all times and covered/concealed. Possibly hurt smashing floodlights somewhere?

You’re right. He’s definitely deliberately keeping his hand in his pocket the entire time. Wth
