I don't think that's what happened either. Any dealer holding gems worth real money would not be holding them at home. There are secure facilities that specialize in that sort of thing.If I had to come up with an explanation on this point (I don't remotely think this is what actually happened) it could be that if they were a hired goon, maybe they were told to get the gems but if there aren't any in the house, take the owner so they could find out where the gems are but they got the wrong house and didn't know what the owner of the 'gem house' looked like
