Didn’t they say someone turned on the lights inside the house? Someone was ok with lights.

Could you please source the information about lights being on at Nancy's home? Thanks.

Where is Nancy? I can't believe we're still here talking about this - 34? 35? days later 🥺
After reading the shocking numbers of unidentified migrants found every year in Pima County's deserts, i'm hopeful border patrol or some agency will find her. They clearly patrol the region and it seems a likely place to dispose of a body.

Again, I don't think the FBI would coordinate a global media event and have a desperate, grieving, and shocked family go through all of that if they didn't confirm that it was a legitimate ransom demand from the people who took Nancy.

JMO.
Do you think they might have done all that if it was consider just possible, but not confirmed? I do. On the off chance that it is valid, though not confirmed, I would think they'd play to the possibility. Just in case. They might even play to it to see what might surface. Any clue is a good clue. It seems to me that if the family were at all able to do so, they would plead for their family member back whether or not the ransom was confirmed. But that is JMO.

IMO even in a scenario where she was kidnapped for ransom and then died, I think the family would've been willing to pay to get her body back if they had some proof that the ransomers did have her
Definitely. But, if she died, the kidnappers might have freaked out, decided to cut their losses. Ditch the body and try to disappear. If you want to disappear, the first thing you do is stop talking. JMO

She would be right. It doesn't matter why she doesnt want to let any LEO in, she doesn't have to without a warrant. We all want to see the person(s) responsible brought to justice and Nancy returned, but not at the expense of anyone's Constitutional rights.
Exactly. Some people have VERY strong feelings about voluntarily letting LE into their homes. Or she might have had some weed. No telling, but it's her right. The downside for them, in reality, is that refusing makes LE go "hmmmm...."

I think I’d stand outside and have a chat.

It had been said that the blood trail continued off the porch, down to where there may have been a waiting vehicle. It was not just on the porch.
Oh I did not see this fox article???

I would think a ski type mask on underneath the woollen balaclava is a possibility, one of those lycra type you see underneath a motorcycle helmet but not a Halloween type rubber mask with fake teeth
Just a quick Google search for "mesh print celebrity baclava" brings up dozens of inexpensive, effective ways to disquise yourself, without resorting to silicone, or fake teeth, or hair.

Again, I disagree. I don't see the FBI cavalierly discounting a ransom note without good reason. We're sitting here tossing out theories like beads at Mardi Gras. LE has a real and heavy responsibility to try and bring this person home. The original information about the ransom notes were that something in the ransom notes accurately described something at the house that wouldn't be known by a stranger. If that's true, I think they would urge the family to play along until they know more.

There's video showing that the blood trail went down the driveway, and wasn't localised. There was a slightly longer clip (just a couple of seconds longer) but I can't find it now. This is pretty close:
Thanks for this ,I hadn't seen this extended video.. I've followed this case since the beginning and it's amazing I missed it

My perp lives alone or perhaps proximate to his rigid mother who expected him to be an Altar boy in 5th grade. He's possibly an only child. Possibly adopted. He is steeped in literature but stunted by his narrow upbringing and isolated childhood. He probably loves Shakespeare but teaches remedial English in the Community college and maybe a lot if his classes are on zoom.. He has a rich fantasy life. He retreats into books, movies and TV. He is ordinary in life but dreams to be a swashbuckling hero or romantic partner. He has longed for connection and attention that is genuine. His world had become unhinged due to his shy demeanor and need to comply with the morals code of both mom and that of an educator. He's frustrated and normally kind.

Or..he's a complete and total psychopath and picks his nose. You decide! JMO

I think what you see there is the reflection of this sign on N Cer Chica that is right opposite NGs house. If you look at the aerial footage, the front door path points to that area, you can even see the tall cactus in your image. All MOO though.

Now, could that be a shorter vehicle under that reflection? Maybe. But I don't see anything in other clips of the video. (I just added one)

Tiny red circle is alcove entrance, med circle is cactus you can see to the left in your image, large circle is the back side of the sign. All courtesy of Google.
Thankyou for your view . It was just a thought of mine . Can’t hurt to try hey

The crime map just states Larceny (All other). It doesn't specify whether someone was at home at the time of the Larceny.

It also doesn't specify whether the Larceny was committed inside the home or outside the home.
I think this was at the Miraval Resort. And larceny is different than burglary. This is probably a report made on a guest who scammed or tried to scam them.

I’m pretty sure he took off mask and gloves to drive.

Re eyeliner, Brought some Vaseline in car, removes all makeup, wipe off, rinse face with water, wipe with towel.

Sorry to say, he then took NG’s Body to his pre picked out, desert spot. I thought 5-10 miles away. The further out in desert, the more impossible to find. But not so far out that he can’t get home quickly. Returned home, showered etc, before news even broke that NG was missing.
Maybe 3 hours round trip, from home ( started somewhere nearby NG) to back home after crime.

I wonder if LE asked the neighbors about a young man, who is a “night owl”, out at night sometimes. Especially Feb 1.

JMO
A guy I went to high school with wore eyeliner (he called it guyliner) and he looked good with it on. I never was able to wear it without looking like a raccoon.

Regarding porch perp using the lantana plant

Lantana is toxic and can cause breathing difficulties, and can cause extreme burning and inflammation of the eyes on contact with the sap

Why risk this ?

because he used it on the Nest cam , if sap leaked , could Nancy have come in contact with it either from perps gloves or some other way
if it caused her breathing difficulties, she could aspirate blood because of the blood thinners hence the blood in the position it was .

Does it suggest the perp was unfamiliar with the flora of the area or that he knew the plant was toxic

He also had a torch in his mouth ,so removal of outer glove would have to happen before he removed it so as not to intoxicate himself accidentally???
Lantana is not a flora of the area, it's a common, dought tolerant ornamental plant, grown and sold all over the country. It does have small, uncomfortable prickles on the stems, but the only way it's going to hurt you is if you eat the black drupes (seeds) or maybe rub the scratchy leaves on your face. He used lantana because that's what she had growing in the pot. It could have just as easily been mint or petunias or mums.

All of us are obviously only theorizing, since none of us actually know the truth of what has transpired.

But one issue I have is that the Guthrie family did beg, and said they WOULD pay, and yet there is no Nancy.

This IMO suggests that the ransom was a) inauthentic or b) authentic but NG had passed already, and they were trying to finagle the money regardless.

And just plain cruel is what the kidnapper(s) have already proven themselves to be, just by taking her, so personally I expect nothing kindly nor compassionate from them.

Just my opinion, with respect for the opinions of others.
I still think Nancy died before she even left her home. I cannot wait until the suspect(s) are arrested and spend the rest of their lives in prison.

NG must have been ultra frightened. Heart attack is very possible. Interesting the culprits did not walk through the blood. That must mean they did not enter the house after taking her.
They probably wouldn't need to enetr the house after she was removed from it, why would they? My guess is she was carried out feet first, face down, slung over someone's shoulder, blood dripping behind him. The only way there would be bloody footprints is if they backed up.
