An Apple Watch can alert and call 919 if you fall. It can also be used for emergency calling to someone else. I can see an elder wearing it at night. (I’m elder so my comment is not ageism.)
And that is an amazing feature. I bought my Samsung watch for that very reason during Covid. I am notoriously clumsy and felt someone needed to know if I felt and really hurt myself. In her case, I think it would have been considered a necessity. I wear mine to bed every other night because it only needs to be charge every other day. I guess I could just put it on my bedside table but I just don't take it off. MOO

I would agree, but for an elderly lady in NG's condition a smaller gauge like 20 for less recoil. Shooting buckshot with a typical 12 ga and a hardstock might bang up her shoulder and knock her off balance.

A 12 ga w/ double aught buckshot (HD length barrel) would be the best single HD firearm for a newb I'd recommend and the single best deterrent and alarm one could invest in is a decent size protective dog that alerts.

In any case there was no indication in this investigation that NG had any firearms in the home.
I agree with the guard dog recommendation, but personally I prefer a bunch of small dogs that bark up a storm. They are also nigh impossible to bribe, unlike a larger dog. I have 4 toy size dogs and when my mail is delivered thru my front door, it sounds more like about 10 dogs with all of the barking, growling and snarling.

This is where I'm at as well. Just one person. That's why nobody is stepping forward for the reward money.MOO.
I respect your opinion, but question do you think one person could carry Nancy out of her home? Plan to relocate her body somewhere locally?

ok i don't know why but i think i know how.
How did they know garage doors opened at 9:48 and closed at 9:50. Roof camera showing headlights of car, inside garage light coming on etc.
Suspect got into the neighborhood, parked on a road on left side of house (garage side) about 1:40 or so. Walked up to the front door and took the camera off the house at 1:47.
Walked back to car, waited to see if house lights came on or if any activity from camera disconnect. Nothing.
Parked his car in front of the house. Went to the back. Same camera detected a person at 2:12
Got in somehow through the back door. It was reportedly left wide open.
DId whatever happened to NG and put her in the car through the front door and drives away with pacemaker disconnect from wifi at 2:28.
So many blanks to fill in.

Does anyone know about the dog NG supposedly had until recently? I read somewhere that it was a puppy but I don't remember the source.

If so, that might be another avenue to pursue, if someone removed her watch dog shortly before she went missing. ???
Okay, apparently the young black dog shown in some of the family pics belongs to SG, not NG.

A hopeful thought keeps coming to my mind: someone has come forward for the reward with the case breaking tip. But LE needs to button down all the evidence first before the perp is arrested to insure the case is rock solid for court.

No way would they let the public know about the informant in real time lest 1) the perp realizes he's been named and runs, and 2) the informant's safety is jeapordized.

As I said, a hopeful thought...because we haven't had many of those lately.

I tend to think $1m rewards are aimed at family/inner circle who would need to relocate or protect themselves legally if they become a witness by turning someone in.

They also seem to be aimed at fellow criminals who have inside information that could be incentivised to flip for the right price, if desperate/greedy enough.

For some, $1m isn’t worth the risk to their own circumstances, or they trust the devil they know more than law enforcement/justice system.

But mostly, they’re committed to the code of silence that protects criminals from being targeted as snitches.

People with solid morals, ethics and a clear conscience give information up for free.
IMO a person who would take an 84 yr old woman with disabilities and perhaps be knowledgeable of her demise and location of her body is obviously amoral. Doubtful a million reward is going to faze his conscience. If he should come forth, it would be for money rather than feeling bad for SG and family.

My former college wrestling son just lifted me up to a platform so I could watch my grandson wrestle better. He is 6' and 205 lbs. I am 142. Depending on the criminal's physical well-being it's possible one person could have carried her.

It's possible, and yes-- a hope! 🤞

Always found it weird how their are no feet or tire marks anywhere.
Perhaps the perp(s) dragged her on a tarp located in the backpack of Lantana man, once they or he carried her out the front door possibly dead or alive? Then off the front steps/walkway where the blood splatters are located. From there, they/he put her body wrapped in a tarp and dragged her off to who knows where - a waiting car, a neighbor, off into the desert? Somehow Nancy was removed.

About halfway through his report tonight, Brian Entin said that the neighbors who claim their home camera had a glitch during the time their dog woke them up showed him a video of the dog acting strange. (cellphone video? not sure.) He led his owners outside, had his ears up, and was looking toward Nancy's house. Maureen O'Connell asked him, what time did this happen? Brian said, around 2:00. 😲

I thought the neightbor's video glitch initially sounded suspicious, but this dog video that they showed Brian is blowing my mind, and I'm not sure what to think.

(If one of my two dogs woke me up in the middle of the night and dragged me outside, my first thought wouldn't be to record them...so they were quick on their feet.)

Just when I feel like I'm understanding the case a little better another thing comes to light and my brain feels muddled.

Good comments tonight by Brian, Maureen, and Jim Clemente. Both guests said this is not a cold case. Now that I've heard their comments, I have a strong suspicion that the perp(s) are in the same neighborhood.

This is a good theory about the 9:48 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. opening/closing of the garage but I think some other technology is telling them this because no video footage was recovered until February 10th and that was from the front Door nest camera.

Sheriff Nanos revealed a timeline with the 9:48/9:50 garage opening/closing info at the February 5th presser. He also said that those were approximately the times and that he couldn't stress that enough.

JMO, that the Sheriff, FBI, and elusive sources are slowly imparting some truths and some lies. I'm suspicious of most information beyond the early pressers. For this reason, I'm back to wondering why her phone was said to be found in her car. That idea faded quickly but it did exist.

To me it makes no sense to tell the public that the monumental hunt for the Walmart backpack receipt was fruitless, but that the best and the brightest brainstormed to uncover this source called EBay so all hope is not lost!...etc Any statements that seem meaningless, I consider dubious at this stage.

They must be closing in on somebody. I'm crossing my fingers they get this creep off the streets.

They were outside videotaping their dog at 2:00 a.m.?? I know I read that right, but...

Well, I'm stunned.

Because (in my outlandish theory), the reason NG was targeted is to keep someone out of prison for something else that happened years ago.
I want to hear more about your theory, please. :)

All below is supposition.

Something NG said recently made the suspect think she knew something incriminating.

Or NG was just recently questioning or starting to put pieces together in a way detrimental to her/him.

Maybe the suspect didn’t know NG lived close until the video made with SG, and then recognized NG as being in the neighborhood.

I don’t know what triggered her/him to act. But the suspect was worried about facing consequences.

All IMO. (Or maybe in my imagination? Because this case is strange.)
I'm thinking, let's not focus on whether and what she might have known because we will never know what Nancy was thinking (assuming she is no longer with us) but rather the timing. Why now? What triggered this now?
