Well at least this defendant isn't out and robbing and shooting Hispanics because it is Friday and that's when they get paid. :P

I look forward to the guilty verdict and the door slamming shut behind this animal.

Is rockingham nc where Shanita was relocated about 100 miles from where she lived during the murder?

Yes -- Rockingham's population is just under 10,000 peeps and is about 100 miles almost due south of Durham -- on US 1. Good golfing, and an old, closed speedway, "Rockingham Speedway" race track.

Defense atty is very rude, IMO, not allowing the witness to find the testimony in the file she was given. He finally let witness in on the secret page number of what he was talking about but still doesn't give her time to find it.

two thumbs down.

Eva was in the backseat at the ATM during the withdrawal!

Yep -- they went 1st to an ATM in C. Hill and realized they had gotten the daily limit of $700.00, so they drove to an ATM in Durham, tossing her cell phone on the way, & tried to get more money. No dice, but they did get another $700.00 they next day -- then Bank of America shut-down Eve's account.

Yes, she was in the back seat of her car with Atwater, praying & pleading until they returned to C. Hill and proceeded to Hillcrest Drive and she wound up on the residential street where she was shot dead & left there, like an old hamburger wrapper.

Poor Eve. The terror she endured at the hands of these, these zombies. Awful...

That's the thing, CUCKOO. Sheer horror and pure stark fear every minute until she breathed her last. Oh, my. She had to know what was going to happen... That's why I think the Feds had a good case for the DP against Atwater. And Rio knew it, too, IMO.

If anyone does know what the defense said that opened up this testimony about EC's murder I'd love to know. I wonder if the defendant can use it as grounds for ineffectual counsel for a new trial? (that would make me spitting mad)

I don't know -- I think the DT is trying every which way to keep the "bad stuff" out -- trying not to show the violence and primitive-ness of it. They're trying to make him sound less of a monster. It's all they've got, IMO. I hope the jury realizes this.

I wonder if this lady is one of those people who can scan pages and remember them verbatim. That has always fascinated me. Photogenic memory?

I think she is very intelligent & must have a photographic memory. In the Carson trial, she just sat up there & answered questions with full dates, names, etc., etc. This made the testimony quicker and very much more "listenable." It moved and told a story, and she was confident, like now, but not arrogant, etc., at all. A top-notch investigator, I'd say.

I hope Shanita can stay safe.

Now that "they" know she is in Hamlet, NC (another little town), she may have to relocate again, and she doesn't have the Feds to help. I worry about her a lot -- she is vulnerable and so are her children. It's a awful position for a woman like Shanita. I worry about her.

Hope the State will find some way to relocate her again. Philly is still walking the streets (for the time being), plus the "associates" are cause for concern.

Is the defense trying to fortify the State's case?

Excellent -- a big thanks for this one, zoey!!Yay!! I don't see how a trial for PM would be more difficult than this one.... what have they been waiting for? He shouldn't be on the street for one more minute. It is another world we're in here, folks. but that world is only a few miles away -- everywhere around us. (I don't want to sound like a doomsday prepper, I'm not); it's just an eye opener (such good words) for so many of us, IMO. Off to lunch!!

So how did this testimony from the Eve Carson murder get into this trial? I thought it would remain unknown so as not to prejudice the jury or allowed in if the defense inadvertently opened the door thru their questioning?
