First day I've tuned to this trial. What did they say? LOL. Are transcripts out there somewhere? This is almost impossible for a HOH person. I hear a low mumble.

I wasn't going to watch this, haven't gotten past Eve Carson yet. Never will. The crime was unforgivable. She was such a loss to all of us.

Anyway, all of us on WS have a large curiosity bump! Sometimes we just can't help ourselves.

Oh, I'm sure he has learned that the police are not your friends. Note the deference (seemingly sincere, IMO), Philip displayed to the defense attorney.

I suspect he talked that first day, telling the truth. Then perhaps he was threatened or realized he was duped and/or going to end up dead if he cooperated with LE, thus the retraction. I couldn't help notice his angst when they first started to play the interview. He was fidgety shaky.

Agreed on all you said -- but his manner was completely different, and "defer-ent" (not a word!) with Bethea-Shields. Like night & day. And not unexpected by me.

This is a combination of poor audio and different dialects (not sure if dialect is the right word, but YKWIM). Add in mumbling, poor enunciation, speed, and voila! ==> headache and confusion.

(But I really do think I need my hearing tested regardless of this trial.)

That make more sense than what Court Chatter said. I guess none of us were paying attention when the PT was talking to the judge while the jury was out. :shame:

No, my little Lotus Blossom, she's not. Shanita Love (big C sweater) was Demario Atwater's gf at the time of the murders. She was a great witness -- was a respectful & conscientious & truthful witness. She went with Atwater & Lovette while they were stashing Lovette's 25 cal handgun that put 4 bullets in Eve Carson's little body, and she id'd the "baby guage" shotgun that Atwater used to blow a hole in Eve Carson's head in the dark in the middle of an upper-class Chapel Hill residential neighborhood and they left her bleeding & dying in the middle of the street. Shanita made no bones about knowing about the Carson killing pretty soon after it happened, and she knew that Atwater & Lovette kidnapped, robbed and murdered Carson.

Tikoya Maybrey is Atwater's sister. We've never seen her in action... They'll throw her little elbows in the :jail: and she'll prolly get 30 days or something.

I've seen a judge issue a bench warrant & send a Deputy Sheriff out to do his business before, right in the middle of a trial. Hizzoner (a Wake County Judge, can't remember which one, and a Officer of the Court, of course) was m.a.d., and he asked the Deputy to come to the bench and off the Deputy went right then & there. Whew, stoopid is as stoopid duz. What was she thinking??Unfortunate attitood, bless her wittle heart. Yet another one who apparently thinks she is smarter-than-the-average-dumb-fuzz. Tomorrow morning, I'll start watching the county arrest recs for that one. Lickin' my chops for the fun. Never, ever pizz off a sitting judge.
