It's like I said, it's just a different way of viewing life -- incomprehensible to most folks, but it exists, and it's bad, and WTH can be done about it? More education of parents-to-be, spending lots & lots of $$ on kids at risk for gangs, tuff neighborhoods, parents who have too much with which to cope, a cultural thing -- color of skin has NOTHING to do with it -- it's poverty sometimes not always, it transcends income levels but poverty does play a part, too-young parents sometimes, (I am a stark-raving liberal, so don't get me wrong), and so, so many other tangibles & intangibles. It would take several generations, more money than we could ever imagine, and help from taxes, taxes, taxes, and from all levels of private industry, medicine, legal, church, temple, mosques, charities, public & private schools, parents, volunteers, Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs, athletics, the arts, neighborhood improvement, lots of locally involved LE, and about 100 other things. World involvement. Sociologists, psychologists, and, and, and.
What have we wrought?
Mini-rant over but not done...
