Why do you think that Jewels? I think they should be allowed to see transcripts. Actually, I think they should be able to watch video replays. Review after hearing the whole story is enlightening, IMO. It seems we handicap our jurors by making them rely on memory. Things that are pertinent during testimony often don't seem so until later. They ought to be making informed decisions. Also, the testimony was difficult to understand in many instances...very confusing. I want them to have clarity.
Plus, I think review of testimony would benefit the State.
JMO. Our rules of evidence and trial processes may be the 'best in the world' but I still believe it has numerous flaws, and in this age of technology, is somewhat archaic and needs some serious 'upgrades' to assist juries.
