FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Authorities in Cumberland County said Sunday that Special Victims Detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing, endangered Fayetteville woman.

April Love Holmes, 41, was last seen nearly a week ago around 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, according to a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Holmes was reported missing Sunday after she was last spotted along White Ash Drive in south Fayetteville, off Gillespie Street near Ash Road, deputies said.

Before she vanished, the missing woman was seen getting into a brown truck that was towing a trailer. The truck was driven by a man described as 6-foot tall and weighing 250 pounds

The missing photo is not current. The same photo was posted by LE when she went missing in 2025 (located safely in July of 2025). From Official FB page of of Sheriff Ennis Wright of Cumberland County NC (post updated July 24, 2025). It was reported in that Sheriff's missing information last year that April's left arm was crippled, and she walks with a limp. She also has a TBI, child-like behavior and demeanor, and needs to be located immediately.
