That's what crossed my mind when all we get is this squeeky clean portrayal of her. She has to have stirred jealousy or have at least a hint of a dark side.

I think that guy would stick out like a sore thumb in the area where she was found - clothing that type, etc. I hope someone recognizes him asap. Still find this hard to believe that is was just random and not targeted.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — You couldn't escape Eve Carson's presence at the University of North Carolina.

The slain student body president welcomed all incoming freshmen — each and every one — to stop by her office for a chat. She was a member of the school's Board of Trustees and a tournament-winning intramural flag football team.

She had friends in the chancellor's office, friends on the school's top-ranked basketball team and more among the school's 28,000 students.

"She was a bright spot in anybody's day," said Seth Dearmin, a former student body president who met Carson during her freshman year. "She took time to talk to people, to listen to them. She cared about what they were interested in. That's what drove her. She was a completely selfless person."

This is such a tragedy. Eve did so much in such a short time of her life. She sounds like she was a wonderful human being. I feel like such a lazy bum next to everything she was accomplishing every single day of her life. What a senseless, stupid murder. Prayers to her family and her friends. I'm quite certain their lives are turned upside down.

I looked up their hat. It doesn't look like that. I'm going to keep searching.

Can't tell if it's reflection from the B pillar or a letter M. If it is on clothing there may be two people in the back.

The more I look at these photos, the more I think these guy(s) are pretty brazen, stupid or both. if there is more than one, the chances of someone talking goes up, so I hope there are two or more perps involved.
