I looked for him a few moments ago in the Cumberland County jail roster, and he is not listed currently.
I'm surprised at that maybe he just hasn't been charged as of yet thanks for looking

I'm so sad. I think from a healing perspective, the deficits Heather suffered from her TBI weren't going to improve. But I was so hopeful she could find some stability. Her photos projected a great deal of joy, and I believe she had it within herself to have a good life. Now that's all been taken from her.

She was found around 5pm 1/10/2025. Murchison Rd runs parallel to Newark and intersects with State, which were both mentioned in the previous article. That narrows down her found location to about 2 blocks.

[Heather was] found dead Friday off Murchison Road, and her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Maj. Lee Hicks said Saturday that Williams' body was found by police officers during a "follow-up to the missing persons investigation" around 5 p.m. Friday.

I’ve lived in the area for about a decade. It may not come as a surprise, but this is not considered a *safe* part of town.
IMO

We are missing a lot of information here.

What time was she seen getting into the car on Jan 4? All I can find is that it was "nighttime."

By 7 p.m. it was 32 degrees, and the temperature continued to drop into the 20's.

No mention of a coat or footwear that I can find.

Did she get into the car willingly but leave in it unwillingly?

I'd like to know what she took with her. What is missing from her home? Where are her purse, wallet, keys, etc.?

It's been reported that the last text message that comes up on her phone is at 12:10 am. I'm assuming that's the morning of Jan 5? Was it an incoming or outgoing message?

And of course, whose car was it?!

The video surveillance shows her running out to the car and getting in willingly.

It doesn’t look like a thought-out dump spot and seems more like her killer could likely live nearby. Lots of homes around. Are there lots of cameras around, too? When I looked at the NC sex offender registry, there are several within a couple of blocks of that area.

It’s plausible that people have cameras around that area, of course. I haven’t scoped it out. It’s a pretty low income area, but cameras are fairly cheap now.

Was just about to add/say the same thing my moneys on ex/husband R.I.P Heather
My money is on the driver/owner of the car she was last seen getting into. Probably it was they who led the police to her body in the woods.

RIP Heather.

ADMIN NOTE:

Rest in peace dear Heather.

So very, very sad to read this update. Poor Heather, with such courage and strength to have endured so much in her short life and be subjected to such indignities while alive, and ultimately her beautiful life extinguished.

For now, as hard as it is in this one, please remember our rules folks.

The videos we have seen certainly paint the husband in a terrible light, but at this point in time he has NOT been officially named a POI / suspect in Heather's death. So, no super strong insinuations or direct accusations that he is Heather's killer.

I wish I was surprised, but sadly I'm not.

Oh S….! I was really hoping this would turn out differently. Rest peacefully, Heather. So sorry for her family, friends and all who loved her.

Oh no... So sad. I feel awful for Heather, she had it really hard for quite some time, and her poor family most likely never had a moment of peace of mind since she had that accident, they most likely spent all of these years worrying and always on edge until this very sad end.

I am impatiently waiting on an arrest. IMO

Sad to see this latest update.

I was really hoping this was all (and only) about the sister petitioning for a GAL and that Heather was safe & just blowing off some steam.

No real word from.LE about the car, absolutely nothing about the safety of the public, etc. No quotes in the news early on from her husband desperately wanting her safe return- only pleas from the sister......

So, so sad, but not a surprise.
May she rest in the peace she so deserved.
Prayers and solitude for her family and for those others who also loved her.
