Hi Gang! I'm so happy I made it in to work today. I hate ICE, especially in my rear wheel Mustang. I am totally useless on icy roads.

I complained to a customer I didn't have enough dead weight, like a dead relative, to weigh down my car. The customer laughed nervously. I think I am watching too many murder trials...

I'm glad you got out of the house. Maybe you shouldn't make small talk with customers right away, lol.

It seems Mr. Gaskins is back in the early days of Forensic Files as far as his knowledge of chemicals for tests for presumptive blood. Things have changed a lot in 10+ years.

Was Gaskins court appointed to AH's case. Did Amanda have any choice in accepting him as her defense?
Thank you.

  • #245
Where did she get this lawyer?!

  • #246
It seems pretty run down. But I believe that AH knew about that boat. She was just as much a part of this as GH in every way imo.

Yep, you nailed it, Cherry. Plotting, planning & participating. Before, during & after. It's called "acting in concert," and it means guilty.

No, she fired her court appointed attorney and hired Gaskins.

Good point, Cherry -- I can just see her describing to GH the lake, its proximity to her sister's house, her eyes getting wide and prolly kind of jumping up & down in her chair, etc. "Wow, hon, I know just the place..." blah, blah, blah. Take the chirren to see her sister, take the hutch as the excuse for the trailer, etc... Fun trip.

Didn't her sister testify in the GH trial that AH had been out on that boat many times before & was good at fishing.

AH knew about everything available on the Berry property. That was her sister. She knew about the lake, the boat, etc, etc.

I find it interesting when defendants don't react upon seeing the most graphic scenes/pics when presented in their trials. It's not evidence of anything, but on a purely human level wouldn't you feel horror?

Good point. It's like they are thinking, "Been there, done that, big deal." It's like most of them were watching a re-run of some insignificant TV show.

PS. One exception comes to mind: Little Jodi Arias cried & cried & cried. Poor thing.

Actually, neither plotting or planning are required for an "acting in concert" charge. Participating is, and it's obvious that AH did participate and go along with everything. The state is meticulously showing how she had multiple opportunities to call police, so her claim of "OMG life in danger" doesn't wash.

Which begs the question, who is paying him? She certainly doesn't have any more money, I would think?

Morning all, have been thinking about how Amanda arrives to court, leans over to def.atty, smiles, whispers during apparently pleasant conversation. That baffles me, Tis the same every morning. Am watching wral, they really do not show def. table much after that. Does her demeanor change ?

It's like trying to bolt the stable door after the horse has bolted lol. Don't recall him objecting when the inference was made on Friday. Is Gaskins a decent lawyer? From Aus he's coming across as a shady bumbling fool.

These articles pretty much say it all.
Still unclear on how he is actually practicing again.

Sorry if asked and answered. What was the ruling on the motion?

:judge: Judge Stephens: Not right now, Sir, it's :offtopic:

:denied: We' discuss it when it comes up.

Atty Gaskins: :nevermind:

Yeah, I remember the hands over the face, fake crying and PEEKING through her fingers. Class act that Jodi Arias.

Yes. As soon as the camera pans to the witness box her head starts spinning for the rest of the day.
