probally being grilled by CID. criminal investigation.

Why are we assuming just because the Hubby is at Bragg that he's being grilled? Isn't it just as likely that he is at Bragg handing out fliers there? Or helping with the investigation by giving them as much info about his wife as he can?

Usually if an SO's alibi is skunked in a case like this, we'd have heard about it by now, either via MSM, or through statements made by others.

I feel really badly for this guy that he's going through absolute hell, yet he's already under the microscope just by nature of being married. It's already been widely reported that *he* wasn't the last known person to be seen in the presence of Kelli. It's also been reported, and not once refuted, that he wasn't in the state at the time of Kelli's disappearance.

I'm going to cut this poor dude some slack until there is evidence that his alibi isn't holding up.

exactly...where did they find the phone?

Well, it would be interesting to know. They did search Kelli's home, so possibly there, which would tell us that she did make it home.

Per ABC story dated 4/18...."The last ping from Bordeaux's cell phone came late Friday or early Saturday off a tower off the Ramsey Street corridor, the area police plan to scour for clues, Fayetteville Police Chief Tom Bergamine said." Is Ramsey Street corridor by the pond?

The phone has been ringing.

Do we know for sure that it is LE that has her phone? Or could someone else have it?

Just an FYI, I got steel steer. :rocker:

So I googled this because I am not wise in the way of motorcycles, and got this super cool motor scooter with a steel ribcage and skull mounted on the front. If you ride one of these you are AMAZING!

If it was found in her home, she DID make it there. She had her phone at the bar.

Just a few questions for VOH...

- Was KB actually seen leaving the bar?

- Was she seen leaving with NH?

- Did anyone see her in the parking lot, or getting into NH's car?

- Did she have a purse or wallet with her? We know she had her cell phone w/her.

- How are the motorcycle guys who frequent Froggies taking this? I imagine they feel protective about the female patrons and she was such a bitty thing. Big scary looking dudes but probably marshmellow soft insides for women & kids.

One thought I had related to NH's story about "dropping her off." IF she had a purse or wallet and it has not been found, her keys not found, etc. then she obviously never made it as far as her apartment door. Backing up from there, one can assume she didn't make it as far as her apartment complex. If NH did something to her then he would have needed to dispose of or at least hide whatever items she had with her. He can't say he saw her go to her apt door because if he has those items he knows police know she never made it that far.

People are assuming NH's story is the truth. As far as I'm concerned, her last known location was the bar and then NH's car if anyone spotted her leaving with him. And that's it.

case map is linked in the opening post of the thread

also: I had not heard they have found the phone???

No, but I had previously explained the location of the cell towers on Ramsey Street. Both her home and the bar are in between the two towers.

Apologies in advance (Sorry Nursie!) for not having the link handy to the video, as I am still searching for it.

In scanning news articles via Google yesterday, one outlet did have an interview with a Male friend of Kelli's from work that often hung out with her. He'd texted her early Friday, then again around midday, but hadn't heard from her afterwards and found it odd because she usually got a response within an hour. Later in the w/e he checked Facebook, noted her sister's pleas and only then discovered she was missing.

He seemed to be a decent gent. Late 20's, early 30s, his wife also became friends with Kelli over time. Echoed many other statements in MSM that Kelli was very responsible. I'll try to find the video, as perhaps he is one of the other male friends LE are speaking with.

As for the hubby, I'm going to hope that since the Orlando Sentinel reported that he was indeed in FL with his Dad, that it is true. With all that the Sentinel learned during Caylee's case, I'm hoping that they learned enough to fact check before printing. (Get Kathi B on this to check it out!)

Also, possibly hubby has been well advised to avoid press & public comments, to avoid muddying up the LE tip line with white rabbit sightings. We've all seen how focus on wrong POI can lead investigations astray. I didn't catch any negative vibes about hubby in any of the family's comments thus far, so I'm in the camp that thinks suspicion of him is a non-starter at this point.

Mad props to Kelli's brother Matt for the way he handled the presser. He kept it in control, and guided the press very well to ensure that focus stayed on the family's message to find Kelli and keep her front & center, not speculation. Very well done. I hope he continues as family PR person. He had the cojones to stand his ground for his sister's best interests.

I wouldn't want to be the POI when charges get laid. I doubt Kelli's unit will take kindly to someone messing with one of their own. Nope.

That was in interview with John Buratti on (I think) GMA. He was her boss and they still remain friends.

"Her husband is a friend of my son's. My son was with her husband early Saturday morning in St. Cloud, FL. They are separated but he is and has been living back in St. Cloud for almost a month. Not sure what facebook profile you are looking at but his profile does show a picture of Mike and his wife, Kelli. Just wanted to clear up any concerns as to her husband."

The statement above was by someone posting at http://www.wesh.com/r/30911372/detail.html in response to a comment made following an article about Kelli's case.

Good to know. Never thought her husband was a suspect. I did see his profile picture of her but no other pictures. However her profile is loaded with pictures of them two together. I just saw on the news that they are searching pond right now.

wonder how they got her phone? You would think she had it with her when she was supposedly being dropped off.

did they 'find' it?

Key question is where did they (or someone else) find it?

Options:
  • bar (ruling out because of the reports someone texted 'home safely')
  • the apartment - which would imply she did arrive home after Froggy's, on foot or otherwise
  • turned in by someone who found it
  • turned in by searchers who discovered it as part of search
  • from her car - which we know was searched
  • or ???

Other possibilities?

Do we know for sure that it is LE that has her phone? Or could someone else have it?

If someone else had it, the police would have located it or will very shortly after this. Perhaps, the phone itself has not been found, but the number has been transferred to a new phone by the police.
