Good to know. Never thought her husband was a suspect. I did see his profile picture of her but no other pictures. However her profile is loaded with pictures of them two together. I just saw on the news that they are searching pond right now.
Where? Again?

1) Yes
2) I cannot answer this
3) I cannot answer this
4) No.
5) I will report on this later. But yes most of them are.

BBM - Can you answer if she had one when she got to the bar?

well, we know 'someone' stated that a text was found on it stating she was home. soooo, I assume LE has it.

It was not stated the text was found on the phone, but that she reportedly sent two texts. One said "I'm home safely" but did not say to who. The second text did not have content or contact.

:floorlaugh: not at all - just a simple cruise I call Little Boy Blue or Blue for short.

Sorry for the O/T - I have a beaut I call ol' blue... a '99 midnight blue fatboy (not my hubby.. my bike! lol).

"Bikers" get a bad rap because of movies and, yes, some clubs. I myself am a professional and I do ride, and have ridden alongside many clubs, and within an all female club, as well. We do fundraisers. For charity. When we ride we might look 'skeery'.. but we aren't. We are attorneys, paralegals, business owners, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, moms and dads. So glad for your description of Froggy's, and the patrons that frequent it. They may be 'bikers', but they's good people!

Why are we assuming just because the Hubby is at Bragg that he's being grilled? Isn't it just as likely that he is at Bragg handing out fliers there? Or helping with the investigation by giving them as much info about his wife as he can?

Usually if an SO's alibi is skunked in a case like this, we'd have heard about it by now, either via MSM, or through statements made by others.

I feel really badly for this guy that he's going through absolute hell, yet he's already under the microscope just by nature of being married. It's already been widely reported that *he* wasn't the last known person to be seen in the presence of Kelli. It's also been reported, and not once refuted, that he wasn't in the state at the time of Kelli's disappearance.

I'm going to cut this poor dude some slack until there is evidence that his alibi isn't holding up.

Because there has been so much confusion regarding the state of their relationship. The family says they're okay but the Army (don't know source) said they were separated and her sister, I think, said their marriage was stressed because of the demands of Kelli being a soldier.

That said, I agree with everything you posted but we're confused about the truth. We know that statistically, when a wife goes missing, it's her other half who is responsible. Of course, there are exceptions.

possibly not: they found Michelle Parker's phone underwater iirc

Nah, Bee, we're just running scenarios on why phone is now ringing Pretty sure that what mind you had left is still intact. I think. :seeya:

Based on MSM interview with her friend - and VOH - who state that the phone is ringing now, yet appeared to be going straight to vm earlier, it either got turned back on, recharged, or as VOH wisely suggested, LE might have swapped the number out to a new phone. All possible. Which one probable?

Thought, not based on anything: Did detectives turn the phone line back on, knowing it would get out, to make the perp think "oh ^@&#! They found the phone - they are close!"

[NH] "maintained Bordeaux asked him to bring her to Froggy Bottoms Friday night where he helps tend the bar."

http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/local&id=8627792

VOH do you know if NH ever served in this capacity?

He has never tended bar to my knowledge. However, my belief of him being the bouncer there was because I was told he was and he acted upon it. He would ID people and help load stock and empty trash behind the bar.

Thanks. That's cool the way you linked this in your original post - I don't know how to do it that way. Anyway, so her phone had been going straight to vm but her friend continued to call it. It's unclear as to when this occurred but now the phone just rings and rings? Do I have that straight?

I don't know anything about voicemail, but if the voicemail 'box' gets full, then wouldn't the phone just ring and ring like that?

Might not matter much. Depending on type of phone, simm cards usually survive. Even cruddy old blackberry can survive the occasional dunk in toilet. (Don't ask how I know this.) If it was an iPhone, their hardware is even more weather & accident friendly. No batteries exposed to elements for rot.

Also, nowadays, most cell info is obtained from the service providers anyway. Physical loss or damage of the phone itself doesn't always hamper investigations as they would have 5 years ago even.

I would definitely like to know what type of phone Kelli used. As a heavy text user, most likely some sort of smart phone. Blackberry would mean a lot of communication via BBM. iPhone would mean her gps on by default, and/or 'find my phone' feature might have been activated. Might have had apps set to auto push data, too, which would definitely help with finding phone by location.

Things that make ya go 'hmmmm...'

VOH, may I ask one more question? Is there a restaurant that is open all night in the are that bar folks are known to go to after "close"? I know in my town, there is a Village Inn and they actually stay open later on Friday, Saturday and Wednesday's to accommodate the "bar crowd".

This town is FULL of Waffle Houses. In fact, one part of town has 2 within 500 feet of each other! They are open 24- hours. There is one located on Ramsey Street, further South. I believe it is by the southern cell tower. It is probably about 2.5 - 3 miles from Froggys.

In addition, within that same approximate distance, there is Wendy's and a Cook Out open late (I think both are until 3 am) but only for drive through service.

Thanks VOH. Perhaps in NH's mind, stocking and emptying trash is helping to tend the bar.

So, NH was possibly the bar bouncer.

Have you known him to transport bar patrons to and from bar?

  • #136
So I am still on the fence... I do have a thought though. Is it possible that KB had NH pick her up or drop her off down the street as an effort to be careful? In other words, maybe she didn't want him to know exactly which apt. was hers. Not sure what difference that makes but it was just a thought I had.

VOH, thank you for all your insight!

I agree Potabella, I don't think she ever made it home that night and I am thinking the phone has been recovered at the bar or near it. I am not sure SHE wrote the message on her phone that she was home safe. JMO.

I forget which talking head said it (I think it was on JVM) but he basically said that the wording in the test was odd and too short: "got home safely"

and I totally agree with him...

who says that?

I am sure LE is analyzing the way in which she texts (everyone has a unique style much like posting here) and comparing it to this three word utterance.
