Nurse, What is AIT?

Also, does anyone know if Kelli was going to be in this area for long or if it was a stopping point prior to deployment?

My sons best friend is Army, his wife stayed here when he was deployed to Korea, then he was back no time and off to Afghanistan. Sadly, their new marriage did not and could not take it. They are separated.

AIT= advanced individual training


Kelli would go to basic training and then directly on to AIT for her MOS (which is combat medic). Her first duty assignment was the unit she is currently with at Fort Bragg. Permanent party duty is usually 2-3 years (with dependents the army tries to keep it at 3 and she is married so most likely she would be at Bragg for 3 years). If her unit deploys or she gets assigned to a unit that is deploying she would deploy from Bragg. If she attended any other courses like airborne, etc, she would go do them and return to her permanent duty station, which is Bragg.

I think that is exactly what the DA is going to do once they locate Kelli's body. I do believe if he is arrested or whomever is arrested this will be a death penalty case.

Imo, that is why they arrested him on his RSO violation so it will give them ample time to investgate the case and they dont have to worry about him running. Now they know exactly where he is at all times.

Kelli was assigned to a medial unit and was most likely working in a TMC (troop medical clinic) or the health clinic on post (I say most likely because I am not sure exactly where her unit works.

We have lots of friends currently Perm. Party at Bragg.

If he is not charged with this crime, he will do his time on what the other charges are, which I feel won't amount to much. Then he will be cut loose and live his life, probably not in Fayetteville though, I would assume he would want to go where his status is unknown again. IMHO

If he is off paper, the world is his oyster...

He was 16 at the time, right? Do we know if he was tried as a juvenile or an adult?

Do we know the amount of time he served for this offense and whether he is on parole or probation?

It would make a big difference imo because this is a parole or probation violation and he could do the rest of his remaining time he got.

Do we know the amount of time he served for this offense and whether he is on parole or probation?

OBE, From what I have seen on his criminal history, he is off paper now. He was allegedly tried as an adult. But when looking at his Parole history, the updating of his registering, he has bounced around a bit, but all within the same general area. He is being held on some bogus NPOI and other wrist slapping offenses right now. I am really concerned they better get a fire under their butts if they are going to gather evidence and charge him. They don't have a large window and they will have to release him otherwise. His bond is what throws me.... That is so high for his violations...

I will put it this way, my understanding is the Air Force does not accept felons. In addition, there is absolutely no way a felon would receive a top secret security clearance required for the satellite tech MOS.

I think that since Nick looks like a nice trusting guy (from the interviews that I've seen), I could easily understand why she went with him to the bar. He doesn't look dangerous or like a pervert. He looks normal. If she is the kind of girl that gets along with both girls and guys it doesn't seem that off to me that they planned to hang out together that night. I have been in that situation many times in my life. At least I did before I was married. They were strictly platonic relationships. My husband wouldn't allow it now but I just have an easy time getting along with guys. Most predators end up being the ones people trusted.

What I have a hard time reconciling is nice guy,trusting,give him my phone number.take his,hang out,call him for a ride,or tell him to pick me up when he calls,get in a car with him at 1:30 in the morning but I do not want this guy to know where I live.

O/T:
My granddaughter and her husband have been at Bragg for going on 4 years now. He is an NCO and is currently in South Korea on his second tour there after UAE. He will be coming back to Bragg in a few months.

Back on topic: Is the bar that Kelli went to one that is off limits for military personnel? I asked my granddaughter and she doesn't know. She has only been out with friends twice and were meeting up other military.

Do very many military go to Froggy Bottoms? That is probably a better question for VOH, though.

I do not think he is currently 'on paper', Ocean. He was arrested for not providing a good address since Fayetteville is not his current address on the SO site.

He also has the traffic counts of no insurance as well as not having a clear title to the vehicle he drives. I do not know if that is settled yet or not.

LE may have arrested NH for those things.

Froggy's has not been black-listed, yet. There are significant amount of GI's that go there.

He is a registered sex offender is he not and he must furnish any new address within 10 days of the new move. So how is this bogus? What is NPOI?

Did the Judge set the bond amount? I even missed that. How much is his bond?

Even if they release him they will keep track of him constantly. With him being in jail... at least for now... they dont have to spend the manhours to keep track of him.

They did that in the Guy Heinz Jr. mass murder case. They arrested him for misdemeanor charges until they could get the investigation underway and in 8 days they received one item back from the lab and then arrested him for 7 murders and one attempted murder.

That is because in my opinion Nick is lying. This is a big reason why people don't believe him. It sounds off. Why would she have him pick her up and drop her off if she didn't want him to know where she lives?? Because he's full of $&@# and this is not what really happened.

I just hope and pray that Kelli has not been there with the very person from post that reported her missing. I know it was supposedly someone on post who reported her missing when she hadn't come in even by noontime.

I hope it was the command on post that reported Kelli missing and not an individual soldier.
