I am worried not only about the state's presentation, but the unidentified second DNA profile. I think that may provide a reasonable doubt, no matter how much evidence.
I had a thought about that. If someone else touched the door (at another time), and then Janet's blood smear was on top of that, would both DNA's show up in the swab LE took? or doesn't it work like that?
It does work like that--the DNA result would be a mix. I am worried about it too but I hope the State will find a way to beat down it's importance before or during closing arguments. However, that's the one big thing the defense has and they aren't going to let go of it very easily.
