NC vs. Raven Abaroa ~ the Trial 3

I am worried not only about the state's presentation, but the unidentified second DNA profile. I think that may provide a reasonable doubt, no matter how much evidence.

I had a thought about that. If someone else touched the door (at another time), and then Janet's blood smear was on top of that, would both DNA's show up in the swab LE took? or doesn't it work like that?

It does work like that--the DNA result would be a mix. I am worried about it too but I hope the State will find a way to beat down it's importance before or during closing arguments. However, that's the one big thing the defense has and they aren't going to let go of it very easily.

I wish I knew, JJ. I'm not sure except to show that Raven lied about Janet getting ready for bed before he left to play soccer. I don't think she had a chance to get ready for bed that night... I think he killed her BEFORE he left the house, and having the contacts still in her eyes, indicates that she did not get a chance to prepare for bed that night.
Not trying to be difficult - really. lol If she were going to watch Gen Hosp. she would have left them in to watch, and taken them out after it was over - but she didn't get that far.
The fact that he told both stories seems more important to me than to disprove one of the stories?????

I declare, this is the first trial I have ever watched in which the witnesses were allowed to sit in the courtroom to hear all of the testimony prior to their own testimony.

Donna Jackson is da bomb! She is very articulate and professional. I like her too. I'd love to buy her lunch and talk about CSI stuff with her. I bet she's a really nice lady.

Oh I would too. If you ever work it out, let me know because I would love to join you! And I'll pay :)

It was testified to that Janet kept her 'TV watching' glasses next to the bed on the night stand. Had she been in bed watching General Hospital, she would have taken out her lenses and been wearing her glasses.

How about I pay for lunch and you pay for my plane ticket all the way out there. I'm sitting here on the West Coast, LOL!

were the lens shattered in her eye, meaning was she hit and they fragmented?

That's what I do; and we wearers do that so we DONT fall asleep with them in and it does happen...but not often. It's really quite painful! I'm wondering if RA hit her in the face, punching her like his ex wife described and the lenses fragmented in her eye????

OMG they were fragmented. This hurts my eye. IF anyone has ever had a lens go to the back or upper eyeball and get a bit lost you know that feeling and it HURTS. To think of a lens shattering in the eye....that really bothers me. Immensely!!

OMG gas permeable lenses Breathe. I wear them. IOW they absorb fluid...and are comfortable to wear.

OMG my eye! Oh poor Janet now that had to have really hurt her very badly. I must say. His photos are excellent.

Oh they were soft lenses.....GPR don't go inside out only soft lenses do.

If I win the huge lottery on Saturday night I'll fly you back and forth every time you want to come. You may remember how great the BBQ is here!!

Dr is showing pictures of the fragmented Lens found in her eyes or eye. And they were able to track down the BRAND (fgs) They were An Acuvue II no silicone, they also absorb water, not a bifocal lens either. Acuvue 2 comes in daily or extended wear. Can sleep in them or not. Depends on the script. Now we need to know; did she have extended wear?

I tried soft lens once after almost 30 yrs of hard lens and Gas Permeable and was totally freaked out how maliable they were, meaning they were pliable and you could bend them and put them inside out. lol. I prefer my GasPermeable Ridgid. I Like how easy they are to care for and get excellent vision with my astigmatism. Those are fragments showing her lenses were shattered IN HER EYE. That is so disturbing let me just say.

The comforting thought is that they may have fragmented due to it having been several years since her death before this doctor performed his analysis. Decomp, etc. I would hate to think RA struck her so hard in the face that it fragmented her contacts although I am certain he could have easily done it without thinking twice.
