LE - homicide announcement - They would not call it so if they did not honestly believe it was one. They have every reason to believe foul play was involved and they are not looking for a living chid. IMO

I only wish I knew what they knew that makes them feel very confident that she is dead.

I understand and I agree. What I am saying is that until she comes down from NCMEC, there has not been info sent to NCMEC with 100% confirmation that she has been located. So.........

DARN...No LE would not say it was just to put pressure on a perp. LE is not in the hint business, if they are working it as a homicide, they have a reason. I can understand the family wanting to hold on to hope, but from a sleuth (for lack of a better word) standing she's dead. And I don't mean for that to sound cold...it breaks my heart typing it. But it's reality.

Not sure which ones he has been at other than the wood-chipper site.

On an earlier question you posed, it would seem to me that the places that need to be searched would be any areas of interest inside the green perimeter and then fan out to areas inside the red perimeter. Reason being is that most of EB's life has been spent inside the green perimeter and therefore more familiarity with out of the way places.

Thanks for the map!

Me thinks they got preliminary findings back from the vehicles that they impounded to make that announcement that it was now a homicide. MOO

I sure hopes so! :praying:

ETA not taht I hope and pray she is dead, I believe that she is and I hope and pray LE is getting evidence and leads that will allow Zahra's family bury her.

I'd be very interested to have your first hand account of Second Life - I know it is very similar to IMVU - Can you give us any insights into IMVU? - I'm guessing she was part of a goth/vampire/fairy group/family. I've heard bits and pieces about it but would love to get your views.

Yes I do. I've been in Second Life for over 3 years and own 2 Sims there. Second Life has it's own financial system--a currency exchange--where you can turn real life dollars into Lindens. Lindens are second life dollars which you can use to buy clothes, land, pets, helicopters ect. Whatever you are into. Fashion modeling and sex role-play are very lucrative ways to earn money in SL. You can take that money earned and turn it into real life cash.

Second Life also has it's own real estate, where you can buy and sell land (Sims). There is a search engine in SecondLife that allows you to search for Sims of your interests. It is NO place for children that is for sure. It is video and live chat enabled so you can actually voice speak to your friends there while exploring.

Is there anything in particular that you would like to know?

* I wanted to add that it can be a fun place to visit and companies such as CNN do business as well as hold training meetings there. For example: Cisco has 650 employee avatars registered in Second Life and six locations (known in Second Life as "islands" or "sims"), four of which are open to the public. The company sponsors events once a week on average. NASA is there as well.

I'm new here and having a hard time keeping up. Is there any information about how SM is acting or what she is saying? The dogs hitting on the tree equipment was huge in the beginning of this. And now it seems to be an accidental hit by the dogs. What is AB saying now? Did "they" find anything from the mattress and frame that was taken from the house? Where is Zahra? Did they sell her?

Regarding whether AB had any criminal records in Australia...

If we go by what we've read, AB lived in a very small town where everyone likely knew everyone else's business. He was quite young, about 22, when Zahra was born and had lived with his parents in that small town for a long time. I believe he was a general labourer at local businesses and probably worked with a lot of people who lived in the area. I really don't think he would have been racking up a criminal record. The town rallied around him and Zahra during her cancer struggle and I'm sure that if he was known as the local drug dealer or common criminal, it would have come out then. If not, I'm sure it would be all over that FB for Zahra by now. JMO of course.

Thank you. I was thinking more so about IMVU, I've heard that people join groups or families of vampires and they get married online, have affairs then fallouts and join other families. I know they have 1000's of chat rooms - just wondering if you know much about that?

I think if LE says they are now working a homicide....that's kinda proof that she's dead.

my heart fell into my stomach reading that .. I think it's highly unlikely she is alive, but I can't believe it until she is found. With that said, how the @#$% can AB believe it and set up a 'memorial' ... ?? I want to think that was just a reporter's mistake to use that word.

Yes, he has graduated , but I don't think he's a patrol officer. It was stated in facebook comments that he works in the police field (detective? forensics? office? who knows?) but the way it was worded I don't think he's an actual officer.

In my experience, if a person uses those words they are likely a security guard or something of the sort. If someone works in LE, they call it as it is, not "in the police field".

People have vigils all the time. I think that's what it was. I really think it was reporter error calling a memorial.

I think the term memorial may have been the reporters choice. It doesn't seem like a memorial when they are writing "we miss you..... come home ... anyone with information ..... "

He may also have information from LE that has him believing one way or the other (ie; he knows in his mind that LE has solid reason to believe she'd dead but his heart wants to hold hope she's still alive).

I get a very easy feeling about AB and it's not at all suspicious. I'm usually a pretty good judge of people too. I would think it would be silly to think that police haven't interrogated him. He's spent hours and hours and hours with them over the last 4 days. They've pushed him hard for answers, that I can promise.

And finally, I think he's "allowed out" because they have no reason to believe he was involved.

The thing that really stood out to me that AB was likely NOT at all involved is that there are TONS of people coming forward with horror stories about EB.... including her own family. However, I haven't heard anyone who knew him say harsh things about AB. The fact that EB's FAMILY is standing beside him.... speaks volumes to me.

bellyup, I wish I had the same confidence as you. I just don't. One, he's an enabler. Just because he stood aside and watched the horror unfold, or knew something bad was happening and didn't stop it doesn't make him less of a monster. That was his flesh and blood and he didn't protect her. Mark one against him in my book.

Two, he's acting all Dexter like, but not likable like Dexter. (I just got finished watching tonights ep, btw). He's aloof and very unemotional, and during a small vigil/memorial/whatever, he's just going about his business like Zahra dead means nothing to him. It's like he has no emotions, like he's Dexter, trying to fit in and make people believe he's human when he's really not. He's not all that upset that his only daughter is missing. He's not upset at people doing something in her memory, meaning she's dead. And he's not that upset it's a homicide investigation. It makes me wonder, did he ever really love Zahra at all?

It just seems like he knows what happened, and as long as he thinks he's fooling everyone, he's just going about his business like nothing is wrong. I don't like it, I don't get a good feeling about it, and I just can't seem him as totally innocent of what happened to her. His life choices led to this, and that includes bringing EB into Zahra's life, ripping Zahra from the wonderful life she had in Australia for EB, and letting EB abuse and finally kill his child. She probably guilted him into helping with the coverup, or he watched it happen, didn't stop it, and covered it up once she was gone.

He's just as complicit as EB in this, and him walking around makes me nervous. I hope LE is watching him closely, and the second he tries to run or do something else stupid, I hope they nail his butt to the wall and make him pay for what he did. I think I loathe those that see what's going on and don't stop it as much as the actual killers.

I also could swear that there are minor charges they could haul him in for, like forgery or something else he did with EB? Why don't they do that instead of letting him walk around free?

ETA: Ignorance just doesn't work for me either. There is no excuse for not knowing how your own child is doing or where your child is, and I don't care how many jobs he was working. That is his flesh and blood, and he didn't care what was happening to her or where she was. He hardly checked on her welfare. That sounds like a negligent parent to me. They should at least charge with him child neglect.

LE is not even announcing in the media for people to look for her alive. There has been no description of what she supposedly would have been wearing which I'm sure they got from EB prior to her arrest. All media accounts indicate that they are looking for a body :(.

I am still wondering why they would circle the cars about the wood pile in the back? Its a moot point whether or not it was a vigil or a memorial. Why circle a wood pile? Does anyone know if this is the same wood pile that was on fire?
