There I go with my assumptions again. I assumed that his ersponal belongings were being gathered (staged) in the backyard so the LE could see everything and then once cleared he could load it up into the car and head on out.

As I said, pure speculation.

ETA He may instead have been gathering up work/tool sort of items that belong either to him or his employer

I was just thinking .. he was gathering up markers, balloons, etc. from the "memorial" (which, imo should have been called a "vigil" as we don't have proof she's dead yet.)

Yeah, but don't FOI requests take ages?

It's quite interesting how much info you can find on people in the US, isn't it? Stuff that you would never be able to access here in Aus. Sometimes it's a two-edged sword though, huh?

Sure is, we have access to virtually nothing and what we do is so damn hard to get. Wish it was more open like in the States.

Yeah, why is the same man saying he'll take Zahra back to Australia if found letting people do some kind of memorial to Zahra like it's no big deal? Which is it, Mr AB? Are you holding out hope she's alive or do you know she's dead?

I am really suspicious and upset with him right now. It's crazy the police haven't arrested him and interrogated him yet. I don't think he'll hold up well under interrogation. Why not bring him in? Why allow to remain out and let him think he's getting away with this?

...because he is "cooperating" with them at the moment. i would say they have him right where they want him right now.

...he's out on his own, no big bad wife to hide behind/be told what to do by. if arrested for any reason, he would lawyer up/shut up.

...i'm sure they're watching him 24/7, he'll break soon, and when he does it will be to his new "pals" LE----and not to a lawyer. perfect.

okay so it is not necessarily the degree of the crime but more about the type of NC law that is being enforced by the charge. Yes?

Thank you so much for going to the trouble to look it up for me. I am pretty dumb when it comes to the prosecutorial stuff :)

And may I add OT I can't wait to get to the next page so we can loose the blown out margins! But the map that did it was well worth it so I thank the poster despite the margins

In recent months I believe he had limited interaction with Zahra. Assuming he didn't know she was gone, just the fact that he didn't check in on Zahra since that Thursday night and not know she wasn't in the house when he was home that Saturday morning, especially after the fire, confirms that for me. From the little we know, it appears as though AB always held down a job in Australia and he likely didn't have any work in the US prior to getting the job with the landscape company. A job that he got through a neighbour. Still not sure if he is even legally able to work in the US. I'm sure he actually enjoyed having that job and his boss seemed to think he was a good worker so he obviously wasn't slacking off. His boss even rented his house to them so he must have thought well of him.

If you speak with anyone who's husband works in construction/landscaping on a seasonal basis, the work requires long hours during the warmer months and they spend very little time at home. They are home late and back out again early. Most work at least 6 days a week during this time.

It has been noted that things seemed good with Zahra while they were living with her father and they were around the immediate family. Things started to go downhill after they had the falling out and moved away. With no family or friends to socialize with and a husband (whom she described as the love of her life and her soulmate) who was putting in very long hours at a likely minimum wage job, leaving her alone to take care of his daughter, EB must have been going crazy...and taking out her frustration on Zahra.

The one thing I do have a problem with is the fact that Zahra was not in school. Did AB actually think EB was officially homeschooling her?

You're most welcome.. I participate in the virtual world of Second Life, which is very much similar, and although I am into terraforming (designing) Sims (land) there (3d programming)... there ARE indeed adult sims there with a ton of adult role playing going on. Just FYI

I'd be very interested to have your first hand account of Second Life - I know it is very similar to IMVU - Can you give us any insights into IMVU? - I'm guessing she was part of a goth/vampire/fairy group/family. I've heard bits and pieces about it but would love to get your views.

I think if LE says they are now working a homicide....that's kinda proof that she's dead.

Oops .. that would be me .. so I will do a couple of posts to get through the page......sorrry

Makes me wonder how things would have been different if LE had left EB out with him and wired up the house, phones and and cars. Can you imagine the fights? I wonder what they would have said to each other. Maybe they should have tried that first.

Actually that is a question I have been meaning to ask. Your LE over there wouldn't call that if it wasn't, would they? I mean they wouldn't call it a homicide in the hopes of putting pressure on the players? Surely they would need to have some very specific evidence of death otherwise they would keep it as a missing persons case as in Kyron Horman. Is that right?

Yes, it's basically just the source of the law. Could be any type of crime--felony, misdemeanor....The states that I am familiar with do not use "common law" in the name of the charge.

I'm so happy to read your comment about the blown out margins! I thought it was me! I've been trying to figure out what I did and how to un-do it!

No. That is a hint that LE suspects she has been murdered. Just like a hint that her coming down from NCMEC is that there has been something resolved in the case and she is no longer considered a missing endangered child because she has been found.

Until something changes with confirmation from either, all we've got is hints.

LE - homicide announcement - They would not call it so if they did not honestly believe it was one. They have every reason to believe foul play was involved and they are not looking for a living chid. IMO

I only wish I knew what they knew that makes them feel very confident that she is dead.

That is scary to think about, but who else would with him working. I don't know much about homeschooling, but they still have to pass just like regular school right. Do you graduate just like in regular school? Forgive my ignorance.
